1. gambling +advert

   I've been getting spammed by three different gambling companies during a campaign of massively increased advert airtime.

   Straight up no. I don't mind adverts, but gambling is a hard scam targeted at persons of less affluent cognition, with an adictive *****. Being in bed with gambling and less moral conduct is one of the main differences between you and KICK.

   This weekend it's hard ad block time. Figure it out.

2. Block access to twitch api

   Someone created an app that allows him to see every channel’s followers without being a moderator. He can also track every Twitch user in real time, meaning he can see who a user is following instantly. He is using this app to harass me.

   He keeps following me everywhere, no matter if I change my username or not. Twitch’s API access should be restricted to Twitch staff only. When Twitch removed the ability for users to see who someone is following, that restriction should have applied to everyone, including third-party applications.

   Please restrict access to the Twitch API so that people outside of Twitch staff cannot create apps that expose information about other users that should remain private. This situation is personally affecting me, and I believe it violates Twitch’s Terms of Service and community guidelines.

3. Sort By does not hold selection at all.

   Sort by keeps defaulting to recommend literally on every page, when I change it if I leave and comeback or even refresh it reverts back to recommended. Please fix it to remember what I left it at, it is unbelievably frustrating.

4. please let us block gifs entirely

   I'd like to ask for blocking animated emotes and gifs be unlinked And that when one does choose to block gif that the gif image does not show at all in chat.

6. Let us organise followed channels into folders

   Can we get the option to create folders for followed channels? I’d like to group streamers into folders I can name myself so it’s easier to find the ones I want to watch. It would help a lot for anyone who follows a lot of people.

   Bring back an improved version of Host Mode as a safer “Live Event Host” feature for community events.

   I’d like Twitch to reconsider bringing back channel hosting, not necessarily in the exact same form as the old Host Mode, but as a redesigned feature that solves the problems Twitch identified when it was removed.

   I understand why the original Host Mode had issues. If viewers were watching a hosted stream on another channel’s page, they might not understand where they were, which chat they were in, who they were supporting, or how to interact with the actual live streamer. It could also create moderation concerns if a large channel suddenly exposed a smaller channel to an audience they were not prepared to handle. Those are real concerns.

   But the answer should be to improve hosting, not remove a powerful community tool entirely.

   A major use case that is currently underserved is local esports and fighting game community events. At many fighting game locals, there may be 20+ players attending who all stream individually and average 5–15 viewers each. The tournament stream might only have 5 viewers because everyone’s regular audiences are split across personal channels, Discords, and offline pages. Those players are physically at the event, competing in the bracket, and supporting the tournament, but they have no good way to send their viewers to the official event stream unless they are actively live and use a raid.

   That creates a weird outcome: the community is gathered in one real-world place, but the Twitch audience is fragmented or lost. The event stream could easily have 150+ viewers if everyone could easily expose the event stream to their viewers but there is no straight forward way to do so right now.

   A redesigned hosting feature could fix this while also addressing Twitch’s original concerns:

   1. Hosted viewers should be routed into the hosted channel’s chat, not the host channel’s chat.
      1a. If I host a tournament stream, my viewers should be watching and chatting in the tournament channel’s chat, with the tournament channel’s moderators, rules, AutoMod settings, follower/subscriber settings, and safety tools.

   2. Hosting should require consent or pre-approval from the hosted channel.
      2a. Channels could choose who is allowed to host them. For example, an event organizer could approve attending players, commentators, venue staff, or partner communities before the event starts.
      2b. You could even utilize the "Knock" feature where people wouldn't have to go live but could ask permission to host and the event stream can approve the host.

   3. Add an “Event Host Mode” for tournaments, charity streams, conventions, and community events.
      3a. The event stream could create an approved host list or event code. Approved channels could display the official event stream while they are offline or attending the event.

   4. Make the viewer experience obvious.
      4a. The page should clearly say: “You are watching [Event Channel], hosted by [Streamer].”
      4b. The follow, subscribe, chat, raid credit, and viewer credit should all point to the live event channel. This removes the confusion that existed with old Host Mode.

