1. Report Transparency/Feedback

   I would love if the whole process of reporting someone came with a bit more transparency in regards to what then happens.

   When reporting a user today, you're left with the message "Thank you for your report", and that's it. From that point, you have no way of knowing what happens, and you never hear back from Twitch in regards to the outcome of your report.

   I would like to suggest that a bit of transparency is introduced to this process.
   If reports were treated like bug reports/feature suggestions, sending us an automated e-mail with a ticket-number attached, it would not only allow us to submit further proof/more info directly attached to that specific report to further expidite it, but it would also allow us to know if our report was handled and action was taken, or if our report was declined for one or more reasons.
   I know for obvious reasons, you can't always disclose how specific reports are handled, but giving us a degree of transparency in this process and allowing us to chip in on a specific report directly based on a ticket-number, could allow for a certain - and most likely not insignificant - amount of reports to get handled with higher accuracy than previous.

2. Introduction of a NSFW Category in Art

   I'm an active member of the artistic community on Twitch. Firstly, I want to express my appreciation for Twitch's ongoing commitment to providing a safe and respectful environment for all users.

   I would like to bring to the team's attention the possibility of a review of rules regarding NSFW content in the artistic context. I understand and respect the importance of keeping the platform suitable for all ages, but I would like to discuss the possibility of allowing NSFW drawings, as long as they are clearly labeled and limited to the artistic context.

   Art is a crucial means of expression, and many artists on the platform wish to explore more mature and artistic themes without violating the current rules. Introducing a separate category for NSFW art would ensure that this type of content is only accessible to consenting users, without affecting streamers in other categories.
   I would suggest the implementation of a filter or an option to automatically hide NSFW content in categories unrelated to art. This way, it would ensure the separation between NSFW artistic content and content from other categories.

   I have noticed that several members of the artistic community on Twitch share my perspective. Additionally, it's worth noting that there is another streaming platform, Picarto, dedicated solely to art, including NSFW art. Twitch, being the more prominent platform, could draw inspiration from Picarto, both in terms of rules and catering to a broader audience, potentially reducing competition.

   I appreciate the work done by the Twitch team in maintaining a safe and welcoming platform. I hope your consideration of this request contributes to a more flexible environment for artists without compromising the platform's integrity.

3. Let users see a list of channels they're banned from chatting in.

   I guess it would make sense to put this somewhere in the User's settings, but it would be convenient for a user to see a list of all channels that they're banned from chatting in. Channels can currently see all the users who are banned from chatting in their channel, but what about a list of channels that have banned the user from chatting in their chats. This would also make it easier to figure out which channels to speak to and try to get unbanned from.

4. Make a member Fee for DMCA

   If everyone who wanted to use recorded music paid a fee, like $10-$20 a month then there should be no issue with streaming copyrighted music. As a Dj i belong to "record pools" where we pay a fee every month to get music. Spotify charges you as well as apple and amazon music so what's the difference. I stream my dj sets for all my truck friends and the music is in the background while we watch videos. Im not making money and dont care to just using the chat and having fun, so for me id pay a respectable monthly fee to play whatever music i wanted

5. Dont allow bots from following channels

   After the bot attacks on twitch Vtuber channels in those days, i think it's necessary, NOW, a feature which block bots from following channels, the idea should be this : an unverified account gets blocked from the start to follow a channel if that account isnt verified, remember that to create a verified account it's necessary to doing a longer process so the bot buyer much necessarily taking more time and they will give up. Or something which work like that to fight bots.

6. Option to download the original unmuted version of a VOD

   Have an option to download and/or export the original unmuted version of the VOD, if the streamer wishes to export the unmuted version to YouTube or download the unmuted version to edit out the copyrighted music, so the streamer has an unmuted version for a highlight.

   Another potential option is to have the same thing, but make it a tool on the Twitch website (like where the past broadcasts are stored). As in, having the streamer edit out unmuted parts, but make it so they're not just separate VODS- have the choice to merge them together.

7. Creating a restriction for bots to fight spam

   There are people on Twitch, who have a program that allows bot spamming in chats. They buy accounts somewhere in the form of login:oauth:token and connect them to their program.
   They used to spam ads to promote themselves, now they do that to create conflicts between streamers or just to mess with streamers.

   It is possible to get an Oauth:token through the Twitch API request, using apps verified by Twitch.
   If I understood correctly from the developer's words, Twitch can get info about a token that sent the message.

