1. Support apex domain user names through DNS records

   Feature: The ability to create an account that has an apex domain as the name. This is verified through a DNS record for that domain.

   Example of this: Bluesky lets any user set their account name using a verified domain by setting a value in the DNS record, this is what gave me this idea for Twitch.

   Why would this work? Usernames currently do not allow periods/dots/full stops, meaning any domain based name would automatically and perpetually be available until someone claims the domain.

   Why is this beneficial? It would let brands or anyone at all that owns an apex domain to have a guaranteed username for their content.

   Personally I think this is a brilliant system, as it creates an actionable reference to the brand or company directly from the user name.

2. viewers not signed

   I have experienced users being able to watch my channel without being signed in. Which takes away the possible revenue of the streamer and twitch. If you are not signed in on twitch there should be a black screen for all non-signed in viewers.

3. Gotta be visible to DJ?!

   I signed up to this new DJ program but opted out after discovering in the terms that I have to be visible and talk!

   I don't like the idea that I have to be visible on a DJ stream because it reveals my identity and I wish to stay anonymous!

   It makes me feel unsafe and vulnerable!

   When I used to be a DJ in nightclubs, I was never visible to the public and I would prefer to stay invisible!

   Also, I never did any talking, I would just play ******* tunes for 5 hours and everyone loved it!

   Personally, I've never liked it when DJs talk over music!

   I don't want people to see what I look like or any of my stuff!

4. Mod over abuse powers

   I would like if you guys can take illegal action against mods that breaks twitch community guidelines by over abusing there powers I have one mod that is breaking the community guidelines by threat me non stop and threatening to banned me for no reason he has been deleted my comments and putting me in timeouts the threat to banned me permanently when I am not breaking any rules or saying anything rude all I say I am going to take over my bed and then he deleted my comments as this word is against twitch TOS rules I read the rules and it doesn't say anything about that word is banned or a bad word. I will like twitch to banned user permanently that breaks community guidelines by mods over abusing there powers.

5. Get rid of the "Cheap Viewers" bots sitewide

   There must be a way to remove the "Cheap viewers bots" from channels. They have now figured out a way to bypass chat filters blocking terms like "cheap viewers", "best viewers" etc., by using Cyrillic characters that the filters don't see. The bots also now have figured out verified chat only like verified email and phone numbers so they have skated around those settings too. Either ban those keywords sitewide or create either a wildcard option or some other way to block those terms on channels so they go away. In channels I mod for, I delete and report them to twitch, but not all the reports are taken care of and the bot accounts stay up in those cases.

6. notification issue

   many users as i researched have a problem, as do i. When they are online, their followers even if they have notifications on, don't get the going online notification. Can this get fixed or is this twitches goal to discourage people to stream?. Thanks for the reply

9. Introduce Warnings and Measures against political (violent) extremism

   Dear community,

   I just saw a stream by a young German/Swiss streamer lady that unintentionally streamed political far-right/right-extremism (anti-semitic, anti-foreigners, anti-government, conspiracy) content from YouTube (see Q1). That propaganda was included in a parody of a political (far-)left actvist's song "Das ist alles von der Kunstfreiheit gedeckt" by Danger Dan who tested the legal boundaries of artful protest against far-right political extremism.

   A few seconds after reporting that issue, Twitch replied it would neither be "punishable" nor "illegal". Despite laws such as the NetzDG, our Law Enforcement and Intelligence agencies are allegedly classifiying such content as far-right political extremism.

   The far-right is undermining our system legitimacy and state sovereignty, as well our freedoms, by attacking the democratic system and it's institutions. For example, when (perceived) foreigners' or religious people (jews/muslims) are hated against to ultimatively strip them off their constitutional rights via propaganda or creating a hateful environment against them.

   The political far-right learned how to push their hateful ideology in a legal grayzone or so-called "lawfare": "a weapon designed to destroy the enemy by using, misusing, and abusing the legal system and the media in order to raise a public outcry against that enemy. " (Tiefenbrun, 2011). Such legal grayzones allow the far-right extremists to operate and mainstream their hateful ideology, make new recruitment and bypassing legal prosecution. The same Techniques, Tactics and Procedures we have seen in the last decades' terrorist organizations, just without legal interruption, while blaming all legal prosecution as being state/dictatorship-like oppression.

   Good examples for such lawfare are far-right wingers camouflaging or labeling themselves as patriots instead of ultra-nationalists. When they are talking about "Remigration" (Q2;Q3) instead of "Abschiebungen" (deportation) to express the plans to deport perceived "enemies". Everyone who does not fit e.g. by opposing their ideology or being foreign in any sense is their enemy. They reject your passport as your proof of nationality or citizenship, for them you have to be part the "nation" by blood, by your confirmity AND by your look. Such camouflage and chiffres making disgusting formations like the Potsdam Meeting or the Prinz Reuß far-right "terrorist organization" possible.