   5. Give small channels safety controls.
      5a. Hosted channels should be able to set limits such as: allow hosts only from approved channels, cap host exposure from unapproved channels, require verified accounts to chat during large host spikes, or automatically enable stricter moderation when host traffic exceeds a threshold.

   6. Track host-driven discovery without inflating fake engagement.
      6a. Twitch could separate “hosted viewers” from normal viewers in analytics if needed. That would address the concern that hosted viewers are not always fully organic while still letting community events benefit from real discovery.

   This would be especially valuable for fighting game locals, small esports scenes, LAN events, speedrunning events, charity events, music events, tabletop events, and creator meetups. These communities often depend on many small creators working together. Right now, Twitch has raids for when a stream ends and Suggested Channels for passive offline recommendations, but there is no strong tool for “I am part of this live event right now; send my audience to the official stream.”

   Please consider bringing back hosting as a modern, safer, consent-based feature. The old Host Mode had problems, but the underlying need is still real: Twitch communities need better ways to combine fragmented audiences around shared live events.

8. As a viewer, I want to opt out of "raid welcome" shouts

   When Twitch introduced shouts in general, I was leery. It feels to me like the purpose of these shouts is already served by the "stories" function, and while I'd rather not have streamers shouting at me at all, having one way for it to fill up my homepage and spike my anxiety (ie stories) is bad enough. Then I started getting "raid welcome" shouts from streamers I don't know. This feels incredibly invasive, manipulative, and like I'm being targeted, and I don't like it at all! I want Twitch to add a native feature that allows users to opt out of any "raid welcome" shouts they may receive. I still want to follow someone I am watching when they raid (both to boost their numbers and to get the channel points) but I don't like when I follow a raid into a channel I don't know and then the new streamer sends me a shout as a "raid welcome." I want there to be a native Twitch setting that allows me to opt out of these.

9. Remove all the screen clutter

   Please remove all the clutter on screen. I just want to watch the stream, I dont care what the stream watch streak is, i dont care who they’re streaming with. Just let us watch the stream. Or give us the option to turn it off, waste of time.

10. Notifications - Recently Went Live

    Currently, the Notifications area on Twitch covers things like drops, gifted subs, stream streaks, and updates pertinent to my channel. What it DOESN'T do is tell me who went live recently. It's frustrating to have a notification pop up and disappear before you can mouse over to it and not know who it was because of a new pfp or vague go live message or whatever.

    If the Notifications drop-down could add a tab for "Recently Went Live" that keeps a list of who went live in your follow list in the past 30-60 minutes, I'd find that really useful, as I follow over a thousand people and scrolling through the Following Sidebar doesn't make that easy, and that sidebar also cuts off after so many channels, leaving ones with the fewest viewers -- like someone who just went live -- not visible.

11. Emote menu makes rest of the screen darker

    In the recent update where GIFs were added to the emote menu on the mobile app, when you open the emote menu, there is a dark filter applied to the rest of the screen (both chat and the stream itself). A dark filter over the chat and stream makes you feel disconnected from the stream, which is the opposite of what a viewer wants to feel when they're using twitch. It makes me not want to open the emote menu.
    Additionally, if you want to pause the stream, scroll in chat or do anything outside of the emote menu, the emote menu closes. It didn't used to do that. I prefer the old way, because it made it feel more intuitive and work more like a keyboard than a pop-up menu.
    The new emote menu feels like a disconnected part of the viewer experience and is an overall disimprovement in my opinion.
    Please remove the dark filter when opening the emote menu when chatting in a stream, and let the emote menu be open when clicking outside of the emote menu when it's open. Thank you.

12. Moderation Tools: Official Twitch Suspension/Ban Reasons Mod Notes

    I'd like to request an addition to the moderation tools please. Yesterday, a user came into a stream chat that I moderate and talked about how they had previously been suspended by Twitch on that account. I couldn't find any official information on whether this was true or not. I think it would be very useful for mods to be able to see what the reasons for official Twitch actions are, so as to better keep chats safe.

