How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  2. With this latest TOS update, the only remaining difference between Twitch and Chaturbate is the fact that on the second you can masturbate on cam, which at this rate you will allow in a matter of months.
A platform that fails to enforce its own rules is a failing platform, I honestly believe that within 2-3 years most serious streamers will have already moved to Kick or YouTube, because there will no longer be space on this platform for their content.
Over time, Twitch will become a site intended for *********** and will remain only, as it already is now,…

  3. Currently you have one shot at it to set the right labels while you are live.

As soon as the live is over, you have no way of applying the correct labels to the archived broadcast, or any new highlights/clips created from that broadcast.

  4. My idea: Twitch should always respect all streamers and encourage streaming regardless of content or appearance, neither of which is harmful to anyone. Showing civility and respect works both ways.

  5. While I believe that creators should have some freedom to do what they want, I also believe viewers should have the freedom to exclude certain content from their searches on Twitch. As is right now, I cannot find a way to filter out streams marked with "Sexual Themes" through the search bar on Twitch. Simply searching the word "art" brings up any stream with the "art" tag, which could be a stream with the "Sexual Themes" CCL.

In fact I just did this, the top 5 results included two streams of IRL streamers in barely any clothes, dancing in a…

  7. While I fully support any creator's right to produce whatever content they wish within Twitch's TOS, there are many users who for multiple reasons, do not wish to view Sexualised Content.

Currently, even if a streamer marks their content with the 'Sexual Themes' tag, I still see thumbnails of them performing sexualised content in my Browse view, and often see a second or two of sexualised content before the 'warning screen' appears. On top of this, I'm also seeing sexualised content in their stream titles.

I would like to see a default setting in User Preferences where users are asked…

  8. Dear Twitch,

The simplest idea to solve all bots of the category (Follow, View) forever and help Twitch to become the first platform of transparency and credibility in 4 steps:

    • Change your statistical analysis on the platform. For example, “only verify all” accounts are counted and displayed as “View/Viewer”, “Follower” and for other statistics. Nobody gets any more information about how many people are watching the stream. You only see a “real number” of followers and current viewers.
    • All verified users (via ID card/Passport or something similar) have access to one account, not several. (Except for partners/affiliates who each have…

  9. are you idiots or what?..why have you banned the channel "Sinicawho"?..it's not her fault - neither she chose to play that video herself, neither she knew what's going to be shown in the video..besides it's a video from youtube, not pornhub..first of all, how can she know what's the content of the video, n second, how can she expect something improper, especially when it's from a site like youtube?..it was i who ordered this video for her and others to watch, to be precise: "Miss Bashful X DBBD- Short King Spring" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83tp9wyHpfM, just like i ordered "Eartheater - Pure…

  10. Require phone verification on accounts. There are too many bot accounts and no one get banned . They just spamming in chatbox or try to giving weird challenges to kids. That's enough! ' One phone number, one account! '

  11. When I logged on to twitch.tv today, on the homepage was an NSFW stream thumbnail. When clicking on the stream, the stream is tagged as "Significant Profanity or Vulgarity, Sexual Themes", so Twitch knows it's profane and sexual.

Yet the thumbnail, which was of a woman with NSFW-amounts of clothing on, was the first thing on the site. There should not be NSFW thumbnails on the homepage of twitch.tv, unless I explicitly click on the stream.

  13. It's sexist. Censorship and policing of v tubers and the like is policing fiction rather than real people and it's just the same misogyny. It's gynophobia. over polygons. Remember, not too long ago twitch had problems of abuse and misconduct with people that worked for them.

That's the harm. that's the sexism. not v tubers. It's the treatment of the people making content on this site.

That is what is harmful here.
And this is not just about women. Notice I said people. I think we'd all be doing a lot better in this industry if we recognized that a…

  14. A security incident with my account recently convinces me twitch is very vulnerable to cross-site scripting. I therefore would like to constructively suggest:

    • motivating and applying proper content security policies to filter out untrusted 3th party dependencies; these seem to be completely missing right now?

    • giving the end user, the viewer, more control over which extensions are loaded on a stream independent of the streamer's configuration... i want to block all extensions from now on, but i can't easily?

    • maybe doing the threat modelling to exclude all CSRF related threats if not already done

Where my proof is limited my…

  15. Dear twitch.tv

I must be one of your most loyal customers. Not only spend I over hundreds of EUR on subscriptions. I am one of your most loyal viewers.

I enjoy being part of my communities and being engage in many activities.
Now some time no I get privacy concerns. Maybe my clever comments and constructive criticism caught the content creators attention. I'm flattered to get noticed by the streamers and their mods. Now that I got their attention in this highly competitive environment. Like always in a gaming environment. i notice that some people are being provocative with me.…

  16. There are two Twitch groups that are filled with bots and fake streamers, almost all of them have over 2k followers, these groups send follow bots and hate raids.

The twitch groups are Siedler and NaM

There doesn't seem to be any way for a twitch group to be reported for bots or fake content, but there are groups out there specifically going against ToS and there's nothing we can do about it on this side. Please give us a way to send a twitch group Report so groups like these can be vetted and reprimanded. Thank you.

  17. When you have you Amazon Prime linked to Twitch, Clicking the Discover Luna box beside Twitch Icon/Following/Browse on Twitch website, it will redirect you to Amazons website. On Amazons website the first thing that will appear is your linked address if you are logged into Amazon on your browser, potentially doxing you. Recommend providing a popup window that tells you that you will be redirected to Amazon.ca/.com to prevent this happening to others would be appreciated to keep users/streamers private information safe in the event your a curious cat on stream clicking buttons. Having a single button hosted on twitches…

  18. Why is the term '******' accepted at Twitch/Amazon? From what I can see it's completely acceptable for streamers/Twitch chatters to use this term freely.

Twitch has cracked down on most bigoted language, so I am curious as to why this term has been allowed to be said?

  19. A specific videogame (Final Fantasy XIV) as an extensive catalog of in-game music and has had a consistent issue with certain tracks being claimed.

According to the following article by the developer:

    https://support.eu.square-enix.com/rule.php?id=5383&la=2&tag=authc

that it is fair use to play the game with the soundtrack, in fact, they disencourage sharing the soundtrack on its own, or to play the game with other external music tracks.

An example of such happening is the track "Rise" by Masayoshi Soken, part of the album 'Death Unto Dawn: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack', which is enumerated in the article linked. Could the content matching…

  20. Giving our phone numbers to you has proven unsafe and I believe will be shown again to be unsafe again in the future with leaks or the potential to sell our personal information.

With that being said, I have noticed that we cannot even follow some channels without giving you such a personal piece of information.

I strongly ask for a better system that guarantees not only streamer's safety but also viewers, one where we do not have to give a piece of personal information we do not want to give you or we can't as in some cases phone…
