  1. I'd really love to have a content warning system similar to the tag system. It would auto-populate based on the current game or let streamers add warnings for Just Chatting or Talkshow streams. I'd prefer the system to be more opt-in than a popup every time you enter a stream. It would have a button near the category and tags part of the UI that reveals relevant warnings. It would be super nice if it could be user configurable to display a pop up only if a user navigates to a stream that contains a warning they've chosen to be…

  2. I have license to play music from Monstercat. I have a playlist with content creator tracks (no non-licensable tracks). My past 6 streams, I get muted audio. I know exactly what the muted audio is used for, which is muting "copyrighted songs". Which is true, but I pay license to play them. Now, I edit my streams, music still in my videos, and upload them on YouTube, but I don't get claimed there. This is all in Twitch's end. I hope this can be fixed, because I pay money to pay money so I don't get claimed, or muted audio,…

  3. Put together a comprehensive list of games that could put streamers at risk of DMCA. Similar to how there is a banned list of games not allowed to play on Twitch (outdated). This DMCA list would need to be updated frequently.

Maybe also with a description of what could cause a strike in the game. Would allow for at risk games to still be streamed and promoted, but would allow streamers to be more prepared to mute if necessary.

  4. Block users banned from a channel from joining a raid from the channel the users are banned from to the raided channel, and also not notifying the banned users the name of the raid target channel (specifically the notification appearing on the top of the chat when the raid is about to happen).

As with a raid, the raiding streamer will be in the chat of the raided channel, and the raiding and raided channels usually have related communities, malicious users can use this opportunity to continue harassing the streamer or spreading damage to related communities, despite being banned from…

  5. Mostly because this happened to me, but I have a channel blocked. I have had them blocked for a very long time for various off-platform reasons. I received a randomly gifted sub for said channel today.

If you have a channel blocked you should not be able to randomly receive a gifted sub for said channel. I understand there's an option to prevent receiving gifted subs to channels you don't follow, but in this instance, I didn't think I had to worry about that since the person was blocked already.

  7. Idea: Changes or the very least, more transparency on what constitutes as a ban from twitch in regards to breaking streamer guidelines. I also think it'd be fair as well if someone was banned unfairly, how they can have their repeal submission process proceed in an efficient and transparent manner as well.

Examples: Several esports players who have admitted to harassment, grooming, and assault on other community have their accounts still up and not banned (anti, cinnepie). Inversely, NairoMK who has new evidence from a lawsuit showing he was in fact a victim of **** has his account banned.

    Resolution:…

  10. Hello,

Being follow-botted in a stream is not something that is pleasant when the streamer wants authentic following.

When this happens, there is no way to stop it. Streamers wishing to remove these fake followers must manually remove them.

This burden can be lightened if there would be a way in the Twitch channel / live settings to block the Follow feature for some time and unblock it later.

This feature request will help streamers block these follow-bot attacks and help them retake control of their stream.

  11. This suggestion is based on PositiveIona's idea at https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/933812-safety/suggestions/44529945-sans-serif-fonts

However, the suggestion to use serif-fonts to resolve the lower case 'l' vs upper case 'I' problem (to clarify the first one is an 'L' and the second one is an 'i') will make the platform less accessible for certain people, ESPECIALLY those with dyslexia. So you'd just be replacing one problem with an entirely new one.

I'd like to propose that, instead of adding serifs, we should find a font that distinguishes the letters more clearly whilst still being sans-serif.
Some examples include: Verdana, Tahoma, Trebuchet, or Open-Dyslexic; though I'm…

  12. As a streamer and avid Twitch viewer, there are many community members who do not seem to understand the "unwritten rules" of Twitch. It would be lovely to have a resource or link to direct these people to. Perhaps an informative hub similar to the help center but focused on interpersonal conduct. Videos, articles, etc.

    Some of the things observed:
    - A user entering chat and stating they are underage (less than 13 for TOS violation, less than 18 in mature channels)
    - Asking for mod privledges
    - Asking for a gift sub
    - First message in a channel: "Can…

  13. I'm a streamer on this platform, and have been for quite a few years. I would like to talk about some issues that I have with the new code of conduct of community guidelines if you would give me the chance, and that would be the dress code here on twitch.

Twitch is a platform for all who wish to voice their opinions, play games, or provide any sort of entertainment, and I'm all for supporting that. However, there is an on-going problem that I am noticing every day, and it's getting worse. I am a female streamer on twitch.…

  14. The current system on Twitch where you have Mature Audience setting, you really need to add a better Age Verification system than a button to confirm you are of age. To me this is lazy age verification, you need to have actual age verification before being allowed to watch streams that are marked for Mature Audience. It's such a simple process where you can confirm your age once with a third-party entity that can verify your actual age with official documents, so no documents are handled by Twitch directly, thus keeping the security and confidentiality of it's users sensitive information.

  15. When a streamer is suspended or banned, that streamer has no idea what the actual violation was and when it took place.

The violation is too vague and doesn't offer any specific details to the streamer and they have no idea when the specific violation took place. This is something streamers need so they don't make the same mistake again. If the TOS and Community Violations are being clarified, the same should go for the reason why a streamer was banned.

A clearer understanding of the rules should come with a clearer understanding of when a violation occurred and will…

  16. First off I wanna thank RekItRaven for Shedding so much light on this issue that has been occurring for years. I have just started streaming 8 months ago and this is my 4th time this year getting hate raided. I’ve been called almost everything in the book. Now I have several ideas on how to make this better but for starters. You Need to obey the Blocked/Banned Order. Anyone who is Blocked Or Banned should not be able to Hate watch us thus risking another hate raid whether that be in the form of bullying or racism. 2. Have Better…

  17. With the new Nudity & NSFW content guidelines, it has made it very unclear to a lot of people in my community, the VRChat Roleplay community, whether or not furry models and/or avatars are under the same level of scrutiny as human avatars are.

On April 4, 2020, these rules were put into effect:

How do the new rules about AR Avatars impact my content if I stream a virtual reality sandbox game like VRChat?
    - Our policy on Augmented Reality avatars applies to content where cameras and software are used to capture a person’s physical likeness and translate it…

  18. Every game that is released is released with an ESRB rating determining its appropriateness for various audiences. Twitch already collects these ratings when they add new games to the platform.

Now streamers have the option to turn a "Mature" warning for their content, but rarely is a streamers content always Mature, or always all-ages-friendly.

Given that Twitch has this information, it would be a great help to many if depending on which category you are streaming to, it automatically enables or disables the Mature filter based on the ESRB rating of the game.

For non-gaming categories, some could easily be…

  19. The current banning system is hugely flawed due to trolls being able to hide behind a VPN and create hundreds of new accounts, it does literal nothing to protect streamers against a persistent troll.

Instead Twitch needs to have it so that anyone who uses their services agrees to the logging of their Device ID and and bans are logged against that Device and not the IP. This way troll maybe has 2/3 devices he/she can use but certainly not hundreds!

  20. it happens too much on this platform, streamers like sodapoppin directly insult viewers claiming his viewers are "retards and losers"
well, its not pleasant experience hearing those things and if someone is disabled in someway might even feel sad or depressed hearing it
