Add a setting to disable auto-joining a raid.
I think a user-profile option to disable automatic joining of a raid would be a useful feature. Some channels have various reasons or incentives to staying in offline chat and sometimes you can't catch the whole stream and can't opt-out of the raid.

Wow, raids have changed SO much since 2017.
But you still get auto-joined in raids. Fortunately, with third-party tools, you can prevent that from happening.Zach || Subscribe to my Streamer Newsletter https://tos.gg/s

This twitch feature was made by twitch employees that are under paid and also have no brain.

auto raids suck, lots of people fall asleep while watching streams, and different streamers have different audio settings and just all around different noise-making levels ...

At the very least, if we have a streamer BLOCKED, we should not be forced to auto-join a raid into their stream. This is part of safety, not making additional trouble, and preventing recurring trauma. I frequently find that a streamer has raided a certain other streamer that I have blocked, and of course they have banned me for maximum spite, so I have to face that repeatedly on a regular basis. No, I am not about to patch things up with them, and I don't see that as a possibility. I want them out of my life.

Its honestly the most annoying part of twitch. I don't care to watch anyone that I personally dont CLICK ON.

Yes please, I want the option to not be apart of raids into channels that I can't chat in such as sub-only, follower-only channels or channels that I've blocked.

I propose that this added setting should have three states:
1) Auto-join all raids
2) Join raids only for channels I follow
3) Don't auto-join any raids -

As everyone else has said, we are loyal to out favorite streamers. We want to check out other streamers too, and really like the raiding feature, but only when we are present for it. Otherwise, it is not only annoying to come back to or wake up to some idiot being loud and obnoxious, but also a colossal waste of bandwidth. I try to avoid this by pausing the stream when I walk away, but when I come back and a raid has happened, to my surprise the next stream auto-plays. What? If the stream I actually wanted to be on was paused, the raided one, at the very least, should also be paused.
Honestly, this is my boorish demand. Fix this or I'll abuse client side JS. Add three options:
1. Automatically participate in all raids,
2. Automatically participate in raids only to channels that I follow,
3. Never automatically join raids. -

Adding my vote for this no-brainer option. There are some channels I just do not want to be raided to, period.

No Shocker Twitch doesn't care about consent.

Not implementing this is akin to declaring you don't believe in consent.
Which would add up for you twitch, but seriously, implement this already

make this possible, i hate beeing forced to join a channel, 1min to leave isnt enough, we need a default option to disable it

How is this not a thing? We should be able to enable or disable auto joining raids

Until the feature is added, we could always boycott anyone who sponsors or runs an ad on a channel we're dumped into via raid, and make sure to tell those advertisers exactly why...

Is this still not a thing? I so want to sleep on stream, because a ton of them are interesting but sometimes too late for me, but the channels theey raid aren't always of videos or streamers that you can sleep to...
@Twitch, implement this already ffs -

I tried FFZ, but this extension is too dirty.
It automatically change way too many behaviors and unnecessary features. Configure pages are also really messy that I don't know how to make sure FFZ only prevent auto-raid without messing up with any other things.I still think Twitch needs to add a setting to disable auto-raid.

With FrankerFaceZ extension you can disable auto joining raids

Really? There shouldn't be any question about this. Opting out should be the default, not a nonexistent option.
