  1. Watch Series with Viewers (Prime Viewers only)

    Do you know that feeling as a Streamer when u want to chill and relax and just want to watch some TV series with your viewers? But you can't, because it's against the twitch rules?

    So some time ago Twitch and Amazon Prime got so much intertwined, that it would be possible to do exactly thesw chill-series-streams some streamers want.

    The TV-series streams would be only visible for prime users and when a streamer switchs to this kind of stream, the non-prime users will get a screen where it says, that they can't watch the stream and need to purchase twitch prime (So THAT would be nice for Twitch too).

    I would looove to see this feature in the furure, because there is nothing better than watching series together with friends/viewers/other ppl.

    Sincerely, Jona

  2. Improved Editor Role

    A channel editor is probably the biggest role any streamer can give a person, but the channel editor can't do as much as they should be allowed to do. A channel editor should be able to do more than just create highlights, run commercials,etc. When a person is promoted to a channel editor, that means the streamer gives them their ultimate trust. So what should an editor be able to do, but can't at this current time? Here are some ideas:

    • Moderate the moderators | Just as any other broadcaster can, a channel editor should be allowed to purge/timeout/ban moderators who are not channel editors. They should also in turn, be able to add/remove moderators. There may be cases where chat gets out of hand with not only the viewers but also some moderators, instead of the broadcaster having to deal with it, the channel editor should be able to so that the broadcaster can continue with his/her stream and not have to worry about chat drama.

    • Edit panels | There are times where streamers want to edit their panels, but either don't have the time to or don't know how to do something in particular. A channel editor should be able to edit the panels the way the broadcaster wants. Maybe there was typo a that looks unprofessional or an outdated piece of information that needs fixing.

    • Submit artwork for partnered streamers | A new emote slot opens up for a partnered streamer, and maybe the streamer isn't in a position to submit a new emote. Why not allow the channel editor to do so for the streamer? That way the new emote comes in right away instead of having to have people wait for a new emote.

    There are other things that could be added to. Along side with this, an editor should have a badge of recognition. That way people know they aren't an ordinary mod.

  3. Let emotes artists use the emotes they draw for partnered streamers for free

    It would be awesome if Twitch allowed artists who design emotes for partnered streamers use them for free!

    A suggestion is for Twitch to create the option for partnered streamers to specify which artist(s) created their emotes when they upload them which would then allow the artist to use those emotes on Twitch.

    Benefits to this is that it would provide more exposure to both the streamer and the artist. The artist would get more promotion through sharing their created emotes on Twitch. Fans of the artist who enjoy their art style would be able to see which emotes the artist has created and which stream they're from. As a result, this would bring more exposure to the streamer, leading to more subs!

    I feel that Twitch artists, though they contribute so much to the streamer communities, often receive little recognition for their hard work since they work behind-the-scenes. It'd be nice if Twitch implemented this feature to show their support for their artists!

  4. Add a "Charity" button to Twitch. Put an end to charity fraud.

    Charity streams and fundraisers in which viewers are induced to Subscribe to a channel, or send a lump-sum payment directly to a Broadcaster's PayPal, unnecessarily expose streamers to liability and viewers to fraud. This practice is for the most part largely unregulated on Twitch. If Twitch is not going to moderate this practice, then I implore them to create alternative, legitimate tools for Broadcasters who wish to raise money for charity.

    My suggestion is to introduce a "Charity" button similar to the "Subscribe" button, with all money going directly to a designated registered charity. This could be a page hosted on Twitch similar to the Subscription page, or a direct link to an official DonorDrive page for the registered charity. Ideally, it would be possible for this process to hook into the Twitch API in some way, so that streaming tools could be written that track viewer contributions in the same way that they already do for Subscriptions.

    There are many reasons why such a tool would be of benefit to Twitch, its community and charities. I feel that it would also quash potential fraud and further legitimize Twitch as a platform for charitable causes in gaming.

