How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. As twitch terms and conditions changed in June, all streamers cannot do Simulcasting (multistream). However, not only revenue-generating streamers, but also many streamers are Simulcasting (multistream) without prior permission from Twitch.
Why aren't streamers who are simulcasting (multistream) in violation of the terms and conditions punished?
We ask that streamers who are generating revenue be immediately terminated and temporarily suspended for violating the terms and conditions.
Also, please add Simulcasting (multistream) to your reporting categories.
Change the terms again to allow Simulcasting (multistream) only for regular streamers and prohibit Simulcasting (multistream) for monetized streamers.

  2. When whisper scambots [click link to lose steam credentials] are reported and confirmed to be scambots, twitch should contact the link site registrar and report abuse to stop new bot accounts continuing to spam that site.
Also whispers should have reported & confirmed links filtered so the whisper isn't delivered.
Twitch should also report to google.

  3. Remove the report button.

Why not? It's just a 'feel good' button. I keep reporting phishing scammers, cheaters, and use of viewbots.

Does Twitch do anything to stop them? Nope. I've flagged 1000 phishing(Not exaggeration) imposter accounts. They're still going.

I've flagged for cheating, with the specific rule, with the link to the said rule that the cheater is breaking and nothing happens.

The phishing scammers make a new one as one is taken down. No real way to prevent this menace.

The viewbots are quite obvious with looped video streams advertising a website or is to another phishing scam.

  4. There should be an appeal system when it comes to emotes getting rejected.

There has been multiple times where I paid to get an emote created, and made sure beforehand that it wasn't going against the guidelines. Yet they give a general reason, but it doesn't align. Allowing one person's perception to be the only answer isn't right.

  5. I have been streaming today, I got raided by a real streamer but they had BOTS in their stream and now they have come into my stream and sending me over 100 followers non stop over on my page and it will not stop. I am not happy about this and wish to have something done, I was originally at 1,804 followers and now I am all the way at 2300+ it is A JOKE. This twitch needs to prevent this from happening. I do not want fake followers or bots in my stream, throughout my whole stream and continuing…

  6. Stop allowing all these channel bots to be created by users. They offer no viewer count and do nothing for channel growth. Its bad enough you can get banned for using follower and viewer bot services but these bots never get banned for being A BOT.

  7. This should be a simple feature to add, if I blocked a user, make it so that user will not see my channel listed on the directory.

You already have it so a banned user will not see chat, expand this to also cover the directories, so they can't see your channel even being listed on that user account.

  8. I believe it should be an idea to hide the channel (if that channel is streaming) from being suggested if that channel has been banned from your own channel because I banned The13thSeahawk recently from my channel yet he's being suggested by the algorithm whenever he's streaming. He has also banned me from his channel. If I clicked on his channel while I'm banned and my unban request was already used, it would tell me that I am permanently banned from his chat which would make it useless for me to visit The13thSeahawk's stream in the first place.

    If implemented,…

  10. Ban appeals shouldn't be so one-sided
Currently, my understanding of the appeal system when banned from chat is:
    - users are not told why you are banned, but you get to see the last 5 messages you sent.
    - users only get a small number of characters for their unban appeal, which may not be enough.
    - users are not told if OR WHY their appeal is denied
    - mods cannot ask for clarification since they cannot respond to the appeal, and vise versa.

Since banned users cannot see who chat users are, banned users have to ask moderators to…

  12. The current content classification rules lists 6 words as example profanity, three as "extreme vulgar language" and three as "mild profanity". Two problems: 1) not every part of the world categorizes those six words the same (some consider "cnt" to be pretty mild, some consider "" to be extreme, for example), but 2) due to this subjectivity, any profanity not listed is automatically unclear as to which category it belongs under. If I call my friend a *****, is that extreme? Is "douchebag" mild? I obviously don't think making lists of what profanity is extreme or mild…

  13. I have seen so many ridiculous emotes get removed. Middle fingers, a butt shaking, dancing are not offensive and it is absolutely childish to ban an emote that is literally just pixels showing things that every iPhone and Android have (the middle finger)

  14. Some streamers, such as 39Daph, have really offensive stream titles … Other streamers, such as Amouranth or TheDanDangler, have really offensive stream content. But there doesn’t seem to be a way to report them for offensive content or titles. It is really strange that Twitch doesn’t have offensive content as a ‘reason’ for reporting streamers.

  15. Unregulated CSGO gambling. I don't think unregulated gambling should be allowed on twitch and neither should affiliated gambling. Affiliated gambling codes gives creators a small percentage of what their viewers loose on the gambling website to the creator as a reward for their viewers signing up and loosing money. A lot of streamers don't even use their own money on these websites when gambling live on stream, instead the website loads their account with money and lets them gamble with no finical risk, but at the same time these streamers are telling viewers to use these unregulated gambling website and…

  16. I would like to know how to make a formal complaint about the lack of responce from the reports system on your platform. I have been suffering abuse and harassment for a month from the same user and I have reported every time they have said or done something abusive or harassment, which has been at least 10 reports over the month and I have been given no responce and no action has been taken. I wish to make a formal complaint about this as the lack of responce is disgusting and the fact this streamer is still, a month…

  17. Sometimes Twitch might recommend a channel, and we go there, dedicate much effort to good participation in it, support the streamer by using the Amazon link, then for no apparent reason, suddenly we have a notice that our account is permanently banned. This could ruin almost one month of a subscription, perhaps even more.

If ordinary users have a little power too, to access a channel's ban rate for example, then we might know to be wary about dedicating ourselves as much to the channel, and perhaps not even to subscribe to that particular channel.

  18. Please add a feature that allows the Streamer to manually remove followers. Banning a user doesn't remove them from your followers list anymore. Users are still able to receive notifications of all of your activity, or in the case of stalkers and ban evaders, they just create new accounts to follow you around to receive these notifications and keep tabs on you.

  19. Given the widespread use of hostile bots on Twitch right now by bad actors, particularly those targeting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, it would be great if we could have a RegEx pattern block/ban/follow restriction option. A number of the accounts being spun up for the purpose of harassing and stealing the identities of streamers have consistent name patterns, and being able to issue a regex block/ban on those patterns would be useful.

This sort of feature would obviously be something that streamers would have to use at their own risk. Overly inclusive block/ban patterns could potentially limit legitimate viewers. But…

  20. Sponsored gambling streams should not be allowed on Twitch because of Twitch's policies and sponsored gambling streams effects.

On the twitch safety center it states that community comes first and safety is personal. Allowing sponsored gambling steams on twitch goes against these policies by not first helping the community but rather turning a blind eye to them, and not the safety of those viewers as they are being exploited for profit.

Not allowing sponsored gambling steams will stop exportation of viewers for profit. The website pays the content creator to gamble on their gambling platform. They do this to get…
