How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  2. Streamers should be able to restrict raids from recently created accounts (e.g., streamer-specified thresholds of 10 minutes, 1 day, 1 week, etc.)

This is useful to combat repeated harassment from people who create new accounts with inappropriate names to raid into channels (esp. of marginalized communities)

While restricting raids to only channels the streamer follows is a possible band-aid, this substantially hampers growth (i.e., cure is worse than the disease) when this account age restriction would solve the trolls we are currently receiving

  3. So we know that Partner's get a way to give a lifetime subscription to 2 bot accounts and 3 other users, I was hoping that this could be extended with a role kind of permission that would allow affiliates to be able to gift it to their bots as well. This would make life so much easier for affiliates and let partner's know that this is an option as many don't know about it already and this would make it clear for everyone and less maintenance from the partner management team to let us manage it ourselves.

    For implementation, you…

  4. So Hype Trains have been around for a while now with minimal improvements. Many casters, including myself, don't use them due to their lack of integration, custom styling and lack of purpose. I have a few suggestions that, if enacted, would not only get me to use them but also improve the system overall for all creators.

It breaks down to three main suggestions:

    • Allow us to identify the emotes that are rewarded to the userbase. Just like we have a "Sub" and "Follower" emote section in our panel, a "Hype Train" section would be added. This would allow us…

  5. Since affiliate follow-emotes have come live, I've noticed several streamers are unable to use the new features due to suspensions 3 or 5 or more years old. So much so that some streamers can't even recall being suspended, or the reason for suspension, while maintaining a spotless record since then while consistently streaming for years, maintaining long term subscriptions and teams.

Despite otherwise fulfilling all the requirements for "Instant Upload Eligibility Requirements", they remain locked out of these new features, taunted by a link reading "find out how to regain access", with no further support, as they already meet said…

  7. What if @twitch communities could “Air Drop” Bits, Gift Subs, Donations etc. during a raid?

A Streamer starts a raid & a timer begins & the viewers from the channel raiding “Fill the Air Drop” (A Crate/Giftbox etc.) & AFTER the raid begins but BEFORE the support drops, Twitch sends an alert to the top of the chat of channel being raided indicating ”Air Drop Incoming!” w/ a countdown timer & pic/gif of the Crate/Giftbox w/ a parachute attached to it & when the countdown hits 0, ALL that support drops into the chat of the (small 🥺) channel being…

  8. Teams get little to no attention from Twitch and it's about time we changed this! Twitch teams have been around for many years yet majority of users have no idea what is it. Teams is such an amazing feature with lots of potential, we just need the support we deserve!

    • Give us back the ability to edit the team order on the Dashboard and make it easier to move everyone around rather than moving them one at a time.

    • A chat badge would allow for better networking and introductions between fellow team members.

    • Add a "follow all" button for those…

  9. The option to vote on polls with bits disappeared overnight with no announcement and no viable replacement.

This was a great way for viewers to financially support streamers in a way that contributed to choices made on stream (In my channel it was used for character selection within a game and variety game choice outside of the main stream game). I understand if a new concept is ready to go that creators can use as an alternative, but as long as there is no alternative, streamers who used this feature and Twitch itself will lose revenue.

    I'm not sure why…

  10. We’re experimenting with cues as a way to help streamers while they're live. Follow cues are a feature that reminds streamers to tell viewers to follow when they are live. Timing of these reminders are based on real-time data that tells us when the percentage of viewers not following you is higher than usual. We are testing location of these cues in either Chat or Activity Feed.
We look forward to hearing your feedback!

  11. Twitch has asked us to hold them accountable and we have been met with a wall of silence accompanied by shadow changes like the ones made to auto-hosts.

Twitch must communicate to creators with transparency about the plans and the data that leads to them. Without streamers there is no Twitch. We deserve to be able to ask questions and voice concerns about potential changes to the platform that we make possible.

These are the changes we would like to see:

    1. Allow for comment periods in advance of finalizing rollouts of changes to existing features.

    2. Provide open access to data…

  13. Would be nicer if the button could give an reason for the "Raid Stop" button

Like "This channel closed the raid due is ending the stream" because is a bit ankward to raid a person and the answer be the generic "raid settings do not allow you to raid at this time".

The raider could think this channel doesn't want ANY raid at all and never come back ever.

  14. Moments is a new way to celebrate channel lore and reward viewers for being part of the hype, live. With the click of a button, you can now turn major moments on stream into a commemorative chat badge that viewers will receive if they were watching live. The more moments a viewer takes part in, the higher badge tiers they unlock. Plus, newcomers can get to know your stream by clicking into these badges and viewing the defining moments of your community.

We look forward to hearing your feedback and if you have any questions please refer to our help…

  15. As a Twitch partner, our support from Twitch Staff continues to decline as more Twitch Partners are awarded over the pandemic.

Twitch Bounty Boards have been something that Partners can use to increase the amount of money they make each month from Twitch.

Can we set it up, so all Twitch Partners as part of their offerings from Twitch Staff once hitting this status?

  16. Problem: Current Hype Train emotes are rarely updated, unlocked quickly, and seldom used.

    Solution: The Community

Every Streamer picks one emote to be available globally in Hype Trains. Hype Train participants unlock one of the million+ emotes at random.

And then you lose access to the emote you unlocked after 30-days to not detract from the value of a direct sub to that streamer's channel.

In that realm of thought, this also works as a discovery feature. People might be curious about the channel whose emote they have unlocked - and go check them out. Perhaps they like the emote…

  17. Hi Twitch,

I'm TheDementedRaven & back in April I started a campaign for your company to acknowledge Autistic streamers as it was Autism Awareness month. I launched a successful campaign on Twitter, featuring various sizes of streamers and Autistc's alike to spread the word far and wide. I started this campaign because these events are often met with silence with companies such as yourselves, & we're left without the recognition and awareness that we deserve.

Sadly, I didn't get a response from yourselves.

So I ask, if you are going to acknowledge myself & others with disabilities this month, because…

  18. At Twitch we always want to celebrate streaming milestones. To do that, we're experimenting with a feature that highlights a creator's Partner or Affiliate Anniversary!

To let you know when your anniversary is coming, we'll be sending creators notifications a few days beforehand. To help your audience know it’s your anniversary, we’ll be adding a party hat icon next to your name in the left sidebar to let your followers know about your special day. When viewers enter your channel during your anniversary, they’ll see the same party hat icon next to your name under the video player, as well…

  19. once a raid is initiated by the streamer any streamers planning to raid in should be given a notification that the current stream they want to raid into is in the process of raiding another streamer.

this would help with instances of when someone raids into a stream that has already raided out leaving them in an empty chat.

possible solution: having a notification pop-up letting Streamer B know that Streamer A is currently in the process of raiding another person. accompanied with a button allowing Streamer B to "cancel raid" or "join the raid", which would let them group…

  20. I would like an option that "Turns Off" the showing of how many Raiders have been brought in

I feel like putting a number of viewers to a Raid diminishes the Gesture.

Raiding someone with your community is an incredible gesture, with 10 or 10000 raiders. Having the option of turning off the display of how many Raiders are brought in would reinforce the strength of the gesture

Also, in some occasions ppl can be "embarrassed" to Raid if they feel their community aren't big enough

Perhaps we could have it set up where it shows the viewer in the…
