  1. Stream Teams used to be a cornerstone of Twitch and worked like small networks or guilds. Back when hosting was a feature you could set your team to be auto-hosted which gave mutual support to anyone on your team automatically. When that was removed Stream Teams atrophied and are now a nearly worthless feature.

I'd like to bring Stream Teams back into the spotlight and hopefully save this feature and improve it for everyone. As such, here are a list of potential improvements and reworks that may get it back on track.

If you've never heard of a Stream Team…

  2. So first things first:
No one has ever believed your reasoning provided for deprecated hosting. When looked into at all - at least anecdotally, with every person I've ever interacted with who's used the platform (and I have no reason to believe my selection is limiting that reach,) the reasoning has never tracked. If the suspicions we've had are accurate, then now that streams do not auto-play when embedded would eliminate the reason for why hosting was deprecated.

Hosting was a significantly better community-building tool than raids. Tremendously so. It's more user-friendly on the one doing the hosting (not requiring…

  3. Under Creator Goals can we please select "Reach Partner Point Goal"? My community wants to make sure I'm at at least 350 Partner Plus points every month so I can remain qualified for that program. It would be wonderful if we could have that as a Goal that can be visibly seen and tracked on the channel.

  4. The moments tool is one of the best that Twitch has created for low-cost loyalty in recent years. Unfortunately, the tool, in addition to being little publicized, was not made available to many people. I ask you to reconsider putting an end to it, I am the moderator and editor of a channel that has faithfully used them for almost 2 years(Kett), and a viewer of robcdee, who also uses it frequently. They are successful and many people collect them, bringing the loyalty that this platform seeks so much. I'm sure that with more publicity and availability, people will use…

  5. Currently, streamers need to maintain 350 individual paid subscriptions to qualify Partner Plus Program. However, I propose considering recurring sub-points as part of the qualification criteria. This change would make it simpler for streamers to meet the requirements while promoting growth and sustainability.

Here's how it works: Recurring sub-points measure the loyalty of viewers who consistently subscribe at higher tiers. By including these recurring sub-points in the qualification criteria, streamers can focus on building strong relationships with their existing viewers and encouraging them to subscribe at higher tiers. This helps streamers achieve their goals and leads to more engagement and…

  6. Audio Channels:

Add and allow different audio channels on a stream to be muted or change their volume so people can change to their liking.
This would allow streams with background music to be adjusted on the fly, or if you just want to hear the streamer and nothing else you could mute music + gameplay to only hear the talk, or maybe you want to silence the alerts because you find them annoying.

With this, more content creators would be able to stream the way they like, while also allowing customization for the watching party to fit their liking.

  7. In the Dashboard, allow us to enable and disable Sub Gifting or Multi-Sub Gift Bombs in our channel.

This has many uses, and I'd love to hear what others would use this for as well (more feedback the better).

    • Moves support focus towards Bits/Cheering instead of Gifted Subs (especially with Hype Chat functions moving to Bits/Cheering)
    • Prevents people missing out on being able to sub themselves because they got a gift in a gift sub bomb
    • Disincentives people from 'never subscribing' because they "always get gifted anyways"
    • Could be used by those pushing for Partner Plus,…

  8. Browsing Twitch is incredibly difficult due to the lack of personality shown in titles and randomly generated thumbnails. Titles only allow so many characters in the preview and auto-generated thumbnails don't tell any sort of story about a streamer.

I believe with custom thumbnails, it'd give streamers the opportunity to showcase their content at a glance.

When we think of custom thumbnails, I believe we all think clickbaity YouTube videos, and that's a real concern we may have for custom thumbnails. But I believe Twitch users browse differently than YouTube.