   My way of dealing with people that spam is (или я бы сказала What do I suggest to deal with the problem is) to add a form to a channel settings in order to put there the names of users (bots), which can send messages in chat using oauth:token got by a 3rd party app.

   I think it'll be the most effective way to deal with spammers because in most cases the accounts used for spamming are stolen ones and users whose accounts were stolen wouldn't be happy to find out they were banned from some channels because someone was spamming from their accounts

8. Please fix the automated VOD muting

   The automated muting of VODs is unevenly applied and mutes too much.

   During a recent co-op stream, me and the other streamer both listened to a song that was posted in one of our chats. My VOD was muted for copyrighted music (which is fair, I'm not disputing that). However, there are two problems with this:

   1. My VOD was muted, but the other streamer was not, even though we listened to the >exact< same song.

   2. Way too much of my VOD was muted. The muted section of the VOD goes on for far longer than it actually played on the stream (and longer than the actual song itself is, too).

   If the muted sections were only when the identified content >actually played<, I'd have no problem with that. I could just cut up the highlights in parts, leaving out the muted section. Before I would do pretty much the same, but uploading my local recording instead to fix the VOD.

   Now my only recourse is to edit out the section from my local recording and re-stream the entire thing.

9. Raise the minimum streaming age to 18

   Twitch recently changed their content policy to allow more leniency around sexual content. Given the rampant child exploitation issues that have plagued Twitch for years, combined with the fact that Twitch allows children as young as 13 years old to stream on the platform, there is a serious concern that these changes could give child predators additional opportunities for harm.

   Particularly concerning is that Twitch has not clarified in its content policy that the new sexual guidelines (or the old ones, for that matter), apply only to adult users of the platform. For example, Twitch indicates that sexual themes such as "twerking, grinding, and pole dancing", content that deliberately highlights sexual body parts, body art, erotic dances, etc. are allowed. However, the policy DOES NOT state that this conduct is allowed for 18+ users only. How does Twitch plan to prevent underage users from participating in this conduct? Are there any measures in place to restrict streamers under the age of 18 from labeling their streams as 18+ and applying content labels?

   Twitch is a platform that not only boasts a substantial under 18 viewerbase but also allows children to livestream on the platform, the latter of which enabled child predators to target nearly 300,000 underage Twitch streamers in a 2 year span, as revealed in a Bloomberg expose on September 21, 2022.

   Given the substantial harm posed to children on live streaming platforms, I would like to petition Twitch to increase the minimum streaming age to 18 years old. This would essentially eradicate child predator activity on the platform and free up resources for Twitch Safety to focus on other dangers.

11. I hereby suggest easing account suspension measures related to bullying and harassment.

    Concerning the issue of malicious individuals using multiple accounts to target specific users in order to abuse the measures mentioned above and force their suspension, I think chat-related issues can usually managed within channel moderation grounds without any active involvement of Twitch, except for the cases in which severe violations occure.

    The current system imposes a 14-day suspension for repeated harassment towards others, which I consider excessive, for it can lead to mumerous mistaken suspensions. Additionally, avenues for appealing these suspensions are limited, raising concerns that users may leave Twitch if this issue persists.

    Many acquaintances have experienced mistaken suspensions, while those who maliciously and falsely reported them faced no penalties. While recognizing the necessity to address trolling behaviour, I hereby suggest leniency in penalties is a more practical approach than the strict enforcement of the aforementioned suspension measures and appeal process.

12. Disable Follow on a Channel when being Follow-botted

    Hello,

    Being follow-botted in a stream is not something that is pleasant when the streamer wants authentic following.

    When this happens, there is no way to stop it. Streamers wishing to remove these fake followers must manually remove them.

    This burden can be lightened if there would be a way in the Twitch channel / live settings to block the Follow feature for some time and unblock it later.

    This feature request will help streamers block these follow-bot attacks and help them retake control of their stream.

    First of all, y’all ban hard working streamers for accidentally opening a page on there stream that they have no control of what is gonna pop up. While y’all have this female streamer being almost fully nude on stream while there is little kids watching, and they get away with almost anything. But as soon as some hard working male streamers accidentally open a link against tos y’all ban them and don’t even send them a email of there suspension? Please make this make sense cause I’m speechless. I have no word to describe how disappointed I am with twitch.

15. Review the Creative TOS, Twitch

    In your own TOS you allow:
    Building construction sets (Lego, Erector sets, Mega Bloks, K'nex, Duplo, etc) or model kits (Warhammer, Gundam, and etc)

    You do not, however, allow:
    Toy assembly

    How do you know that the Gundams etc. Will not be used as toys once they are done? How can you be sure they will not be gifted to a family member and that they will use them as toys.