    Equally, if these official actions are overturned after a successful appeal, then those marks should be removed from a users account

13. Twitch Support is a pain to use

    Contacted Twitch support multiple time. had to explain multiple time the issue, always received a pre-made reply not linked to the issue.

    And no way to give Twitch feedback about it.
    Suggestion:
    Take a look at the workflow of twitch support.
    Give a tool to report bad support; to improve it

14. Suspend people using context. And only suspend after a recent warning has been ignored..

    This is not a suspension appeal.

    I have been using this platform for over a decade now, and saw that a large streamer got banned recently for their commentary on stream. I want to point out how the current suspension flow is heavily lopsided toward playing it safe, and in doing so, hurts the platform by neglecting context and the way real users behave.

    As a major platform, it makes sense to play it safe to protect public image. However, the current flow used to reach this recent decision is actually hurting Twitch's public image due to neglecting the majority of users out there: those who know their influencers, actively consume such content, and perfectly understand the context of what they are watching. There is a reason political discussion is permitted and highly popular not only on Twitch but on all of social media. They are the new spaces to touch on issues that are actively distorted, misrepresented, or often even ignored by traditional news media. It is well known that trust in traditional news media has been at its lowest point in history for several years now. What resonates on all these platforms is commentators who are genuine and speak from the heart, and they should not be expected to act fake, or to never get emotional when speaking on major, pressing issues.

    I believe a more sensible suspension flow must understand context, and first issue a clear warning on such issues (with warnings resetting every few months, not a year-old warning leading to a recent ban). Only after a recent warning is violated should a ban like this ever happen.
    Again, the current flow does not actually save face for Twitch. This is clear with the massive uproar from real people all across the web after the recent decision. Insta-banning someone to stick to a safe-sounding ruleset kills the platform's credibility with the real, silent majority of users. And it immediately spreads like wildfire to a massive audience who learn about it on all other platforms. Yes, people who consume this type of content understand, and often even live through these intense political frustrations, and a lazy, ban-on-sight ruleset only ignores this majority to appease the loud minority.

    I saw a banner here which states that suspension appeals get removed. However, suspension requests do not get the same treatment. The vast majority of your audience is simply living their lives, not going around complaining, but your system rewards that small number of people who do. I want to make a difference by speaking on behalf of the majority that you are neglecting. A majority which I believe should be your primary focus, even if a small group rages on complaining. And I believe that a context-aware, recency-based warning system is the key to that.

15. The ability to follow more than 2,000 creators

    Get rid of the max followage amount. What is the purpose of this, anyway? There's millions that stream on twitch a month, we should not be limited by this. Further, twitch needs to stop DELETING follows from people when they're near or at capacity. We should be able to follow more than 2,000 people, it's ridiculous.

16. Add a privacy toggle to block all third-party sites from using account data

    Please add a safety setting to completely block third-party websites from tracking or displaying our account data through the Twitch API. I only want my Twitch data to stay on Twitch. External sites should not be allowed to pull or show our metrics and channel statistics without explicit permission.

17. Ad curation and channels/creators being able to control the ad space.

    We had the bounty board, and we also have had the #ad sections on twitch. "which brought brands and streamers together"

    Since ad revenue is not a constant, allow streamers to curate the ad's and brands they would like to show on there channel. Some of the community likes X and the other likes Y. I'm not here to tell you or the creators not to "get that bag" but let the channels curate the exp. If a streamer want's to "get that bag" and doesn't see a moral conflict with a sponsor/ad they can choose to take that ad, if they do have a moral or obligation that does not allow for it they should be allowed to opt out.

    Something simple like a checklist of brands and ad types, they can allow or disallow from. then a sub section to target specific ads they don't like on the channel.

    This means the slots streamers show on populated channels value would go up, while allowing lower pop streamers/creators to be able to curate the exp of the small community.

    this also might help the game categories disparity, like some games/categories don't align with creators but the same is true in the opposite direction. If a creator has the ability to decide what the community is exposed to in ads, while also allowing for ad's to show a number value this should increase the value of the ad time.

    If a fast food companies time per view is lower than a local targeted ad
    they should have the ability to choose, and vise versa.
    if worldwide brand pay a worldwide price the creators should be able to choose that.