    I posted this suggestion on the r/Twitch and you can read some of the existing feedback here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/4e12i4

  5. Everyone, followers only, subs only options for past broadcasts, highlights and uploads

    The title says it all. It would be useful to have the option to choose who exactly can watch past broadcasts, as well as highlights and uploads. I believe some affiliates and partners offer special videos that are made specificaly for their subscribers. Unfortunately, this can only be done by restricting the access to the entire VOD librairy.

    Example: I don't want my highlights or my past broadcasts to be restricted just for the purpose of allowing my subs to get exclusive content from the uploading option. But if I would like to make that restriction I would like to be able to choose who exactly can watch those VODs.

    Past Broadcasts ---> Everyone
    Highlights ---> Followers Only
    Uploads ---> Subscribers Only
    Clips ---> Everyone

    Right now, no one can watch anything that is not live on my channel, unless they are subs. In my opinion, past broadcast is a very useful way to get known or to give a good idea of who you are to those who can't watch your content when you're live. And there are plenty other reasons why someone would like to have these options available to them.

  6. A library of approved emotes / don't delete emotes when changing.

    Lovingly lifted from the comments section of: https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/7x9vrv/pleaseletuschangeemoteswithoutdeleting_the/

    Two things -

    1. Deleting of emotes when want to change them is a pain. It means subscribers lose one of the (few) benefits that are given to them at the affiliate level. It's just that the approval process takes so long, that not being able to use anything while waiting for approval stinks.

    2. I think it would be great if we could have a library of previously approved emotes, so we can swap them out for holidays, etc. If you want to keep it to 3 active emotes for affiliates, that's all fine and good - even limit how often we can swap the emote (a cooldown, so to speak). It's nice to have holiday options, etc.

  7. Allow partnered streamers to keep sub points

    Sub points should be accumulated & not get expired along with expired subs as it helps streamers to unlock emote slots quicker. And with more emotes available, potential subscribers would be more enticed to sub or continue their subscription.

    Looking at "expired" sub points on our partnered dashboard not only demoralized streamers before the start of each stream, we'd get less interested to help promote subscription to our viewers & would encourage direct donation instead.

    My current subpoints which unlocked 24 emotes is now at 366/1,000 because 600+ gifted subs expired this month. I don't see how I could get my next 25th emote slot unlocked if Twitch doesn't allow partnered streamers to keep the subpoints earned fairly & paid for from viewers.

    Let us keep our hard-earned subpoints so we can grow Twitch together!

  11. Notifications for Affiliate payout period after reaching threshold

    Could there be an implementation of notifications when threshold of $100 is reached to allow Twitch Affiliates the ability to see when / around when they would receive their sub and bit money made?

  12. Add Sub to Streamer's Bot

    I would love to have my chat bot be able to show some emote love when a person subscribes. However, right now it seems I would need to sub to myself as my bot. It would be great if at least one bot can have a free sub like how the Affiliated streamer receive one sub.

  13. No affiliate for those who stream private servers

    Twitch needs to investigate the games that their affiliate requests are playing before handing out Affiliates. There are people who stream private servers who are getting affiliate status when they are in fact breaking Twitch rules!

    It is written in Twitch's community guidelines that "Unauthorized Content Sharing & Other Copyright Violations
    Uploading any content that you do not own, do not have the rights to, or are otherwise not authorized to use, violates our Terms of Service and may make your account liable to DMCA takedowns by third-party rights holders. We do not tolerate, for example: rebroadcasting other Twitch broadcasters’ content, playing pirated games, showing third-party movies and television shows, rebroadcasting a sports match, playing on UNAUTHORIZED PRIVATE SERVERS, or uploading content from other sites without permission of the copyright owner."

    Do not let Private server streamers get affiliate status.

  14. Make the sub gift badges permanent.

    If you gift 100 subs and they run out, your badge disappears forever unless you gift a sub every month. But if you gift 1 bit, in 5 years you will still have that (ugly) bit badge. That sounds unfair to me. Make the sub gift badges permanent, or make it so that it will stay 1 month for every sub gifted (so for 10 gifted subs get the 10 gift subs badge and keep it for 10 months).