    Toy assembly should be allowed.

    You do not allow: Unboxing
    But yet many people do unboxing streams (primarly "big streamers")

    You do not allow: Playing puzzles
    But you allow Writing on the same directory.

    You allow: Construction, home building and renovation
    You do not allow: Assembling furniture or Decorating your house. Do these 2, fall under IRL then? If not, consider allowing those as they should fall under the same category as home building or renovation.

    You allow: Licensed Tattooing in a safe, professional environment
    You do not allow: Piercings. Why is that, if done in a safe, professional environment, it should be allowed. They usually do this at the tattoo parlor.

    You need to review your TOS regarding Creative. You also need to review your IRL TOS. And review your site as a whole. Because the above written "Rules" do not make sense.

    Please keep streams that are obviously deliberately sexually provocative out of just chatting.

    Like a stream I just saw with someone laying on their bed with their butt as the focus in skin tight legging and legs spread widely. They are not even facing the camera. And writing names on their butt for tips. It is ridiculous.

    I am sick of seeing these in Just Chatting. Either force them into a category or don't allow it.

    Here's a bunch of ideas of mine that should work if taken into consideration.

    As for when I was back on YouTube Gaming , YouTube would block the stream temporarily while copyrighted music is playing that didn't allow revenue ( adrev ) to be given to the holder - no strike is given unless it is video related like a movie/tv show.

    normally just shows like a little symbol saying. Hey this stream has been temporarily blocked due to copyright concerns, then after about 30 seconds the stream comes back after it finds out if the song holder can get ad revenue.

    As for Facebook Gaming as of recently allowing multiple big companies licensing there is a little warning on the dashboard when you can't play curtain song but no strike is given. They teamed up with multiple big companies like Sony Warner and some bigger companies

    I also personally feel a secondary Audio channel would help streamers as well , as long as it doesn't go into the actual VOD of the livestream sorta like how twitch soundtrack works. ( would be great especially on games that require the songs to play sorta like beat saber , just dance ext. - since that game has a lot of copyright ) - Two volume controllers since you never know how loud things will be.

    Spotify Integration? Make it so your audience can connect their Twitch up to Spotify sorta like how Discord has theirs. ( maybe even build it into the app )

    Any vods/clips before October 23rd 2020 ( since this is when normal DMCA takedowns started to happen ) this should be allowed to be removed without strikes since you guys said you would without any issues.

    One of my friends recently got a strike from a clip from 3 years ago even though this tweet happened saying - First, we will begin the work to extend our use of Audible Magic to identify existing clips that may contain copyrighted music and delete them for you without penalty. Over the coming months, this will cover newly created clips as well.

    Currently right now if you report a bunch of ban evading accounts , bot accounts you are limited to 50 accounts ( per 30 minutes/per day - it really depends ).

    My idea is to allow no limit on reports for partners affiliates and known accounts ( 90 days ). I feel with this sorta arrangement people will be more wanting to use it vs avoiding it.

    It would also be nice to be able to get back a message saying what account in question was removed/suspended/actioned on so we better clearly know what account. ( I do know that sharing information about how long the ban isn't a thing ).

    Another thing with reporting bots I would like to be able to upload a txt file with usernames or userid's. example of how that txt file should be formatted is 1 username per line ( 10MB max of txt - that's about 300k accounts ).

19. Flashing lights label for Content Labels

    I think there should be a 'flashing lights' label on the new Content Classification label system.
    It would be helpful for people with Epilepsy and light sensitivity.

20. Automated 'Mature-rated game' content classification labels should be possible to remove for fully family-friendly streams.

    With the new Content Classification system that has come into use today, replacing the mature content setting, there is one issue that I believe should be looked at.

    Fully family friendly streams who are playing limited aspects of a game (such as an MMO) should be able to toggle off the automated label, as the interstitial shown to viewers will discourage viewers who would otherwise be watching said family friendly content.

    For example, I stream the Elder Scrolls Online, which carries an ESRB rating purely for content in quests and dungeons. However, all I stream is housing tours, looking at creative housing builds and discussing how they are made. Under the new system, this is automatically given the 'mature-rated' tag, despite being entirely family friendly, and will likely have a direct impact on viewership.

    As there is a warning system in place for creators who misuse or incorrectly label their streams, could an option to remove automated labels be added, with a pop-up that reminds creators that 'If you fail to accurately label your stream, you will receive a warning via email'?