    If a streamer has a community that is built on a core foundation, they should not have to shake that foundation to keep using the platform.

    Personally i think Twitch is going to have a major problem going forward with ad's and the revenue they generate for both the creator and the platform.
    If the streamers can't control the ad's or the amount they get from the ads it pushes the streamers and communities away.

    Like nobody likes ads but they are a necessary evil, but i think people who use the platform should be able to control somewhat what is pushed in that necessary evil.

    Another problem that i have seen on occasion is when a channel/event/creator has a deal in place with a brand or company and then in the ad cycle is direct competition. If AI is checking ad reads and chat gets into a conversation about the ad that was played during that segment, unless i am mistaken the ai might flag it. this is just a wild worry as i don't know what the ad read check does tbh.

    but to summarize i think just giving creators a "catalog" of ads/rev and what they are ok with "pushing" on there channel is something that should be looked into. from a average joe standpoint i also think you could create an ad bounty system where you are the person passing the information between the two different clients.

    Example:
    fast food : check
    politics : empty
    Sales : check
    Gambling : empty
    etc.

    Just give the creators the power to decide if the small amount of money they get is worth the message, put the power back in the creators hands.

    I saw a chatter say they feel pressured and manipulated by the Twitch "stream streak" notifications, so much so that they deliberately choose to miss occasional streams to end the streak! While this is a very niche case, there should be a setting for such users, which, if they enable it, would make stream streaks entirely disappear from the UI for them so they don't have to worry about it any more.

    I would also note that Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are all actively facing legal pressure over "addictive design", and stream streaks are one feature which might be viewed as harmful within this regulatory zeitgeist.

    I saw a chatter say they feel pressured and manipulated by the Twitch "stream streak" notifications, so much so that they deliberately choose to miss occasional streams to end the streak! While this is a very niche case, there should be a setting for such users, which, if they enable it, would make stream streaks entirely disappear from the UI for them so they don't have to worry about it any more.

19. Prevent Harassment through Channel Point Redemption Abuse

    It's getting more and more common for streamers to get harassed by bad actors who create burner accounts with offensive, foul, and sometimes even threatening names, and bypass all forms of chat moderation by simply redeeming a channel point redeeming and having their name appear in native twitch chat as "[threatening name] has redeemed _____"

    At this point there is literally no way to stop it. You cant remove the twitch message, you can't prevent it from being posted. Banning does nothing because you can only ban them post-redemption. And they'll just create another account and do it anyway.

    Chat moderation does not cover channel point redeems, and the current state of Twitch Account Creation allows these harassers to constantly create new burner accounts with threatening names and hang around a streamers channel to redeem stuff and ensure both you and your entire community reads their name. It's ridiculous.

    The only realistic way of handling this at the moment is pricing them out with expensive redeems, but that affects the enjoyment of the entire community since redeems now have to be ridiculously expensive.

    Please either

    1. Give us the more control over moderating channel point redeems. Something similar to chat moderation settings where we can specify a necessary follow time or channel status (e.g. Following for over 5 minutes, Subscriber) before viewers are allowed to chat. Allow us to do the same for channel point redeems.

    2. Make it so that the streamer can toggle on/off the grey "name has redeemed ______" in the native twitch chat.

    It's a simple fix. Either give us a way to control our own redeems, or make it so that these trolls don't get the satisfaction of seeing their name show up in chat and disrupt the whole stream.

20. Remove access to a user following list by 3rd party sites

    Hello,

    Please remove access to 3rd party sites to access API ,so that someone can not be able to track the following list of a person on twitch using websites like
    : https://tools.2807.eu/follows or https://t-tools.lolarchiver.com/followinglist.

    This is harassment. Someone is always following me on twitch, where i go , and even if i could change my name , and they will see me in a stream then again they could start following me everywhere.
    After the update a year or 2 ago people should not be able to see who someone is following on twitch and that feature should not be able to be exploited by these 3rd party sites , allowing someone to harass twitch users by knowing all the time who they are following.
    I hope you can see that this is a real issue and take a stand against it.
