Show whether channel is opted in or out of AI features
There should be an indicator on channels that show whether the channel is opted in or out of AI features. If I were a streamer who is opted out, I would only want to raid other channels who are opted out. I know there are tags for this, but tags are limited, and not all streamers are willing to sacrifice tags they deem more important. And from a viewer standpoint, if I am against AI, I would want to know which streamers are in or out so I can decide whether to engage or not. Since Twitch released this feature and opted everyone in by default, despite knowing people would not like it, you should at the very least make it visible for users to know so they can choose what channels they engage with going forward.

Considering opting out does not mean you are opted out even on other channels, and that people can put tags like "noai" or "aioptedout" to lie and cash in on new viewers from those tags, it is only ever going to be in bad faith and immoral to not make this transparent for all viewers to see considering you are actively stealing data from viewers who you know do not want to be used for ai.

Excellent suggestion, in particular because they are farming data not only from streamers but from viewers as well. There needs to be complete transparency at all levels of this.

This! I don't even raid anymore. I would love to know who is opt in so I can avoid them like the plague!

Naming Kick as a Twitch replacement is....a choice.

Absolutely this! If we have no choice but to be opted in, we should at the very least have the choice of if we watch it or not. (In the meantime, we are also doing research and seriously considering our options re: moving our streams to another platform like Kick that does not force us to be opted in to something we don't want as a default because they are aware that people would not opt in on their own.)

While I and several others do have a 'NoAI' tag on the streams, it would be nice to have something official

Considering that you are basically falsifying consent, proper marking is the least you can do if you refuse to switch the default to "no"

I've literally not been streaming since this came out, and when I do start streaming again, I'm only going to be raiding folks who I KNOW have opted out of this stupid, unnecessary, exploitive functionality.

It was not only unethical, the way this was all initially handled, but I just don't trust the use of this data. "Training our Gen AI" is so broad. If it's not to create tools for us and just a way to sell more of our data... F the **** ALL THE WAY off. Also, the opt out is basically not opting out. Do better. Maybe see what the community wants instead of catering to share holders who don't even know the platform.

Since opting out on your own channel doesn't actually protect you when you're interacting elsewhere, this is the LEAST Twitch can do to give us the actual ability to opt out, especially considering that the feature wasn't opt-in to begin with.

As a streamer, I want to keep my viewers away from people who willingly support generative AI. The streamers I know all hate this blatant theft of our content, and as long as it is opt-out, we deserve to know

Hey Twitch execs and board members, don’t forget to aim for the bushes.

This is a good decision, I don't want to interact with any channel that hasn't opted out and if i'm unsure I simply won't interact with them in the first place.

Hey Twitch, tell Jeff Bezos I’m just gonna start pirating audiobooks from Audible and shows from Prime because he hasn’t clicked a hard to find hidden box on my website “opting out”, so I assume he’s fine with it.
After all, if he gets to steal things I make because he his garbage robot needs it, why shouldn’t I get to steal things because my human brain (which is capable of actually creating art and creative content) needs stimulation?

Considering the fact that the Twitch CEO didn’t have a clue if opting out would take priority in co-streams if one person opted out and the other didn’t; and considering the need to ensure our opting out doesn’t get overridden by a collab or a raid; this is literally the bare minimum Twitch could do to even appear to care about creators. Which with how they rolled this out, we are quite sure they do not.
