Protect streamers by preventing any access to channel for banned users This is not to take away from the improvements that have already been made, and are being implemented. The work that is being done is greatly appreciated.
However, further change is needed to better protect streamers for banned users. Merely preventing chatting is not enough to deter harassment, stalking, or intrusive bot behavior. Most people are aware that measures often can be circumvented, that is not an excuse for the lack of protection that currently exists.
Streamers need a way to completely cut off a user from content. I believe the proposed measures are reasonable, and will also provide protection…1,799 votesHello,
If you have tuned into Patch Notes today, you may already be aware (but in case you missed it) we're looking to implement more changes suggested here soon. We will follow up with an update & more details. Stay tuned.

Implement child-broadcasting PREVENTION measures. Adopting industry-standard child broadcasting PREVENTION measures
to deter preteens from mobile streaming on Twitch (& predators targeting them):✩ In short:
• Implement a 25-50 follower requirement for mobile broadcasting.
• Newcomer mobile-only adults can bypass this through ID-verification.
• Uniquely on Twitch (among other major livestreaming services),
underage users can presently pick up their phone, create an account and go live-streaming without restrictions – all in 2 minutes.
✩ In detail:
• 1. CONTEXT:
September 2022, Bloomberg report illustrates how Amazon's Twitch, uniquely so in contrast with competing broadcasting platforms,
leads the video-service industry in widescale child-livestreaming and consequent…1,574 votes -
IP Ban from channel IP Ban makes it possible to permanently ban a user with the same IP Address, thus not allowing them to crate other account to try and troll/spam, etc.
912 votesWe apply IP bans in Chat based on users' Moderation actions in certain cases. We don't currently plan to publicize the logic we use because we think it would make it easier for bad actors to bypass the restriction.

Recourse for old suspensions and new features Since affiliate follow-emotes have come live, I've noticed several streamers are unable to use the new features due to suspensions 3 or 5 or more years old. So much so that some streamers can't even recall being suspended, or the reason for suspension, while maintaining a spotless record since then while consistently streaming for years, maintaining long term subscriptions and teams.
Despite otherwise fulfilling all the requirements for "Instant Upload Eligibility Requirements", they remain locked out of these new features, taunted by a link reading "find out how to regain access", with no further support, as they already meet said…

Regex filters and whitelist rules Given the widespread use of hostile bots on Twitch right now by bad actors, particularly those targeting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, it would be great if we could have a RegEx pattern block/ban/follow restriction option. A number of the accounts being spun up for the purpose of harassing and stealing the identities of streamers have consistent name patterns, and being able to issue a regex block/ban on those patterns would be useful.
This sort of feature would obviously be something that streamers would have to use at their own risk. Overly inclusive block/ban patterns could potentially limit legitimate viewers. But…

Updates on Twitch Safety Support This is directly copied from the proposal update from Jambo, which states as follows:
"Twitch Safety Support - Update Proposal by Jambo
UPDATED REPORTING TOOL
Twitch’s reporting tool is outdated, and needs to be revamped. The biggest suggestion for this is to have a lesser detailed reporting still available on profiles but provide a link to something similar to submitting a ticket, but will allow the user to submit images as well as links (currently images cannot be uploaded with a report) be marked ‘high priority.’HAVE A DIRECT CONTACT EMAIL ADDRESS FOR PARTNERS
Along with an updated reporting tool,…

Undelete/restore As you might have expereinced, when chat is moving fast but someone needs a message deleted or timedout/banned mods can sometimes missclick due to the fast moving chat, now while we do have the pause chat option this can still happen due to a flinch or a nudge from a pet or someone else, what I am suggesting is an undelete/restore function within the chat for mods.
If someone was banned by accident or timedout all their messages are purged, but how about when you undo the mistken action you have the option to restore that persons messages within the…

Let users see a list of channels they're banned from chatting in. I guess it would make sense to put this somewhere in the User's settings, but it would be convenient for a user to see a list of all channels that they're banned from chatting in. Channels can currently see all the users who are banned from chatting in their channel, but what about a list of channels that have banned the user from chatting in their chats. This would also make it easier to figure out which channels to speak to and try to get unbanned from.

