Since opting out on your own channel doesn't actually protect you when you're interacting elsewhere, this is the LEAST Twitch can do to give us the actual ability to opt out, especially considering that the feature wasn't opt-in to begin with.

Being opt-out means that the damage for these tools is already done just by existing on the platform. Streamers can't un-collect their data, they can't un-train your models, and they can't un-damage their reputation when people think they've used these tools on purpose.

If you continue to use shady opt-out only tactics, you are going to lose creators and audience members while spending more on these features than you'll ever get out of them.

Let your users, both streamers and audiences, tell you whether these features are actually the future of the platform by letting people opt-in if and only if they actually feel the feature is useful. Anything less than that will kill your platform while hiding the issues behind falsely inflated statistics.