   Also evaluate the Social Media presence of AfD or JND (Q2;Q3). Latter a daughter party of the former NPD, the successor of the NSDAP (National Socialist Party). AfD is well known as far-right political party, at the legal ban from political participation and existence's edge. Due to political figures like Björn Höcke, a court-verdicted neo-national-socialist and former teacher. Both "parties" cooperate e.g. by using the term "Remigration" (Q2;Q3), used by far-right believers to attack (perceived) foreigners and opponents (Q2;Q3). Their aggressive hate and rhetoric against (im)migrants (Q2;Q3), all opponents and others, their state deligitimizing slogans, lack of willingness to contribute to political discourse, their financing by Russia or China and so on, are a threat to democracy, the state, humanity and thus national security (Tannous, 2023; Denny, 2021).

   Sadly, such horrible content is passively promoted in their propaganda materials, especially on Video Streaming platforms like YouTube, BitChute and Odysee. Music Platforms like Spotify and Messengers like Whatsapp and Telegram. Random users/streamers picking the content up and supporting or spreading it, without even knowing about the (far-right) propaganda in it, as it's so well-hidden inside! The case above show-cases it.

   As shown, the far-right political extremism is more dangerous to us, our national security and well-being than any other political actor or ideology within the political spectrum. Current (German) guidelines only showing measures against conspiracy theories and dis-/misinformation but not against political extremism. We need to take action as community, people and real patriots, therefore my recommendations!

   My recommendations:
   a) I strongly believe Twitch should introduce a paragraph about political extremism and it's active punishment. From a perspective of counter-radicalization and de-radicalization

   b) Twitch should raise awareness among Streamers regarding this trend and point out that this type of content that is politically and socially inacceptable. Whether it may be it's active promotion or passive sharing of such content to adults and minors alike

   c) Streamers who unintentionally stream that content e.g. by using the YouTube recommendations or similiar should only be warned. Most people do not believe or share that anti-human content (intentionally), rather most people accidentally share that content, as they fail to interpret and categorize it correctly intime

   Why should Twitch do so? Twitch profits from democratic freedoms within liberal or semi-liberal and well-regulated markets. If Twitch proactively allows the destruction of such freedoms, the free markts will die too. In turn it may be that Twitch's revenue or even existence will be threathened or non-existent under such a hateful regime, as it would be declared as foreign organization, traitor, political left-leaning or whatsoever fits in the ideology of the new dictators.

   Last warning! If we do not take actions immediately, far-right extremists or other anti-democratic and dangerous groups will continue to rise like in the last years (Tannous, 2023; Denny, 2021).

   Nazis or the far-right always sell their ideology as it would "benefit you". History shows, they will only take your sovereignty, freedoms, liberty and will throw you in the next great war. Such people can never satisfy their greed, their expansionism and nationalism. They will need to distract you from their mistakes and make you suffer. Differentiating us from them, real patriots from nationalists.

   The far-rights' conclusion is, by aggressively imposing their hateful, problem-making and inhumane ideology on us, people are pressured to support them. This is a fallacy, over time they will commit even more horrific violence over time, as they can not naturally hold up their power, without violating the liberty and will of the people.

   Supporting far-right extremists (or nationalists) will likely end up in a even more brutal and horrific version of the Nazi's Third Reich. Remember why the Nazis failed! They had lacking resources, in a two front war, and strong military opposition by the former Soviet Union and the United States (among others). This time Russia is on the opposite side, as we have seen in the Ukraine war, and the United States is close to a collapsing democratic system, as the far-right tries to undermine and delegitimize the United States political system.

   We are the people. We want to be free. Free from interference in our free elections, free from punishment based on our political or sexual preferences, our origin, skin color, ethnics or our private, just, respectful and sound political opinion. We do not want to experience violence, neither online nor offline. We want our children to rise in a secure, healthy and free environment. We want to say whatever we want, at the same time we want protections against the freedom of speech or opinion's misuse.

   It is up to you! Do you either want to watch how democracies turn into hateful killer machines killing you and your family or do you want to support democracies as they are here now? Do not base your decision on your current political system. Keep the democracies stable and they will BENEFIT YOU. Lets defend our countries. Now.

    The most spam I get on twitch is bot spam from those accounts telling you about "cheap viewers" and posting a link. This would prevent the chat from being shown at all, and then you could confirm and remove.

    Yes, there is an option to prevent links - but this is not helpful for those who want to allow viewers to post links. I don't want to make everyone a VIP. I want to allow my viewers to post links without having to micromanage them by making sure EVERYONE that watches my channel is a VIP. I would rather approve URL's on a case by case basis, that's a heck of a lot less work then trying to make sure everyone is a VIP. Think about it - there are so many art streamers out there that want to raid and then drop a link to their art. It makes no sense to make every raider a VIP.

    How this should be implemented: I see a couple potential options. 1) Add a new section to the automod section with the option to automod all links. 2) Add option underneath the "Block Hyperlinks" option that expand out once you enable it.

    Another nice option would be to have a controls for how to moderate it, like only allowing followers to post links, or allow links if a viewer has been in your stream for a certain amount of hours, or maybe even to automod links if it's a new chat only. It's usually just the first chat that the bots send links in.

    Ultimately, I just want prevent unsafe links from being posted until I say it's ok. Then I will make the decision to either allow or disallow and likely ban them, in the case of a bot.