Add new filters for creating usernames to deter the creation of accounts used for trolling/harassment purposes In light of recent events in which two individuals have been harassing and cyberstalking a number of Twitch streamers, myself included, it would be helpful to filter out alternative forms of profanity along with formats of phone numbers.
Specifically, I suggest the following be filtered/prohibited in username creation:
- bltch (with an "L" instead of an "i")
- wh0re (with a "0" instead of an "o")
- ########## (the typical format of including phone numbers in a username)
All three of these techniques have been used by internet trolls when creating multiple accounts to harass streamers and post their personal information.…

Allow channel ban to trigger ignore/block for streamer While I can understand the rationale behind channel chat and whispers being treated separately, the fact is that users who are banned for inappropriate behavior often follow up by harassing the streamer directly through whispers. Here is a potential workflow I can think of:
Whenever a mod bans a user from a streamer’s channel, it triggers some kind of message/notification to the streamer that a user has been banned and asks if the streamer would also like to block/ignore. Additionally, there can be an option for the streamer to auto-block in these instances where mods are trusted and there may…

Hard block for users with too many "active" bans. I would love to see Twitch implement a feature that allows Streamers to set up a hard block for users with XX (configurable by streamer) amount of currently active bans.
This feature alone would greatly reduce the serial trollers that do nothing but jump from stream to stream trolling and getting banned.
It would also be great to have a feature that allows Mods and Streamers alike to see how many active bans a viewer has.
Thank you for your consideration.

Content/trigger warning system like the tag system I'd really love to have a content warning system similar to the tag system. It would auto-populate based on the current game or let streamers add warnings for Just Chatting or Talkshow streams. I'd prefer the system to be more opt-in than a popup every time you enter a stream. It would have a button near the category and tags part of the UI that reveals relevant warnings. It would be super nice if it could be user configurable to display a pop up only if a user navigates to a stream that contains a warning they've chosen to be…

Prevent Banned Users from Joining Raids Block users banned from a channel from joining a raid from the channel the users are banned from to the raided channel, and also not notifying the banned users the name of the raid target channel (specifically the notification appearing on the top of the chat when the raid is about to happen).
As with a raid, the raiding streamer will be in the chat of the raided channel, and the raiding and raided channels usually have related communities, malicious users can use this opportunity to continue harassing the streamer or spreading damage to related communities, despite being banned from…

Add better Age Verification system The current system on Twitch where you have Mature Audience setting, you really need to add a better Age Verification system than a button to confirm you are of age. To me this is lazy age verification, you need to have actual age verification before being allowed to watch streams that are marked for Mature Audience. It's such a simple process where you can confirm your age once with a third-party entity that can verify your actual age with official documents, so no documents are handled by Twitch directly, thus keeping the security and confidentiality of it's users sensitive information.

A More Detailed Description of a TOS Violation for suspended/banned streamers. When a streamer is suspended or banned, that streamer has no idea what the actual violation was and when it took place.
The violation is too vague and doesn't offer any specific details to the streamer and they have no idea when the specific violation took place. This is something streamers need so they don't make the same mistake again. If the TOS and Community Violations are being clarified, the same should go for the reason why a streamer was banned.
A clearer understanding of the rules should come with a clearer understanding of when a violation occurred and will…

Automatically Enable the Mature Filter depending on Game/Category Rating Every game that is released is released with an ESRB rating determining its appropriateness for various audiences. Twitch already collects these ratings when they add new games to the platform.
Now streamers have the option to turn a "Mature" warning for their content, but rarely is a streamers content always Mature, or always all-ages-friendly.
Given that Twitch has this information, it would be a great help to many if depending on which category you are streaming to, it automatically enables or disables the Mature filter based on the ESRB rating of the game.
For non-gaming categories, some could easily be…

DEVICE BASED Twitch Bans (not IP based) The current banning system is hugely flawed due to trolls being able to hide behind a VPN and create hundreds of new accounts, it does literal nothing to protect streamers against a persistent troll.
Instead Twitch needs to have it so that anyone who uses their services agrees to the logging of their Device ID and and bans are logged against that Device and not the IP. This way troll maybe has 2/3 devices he/she can use but certainly not hundreds!

Make it Easier to Avoid Harrassment There needs to be a way to completely ban a user from entering your channel and seeing your profile/streams. There's been a Twitch partner that's been straight up stalking me and they do nothing about it. The most I can do is ban him from the chat. It doesn't stop him from showing up when I stream (which makes me feel extremely uncomfortable), or when I'm hosting someone.

Profile picture not shown until approved by twitch There needs to be a change with in twitch as there has been multiple profiles with problematic pictures that are grounds for banned. There needs to be a implementing of a non-approved stage for profile pictures followed by a approved stage so that way we don't have problematic grounds when someone's profile picture shows up in someone's stream during a game or such ex being marbles. Because this brings up problems for the streamer were we have to take even more steps to avoid being flagged or banned for something we ourselves didn't display. This includes but not limited to…

Add Authy Badge and "Authenticated Users Only" Here's a catch of the Followers-Only mode that is bad: A spambot can follow anyone at any time and never talk anything. By the point someone turns on Followers-Only mode the bot has followed long enough to be allowed to taint the chat with spam.
And here's the solution:
Authy Badge: this would be a better "Verified Badge" than the Verified Badge, because it would confirm that the person activated 2FA, which typically involves having a phone, which typically means bots have a harder time verified themselves as a legitimate user and the Verified Badge is nothing more than "this…15 votes
