DEVICE BASED Twitch Bans (not IP based)
The current banning system is hugely flawed due to trolls being able to hide behind a VPN and create hundreds of new accounts, it does literal nothing to protect streamers against a persistent troll.
Instead Twitch needs to have it so that anyone who uses their services agrees to the logging of their Device ID and and bans are logged against that Device and not the IP. This way troll maybe has 2/3 devices he/she can use but certainly not hundreds!

Any reason why with 2026 technology that this is not in place yet?! A far better use of 2026 technology rather than using AI as Twitch Support...

Device-based bans on Twitch are a more advanced enforcement method where the platform restricts access by identifying a user’s specific device rather than just their IP address. Unlike IP bans—which can be bypassed using VPNs or changing networks https://xitff.com.br/—device bans rely on unique identifiers such as hardware fingerprints, browser configurations, or app-level data to prevent repeat offenders from creating new accounts on the same device.

Completely, banning people based off an IP that is definitely being hidden behind a VPN. This should be device based, or at least the option between IP and device.

I 100% agree^ twitch need to actually do something about this as it’s ridiculous how someone so toxic can hide behind a free VPN