11. Restrictions on Vtubers and women are a sexist, unfair, and gynophobia double standard

    It's sexist. Censorship and policing of v tubers and the like is policing fiction rather than real people and it's just the same misogyny. It's gynophobia. over polygons. Remember, not too long ago twitch had problems of abuse and misconduct with people that worked for them.

    That's the harm. that's the sexism. not v tubers. It's the treatment of the people making content on this site.

    That is what is harmful here.
    And this is not just about women. Notice I said people. I think we'd all be doing a lot better in this industry if we recognized that a company that shamelessly mistreats any single group of people is probably mistreating all their employees in some way, shape, or form.

    THAT is the harm. not chevage on polygons or "revealing clothing".

    Now, does this make sense? That this is all performative? This is all a smokescreen? We see you, Twitch. The fact that these employees are brave enough to actually go and file these complaints while twitch is on the run like this, mad props to them. We all know this is going on. We all know this is happening. That is where sexism is happening. The v-tubers on the screen, the cleavage on the woman, that's not hurting anybody. There are paintings and pictures in the real world that have some cleavage showing. You know, classic art. It's not hurting anybody.

    Twitch thinks it can pacify viewers and investors and advertisers toning down things and faceless women. They think they're doing something progressive. it's not.

    Twitch's censorship of women and their bodies and the like when they themselves had abusers on staff is not a good look. We can have gore and shooting games but some how we shun women's bodies in a very anti-feminist way? Let's get in to how disrespectful it is.

    Correct me if i'm wrong but i hear that "revealing clothing for V tubers is now going to be disallowed. Now if it's just to require a tag, and are equivalent to restrictions on real live people then this help suggestion is null. However. there is a very censorship happy push and a very corporate c-suite bigotry that is and has been harming women for over a decade now. It's no different than the measuring of skirts we had for "decency" when the Christians did it. or "she was asking for it".

    Instead of recognizing that the goal, the idea, the ideal we're supposed to be moving towards is that women—everybody—but in this case, women should be respected regardless of what they're wearing. Even if somebody does something awful, you still respect them as a human being.

    in the push to "stop objectification" you say You do not objectify anybody, which is what you do when you decide, "Oh, why don't we impose vtuber models to cover up?" It's bull.

    And this is why gamers push back against this stuff. It's not because they're all "Unga Bunga, me want *****." That's not what it is. It's that they recognize this stuff is all smoke and mirrors. They recognize that, in a sense, this is objectifying women more. This is treating women as if there's something inherently wrong with being a woman. "Oh, you can make her less sexual, but women are fine." No, you still can't leave a virtual group of polygons alone.

    This is the frustrating part of this stuff, that the players are getting treated like **** because the players are savvy enough to see through this ******** and are willing to talk about it. Willing to be crapped on for it.

    Benevolent sexism also polices depictions of women in media in a way that claims to stop “objectification” or “sexualization,” but those who do this are hypocrites on their best days and self-appointed protectors of people who didn’t ask for protection. 13. Ability to adjust audio channels of a stream, as a viewer!

    I dream of the day, when I as a viewer, can adjust the streams audio levels, each on their own channel of course. I find myself often in a situation, as someone who has a stream on the background and mostly listens while gaming or doing something else at the same time, that the music levels of the stream are too loud or if im playing the same game, well nobody wants to hear that mess either, right? Is this something that could be done someday? I think it is a pretty innovative idea, it would make it easier for both parties, streamer and viewer! Thing is, every stream more or less have different audio levels and different levels for their voice, game audio and game music and it is sometimes painful to adjust them, cos you do want to hear the streamer, but not the music etc.. Also , as a lurker, I dont want to bother the streamer with such things, it might be that they cant do anything about it, or it is fine for other people, and so on.. This would definetly be a dream come true, future of streaming!

14. Using the N word with the hard R should be permanent/indefinite ban.

    There should no reason to give 7 day bans, especially if they have had a long history of offenses. There's a streamer this hour just banned for racism using the N word with the hard R. He's now on discord laughing at it says he'll be back in 7 days. Please fix this.

    Save Stream Title, category, tags as a preset for easy switching between games and activities. Even if it's a set limit of a few presets, any would be better than none.

20. Neurodiverse discrimination should not be tolerated!

    I do not believe that twitch is doing enough to make the platform a safe place for Neurodiverse people in same way it does for other forms of discrimination.

    • Twitch should provide basic instructions of how to recognize Neurodiverse discrimination on the twitch platform but also related platforms such as Discord and twitter.

          - For example if a person has disclosed that they are neurodiverse and 
            another user continually posts comments such as weird or repeated 
            post gif and emotes under the disclosed persons messages. This would 
            be harassment and victimization
      
        - It should also be made clear that streamers are not allowed to use 
          diagnosed terms as insults and this includes umbrella terms such as 
          neurodivergent. While the words themselves are not bad the intentions 
          behind the words should be reviewed with streamers who have been 
          open about their own neurodiversity with diagnoses or stated belief that 
          they may be neurodiverse be also considered 
          for context. 
      

    I would also like twitch to provide front page to streamers who are neurodiverse to share their experiences of being discriminated against and open dialogue about it.