On Twitch, we are looking for a very specific type…

  9. Cozy games are often indie projects and rarely get popular to the point that people are manually searching for them on twitch. I suggest we get a Cozy Gaming category so everyone can browse for cozy streams. Cozy gaming is a niche sector women and lgbtq+ people had to carve out for themselves in the industry and I hope with time it will bring more people in ❤🥺 As of right now, it's hard to find cozy streamers on twitch. I find most of them on tiktok because the algorithm makes it easier for me. I know we can have…

  10. National Arab Heritage month typically takes place in the US during April. This is a request to feature not just your Arab streamers but your Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) streamers and highlight the diversity that exists on the platform. We celebrate many heritage months and minorities on this platform, why not this one? Would love to see diverse creators on front page in celebration.

Last year Twitch dedicated one Twitter post for those who celebrated Eid, and were Muslim. That was a nice sentiment, but I hope we can push that further this year but displaying all MENA…

  11. Currently the teams feature is hidden away in a dark web covered section of the Twitch Platform. It's a great tool to grow your communities together with like-minded streamers.

Here are some basic ideas that I'd love to see, And will hopefully encourage it to be used more

    • Allow team creation via the dashboard: Currently it requires a ticket to create/modify a team, Having it be as easy as changing some channel settings would make it more accessible & easy to "Try out".

    • Allow Affilliates to create teams: If no support agent is needed for team creation, It would be…

  12. After receiving a notification about the changes to the Twitch Terms of Service on 6/6/2023, it is clear that there are changes that greatly affect streamers and how they are able to earn an income through the Twitch platform. Before I begin, I highly recommend that Twitch consider creating a way to be able to highlight changes made to their Terms of Service when they are updated, as there was no indication of WHAT changed specifically until I saw a thread on social media explaining it. This is an easy fix to a frustration that many have when a website's…

  13. So I noticed since a couple of weeks ago, Twitch removed the ability to track the drops via the profile drop down. I loved that though. I want it back cuz going all the way to the inventory page takes longer and gets me away from the stream versus just clicking on my profile and seeing the progress from there.

  14. With the increase of soft **** and people advertising their OnlyFans, Pornhub or whatever else, I'd like to block Just Chatting, Art, Pools and all the other categories that are used to stream soft **** and are better placed on other platforms than Twitch.

Another idea would be to do the blocking based on tags.

  15. Please fix the issue with large portions of chat not going over on raids. Even me, the streamer, is left behind half the time, maybe more. We have resorted to having to shout out the streamer before raiding out, which is just one more thing to have to do. And it's not inactive chatters getting left behind... I'll be sitting there and people will be typing "Did I get left behind?". So, I'll say "Yep, please click the link guys". Then by the time I get into the raided streamers chat... they're already talking about themselves and the greetings are…

  16. Text-to-speech is a great feature of the Twitch alerts integration. However, when viewers trigger an alert that uses TTS on my channel, the integration does NOT read out emotes. Instead of hearing "fletch61Heart" read out, the text is skipped. I'd like an option to enable / disable reading of Twitch emotes so that broadcasters can choose for themselves what gets read during alert messages.

  17. As a streamer i can stream on OBS with up to 5 diff tracks, Track 1 Game Volume, Track 2 Mic, Track 3 Music.

What i would love to see is as a viewer display those 3 tracks so i can mute or lower volume of the music but hear the game and streamer, or mute the streamer to listen to the game ect. i feel this shouldn't be too difficult and would massively improve the experience for myself and many others, i think.

  18. The partner plus feature should have realtime updates. Since twitch has integrated alerts and such it would be tremendously helpful for this to be a native goal that can be tracked on stream. As of now it takes a really long time for points to show in the counter and that can lead to confusion. The refresh time to check for this takes too long.

  19. We should have a Trans+Nonbinary Twitch Unity Guild
thats strictly gender and pronoun affirming!

I've previously tried to reach out to twitch about this but I learnt they aren't allowing this since I'm not a partner or ambassador

which seems very phobic that this guild isn't a thing yet! of course we all have our on groups where we feel safe but this really should be a thing (seems outdated that it isn't)

  20. Would love a feature where you can change the category of clips that were mistakenly saved. This happens a lot when you start the stream in a certain category and change it as stream continues. Sometimes, if the clips are saved with the previous category. I would to request the broadcaster to be able to change the category of clips to the right one after a clip was taken.
