  1. A lot of streamers deal with streamsnipers. Especially people that play shooters. It will be a lot easier to get rid of the streamsnipers if they cant watch your stream anymore once they get banned from your channel. Nowadays you can still watch the stream when you are banned, you just cant type in the chat anymore. This has to change!

  2. I would love a global moderator role for twitch teams (that the twitch team leader could assign), so they can work or moderate in any of the team members chats.

  3. Given the widespread use of hostile bots on Twitch right now by bad actors, particularly those targeting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, it would be great if we could have a RegEx pattern block/ban/follow restriction option. A number of the accounts being spun up for the purpose of harassing and stealing the identities of streamers have consistent name patterns, and being able to issue a regex block/ban on those patterns would be useful.

This sort of feature would obviously be something that streamers would have to use at their own risk. Overly inclusive block/ban patterns could potentially limit legitimate viewers. But…

  4. When a streamer is suspended or banned, that streamer has no idea what the actual violation was and when it took place.

The violation is too vague and doesn't offer any specific details to the streamer and they have no idea when the specific violation took place. This is something streamers need so they don't make the same mistake again. If the TOS and Community Violations are being clarified, the same should go for the reason why a streamer was banned.

A clearer understanding of the rules should come with a clearer understanding of when a violation occurred and will…

  5. Or give streamers and mods an option to just ban someone from chat, or ban them from watching the stream completely.

This would be beneficial for multiple reasons, for example it would help battle stream sniping, instances of stalking, harrassment, etc.

this has been voiced on twitter many times, time for it to be voiced here too

  6. The Twitch Rule enforcement system needs to be updated. The hardline enforcement is incompatible with the "per-case" approach when it comes to users being reported on the platform.

I believe that the system in its current state makes it too easy for bad actors to abuse the reporting system and use it as a means to remove streamers for violations that didn't happen, and I also believe that it makes it harder for streamers to defend the violations (via appeals), as when a streamer is suspended/banned they cannot review their VODs to see if or even when a violation took…

  7. I'd really love to have a content warning system similar to the tag system. It would auto-populate based on the current game or let streamers add warnings for Just Chatting or Talkshow streams. I'd prefer the system to be more opt-in than a popup every time you enter a stream. It would have a button near the category and tags part of the UI that reveals relevant warnings. It would be super nice if it could be user configurable to display a pop up only if a user navigates to a stream that contains a warning they've chosen to be…

  8. There should be an option on Twitch to report moderators that are going on power trips and abusing their power. There are some viewers on Twitch who are getting wrongfully and unfairly banned from chats, or are getting sent derogatory messages from a moderator after sending an unban request. If a mod abuses their status as a moderator, then there should be some sort of form that allows viewers who have been unfairly banned and even been picked on by certain mods to send a complaint to have the specific mod in question investigated, even if they don't actually know…

  10. It's great that you have a "mature content" label as an option, but any kid can still simply click through that, they don't even need an account. Many creators that I watch simply don't want kids in their streams for various reasons.

Make it so that creators can also require a login for the video stream of their channel to show up. Maybe when you click into the full stream it gives you an alert that you need to login.

  11. I started checking out lower viewer count streamers and noticed a trend of groups of people targeting new streamers with fake donation messages.

e.g. Username: has donated $1500.00! :TwitchVotes:

They use the TwitchVotes emote to make the message to make it look legitimate, as it's a Twitch icon with a checkmark. They use these donations to pressure people into doing things, everything from small pranks, to more dangerous stuff, to more sexual requests. It's surprisingly effective, as a lot of these people are non-technical or new to streaming, and feel pressured into doing these dares. I've reported these users, but…

  12. please allow streamers to turn off the host option.
we can block raids, but we cannot stop channels from hosting us, which is now being exploited and bad actors (some evading bans) are now hosting accounts with a malicious intent.,

    in addition to this
i would also like to have the option to ONLY ENABLE HOSTS/ AND RAIDS FROM USERS WHO HAVE PHONE NUMBERS VERIFICATION added to their accounts

  13. Those who make a purchase (e.g. bits, subscriptions, etc.) should be treated as phone-verified. I only use a VoIP phone number, so I can't phone verify. But I do have an Amazon Prime subscription, so I can get 1 free Twitch subscription every month. My payment information is on file, so if I end up being a creepy stalker guy, you can easily trace me through the credit card, right? That should be good enough to stave off trolls. Let me be treated as Stage 2 Verified (stage 1 only requires an email address) if I either have my payment…

  14. Just an idea that the person who is banned from a channel should be informed of who banned them from the channel (broadcaster or moderator of the channel) and the reason included (if a reason was given).

This shouldn't just be for the mods and broadcaster of the channel. This wouldn't be shown to those who aren't banned from the channel unless they're also banned from the same channel.

    "<User 1>, <User 2>, etc. are banned from <channel name> by <broadcaster/mod's name> because of <applicable reasons>"

This would help the person understand why they're banned and if it was an…

  15. Many streamers does timeout on mods as joke or redeem by channel points.

But is a hassle to have to put it back mod and editor on some of them.

Would be better to have an option to the mod/editor role to be not removed on timeout, and act like the vips who can be timmed out without losing the role.

  16. Recently, a streamer I follow had a few of their emotes removed without warning, some of their most popular emotes. Twitch Support couldn't give them a straight answer as to why. These emotes were approved by Twitch staff since they didn't have instant emote approval when they were made, but they got removed after months and months AND the streamer's instant approval privileges got revoked. They just got the email saying their emotes were removed. They were deemed "sexual," (even though they aren't sexual, and there are much worse emotes out there), and they couldn't challenge the moderation - emailing…

  17. Why won't you enable human authentication???????????

Such as, "Select all photos that are showing traffic lights..." etc...
Twitch bots are ruining your platform.
Honestly its not that hard to get rid of them. Your monitoring/authentication process is atrocious. It wouldn't surprise me if Twitch was supporting these botting sites and allowing BOTS for more ad revenue/publicity and numbers.
Embedded and fake views should not count.

It's not that hard to get a server, run some simple python commands that create accounts in the thousands. Then let them chat, and even mimic other user's input to make them seem authentic.

    Force…

  18. Hi Twitch,

What about a badge for all these users who have been banned from a lot of channels ?
It would warn the other streamers and viewers about their level of toxicity when they appear in a chat.

I have already vote for this kind of suggestions but I would highly ask for the possibility to forbid totally the channel to a toxic viewer. It is unsafe to know that they still have access to the live.

    Thank you

  19. Personally I do not like that we have to use the same reporting process to follow through with reporting a bot incident in one's own stream. There have been multiple cases of accounts being mistakenly banned on Twitch's end, this reporting process only encourages that to repeat itself.

I believe we should get a new bot reporting process that is separate from the regular reporting process as to avoid any complications that could result in unjust bans of streamers trying to help the whole community.

  20. A quick tool to add blurr to selected sections of a VOD. Currently we have to download the entire vod, edit in 3rd party software and then upload again.
Unpublishing the video removes it from recent streams for viewers that missed it.

If we had an option to blue selected portions of the video in the editor that add security options to streamers.

I'm editing a 3 hour VOD just to blue out 30 seconds of a screen that shows my address...
