How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  1. Hello!

I know this has been raised before and promised by both Emmett and Marcus but I would like to draw some perspective to the issue.

When a streamer receives automatic ban notification email they are given the following information. You were banned for one or more of these three reasons and this offence occurred on a Stream or VOD (aka somewhere).

As a broadcaster when looking to be compliant with all of Twitch's terms of service and receiving a ban it is hard to know what specifically needs to be changed because the notification email amounts to you vaguely…

  3. Twitch really needs to get better at responding to emails. My other account got suspended for being "a minor" I sent in an appeal and gave them my information and they said they updated my account but my account is still suspended. I've sent another email over 2 weeks ago and still no reply.

Twitch needs live support or just a better email system. Ignoring emails isn't helpful. It surprises me that a company as big as Twitch doesn't have live support and it can take 5+ days for them to respond to an email. There should be live chat…

  4. Hi,

Yesterday there was a great event hosted on The Nerd Council channel featuring different black streamers in the UK, celebrating Black Brilliance. I found out via email and it is so appreciated that I was notified. However, this was only notified on the day of the event. This has caused a lot of disparaging messages from those unaware and it made the chat very tough to engage in.

May I suggest that we can try to get notifications on these events prior the day, as this can help lower the issue of hate messages, so it can provide for…

  5. Users need to know when Mods have reported them, banned them (even by accident) or placed them on Shared ban info lists to be able to contests them and fight against abusive mods.

  6. I keep being in friends streams and random people come in and ask them do show their feet or the back of their mouth and they refuse to do it (as they should do) and then they say they will be banned if they don't. They still refuse and then their account get suspended! This is WRONG! How can an account be suspended because they refuse to do a challenge or dare? It is not safe and not fair!!!!

  7. I would like to see more transparency when it comes to accountability to larger streamers that have influence and impact on the community. Currently there have been streamers who get a very minor temporary ban more then 3 times while streamers who are on their first offense and have subjectively committed a lesser offence receive a more harsh punishment.

  8. i feel it would be better to follow up on reports made instead of just and acknowledgement (mostly speaking from a Vtuber point as a Vtuber )
many days the 3-4 of the top 10 spots will be non vtubers using facecam many of them have no history of using vtuber models making reports appear to do nothing so it might help to give a closure even if its we can't help

  10. As a safety feature, people who stream gambling content should include both (Regulated Casino and Country's Currency used to gamble) or (Unregulated Casino and Crypto-Currency) in the title of their stream so people know if the streamer is using Regulated or Unregulated sites so people who gamble in general and/or have a gambling addiction know what they are getting themselves into if they choose to sign-up to the gambling site that the streamer is playing on.

Reason I included people who have gambling addictions is because regulated sites have the feature for the gambler to self-exclude themselves from gambling but…

  11. The current email system has two steps first to acknowledge receipt of a report and second to acknowledge action of a report. The second part only actions on the first correct reporting of the indicated behaviour.

This poses a few problems. First when receiving an acknowledgement of a report which twitch has taken an action you do not have reference to which report it was associated with. This makes it difficult for the moderator/viewer to get a better understanding of what is a good report. The reporter already knows the name of the user they reported and the reason, perhaps…