  15. Option to pick the timezone used in event creation

    It would be great if when creating an event you can input the timezone as well from a drop-down menu.
    Currently, it is locked to the local time zone of the person creating the event.

    This would be helpful for streamers who use a different timezone for scheduling and for editors who do not live in the same timezone as the streamer.

    Thank you.

  16. New viewer count algorithms are questionable and only allow two simultaneous streams

    I have recently tested your new viewer count algorithms and have found results that point to two simultaneous streams are allowed only... not a 'handful'(?) as you stated on twitter?
    I believe this will make things impossible for the smaller streamers and hurt Twitch a little bit too in the long run.

    The smaller streamers are basically the collateral damage in this as most streamers on twitch have a slow moving all important chat until they get into the 100s of viewers. Most of the viewers that do stay behind will usually have multiple streams open as their main, whilst they come by to say hi and see what's up every now and then. These are usually the early base of viewers that increase their viewer count to somewhat respectable for them to be noticed by more and more people and THAT is when their personality and charisma can come into play to get the snowball of rolling. By limiting these streamers to the 'two streams on max or their views won't count' law, the little guys basically have this taken away and it leaves practically only one option for them to realize their dreams: a once in a lifetime occurence causing them to go viral and blow up. A hard task has only become harder.

    These new algorithms also don't take into account the fact that these days alot of people simply do not have a high attention span and seeing as the nature of streaming is more comparable to a 5 course dinner instead of quick fast food (Youtube), viewers are bound to be inclined to have multiple streams open simultaneously, and usually more than the two that are allowed nowadays.

    In the long run I feel Twitch could discourage a large amount of streamers with this viewer count system and could lose promising streamers who will never realize their potential and who will never be discovered because of the new viewer count algorithms? If need be, at least make the competition fair by correcting the codes and make the rule affect everyone on twitch because I have come upon quite a few irregularities during testing. But ideally, a midway compromise could be adjusting the algorithms to 5 tabs, which seems more in line with the honest lurkers' viewing behavior on Twitch.

    Thank you for your time and again, I hope Twitch will review their decision and at least leave a little bit more breathing space for the smaller streamer to grow.

  17. Allow the VIP badge's image to be customizable (like the sub badge)

    Instead of the default icon for a VIP badge, allow me to upload an image for my users' VIP badge to show. For instance I give VIP badges to people who have won tournaments that I've broadcast on my channel. I'd like to make the VIP badge icon be a trophy.

  18. Raid & Host Viewer Opt Out Setting

    The new /raid feature is great for channel networking as hosting has always been, but both can be problematic for many viewers. It would be convenient for the User Settings page to be updated with a set of opt out settings for both raids and hosts. If a user opts out of raids, they will be considered to automatically click "Leave" at the end of any raid countdown timer. If they opt out of hosts, hosted channels will not load unless the viewer intentionally presses the "Play" button.

    Raids and Hosting present problems for:

    1) Temporarily AFK viewers during the stream's end
    2) Viewers multitasking during the stream's end (especially playing a game). A raid porting someone from one channel to another can suddenly change audio or bitrate settings, or even alt-tab viewers out of some games.
    3) Viewers with data limits who only budget data to watch one channel can be surprised when forced to join other channels and continue to consume data

    Thanks!

  19. Preserve Pause & Volume/Mute Settings When Hosting

    If you have a stream paused or muted and a new channel is hosted, existing pause & mute settings are ignored after the host. If you leave a page up during the day or evening this can cause sound to suddenly start blasting from your speakers without warning. Please don't AutoPlay hosted channels if the open Twitch page has video paused, and please preserve mute settings.

    Better yet, add an option in our user settings to auto-pause/mute hosted channels so viewers can manually opt-in to watching a hosted channel.

  20. Notifications for all events by a particular streamer

    I'd love to see a way to turn on Notifications for all events a streamer creates. This would be helpful for streams I always want to watch, but don’t want to add each event separately. Maybe also a way to turn on notifications for specific games from a particular streamer as well.
