Clearly not clear
When content is clearly labelled as "adult content" and "contains nudity" from a pixelated game is banned and yet real humans can display nudity and suggestive posing is not banned, Twitch REALLY needs to reassess their views on societal norms and what is legal.
I was watching my friend, fellow streamer, and a channel I sub to when he got banned for playing a video game (Conan Exiles) because he was dressing his character (was nude) in battle armor- its a cartoon, an animation.
The moment he was banned in the Twitch recommended for me list was a well known streamer (whom I have never watched) who was completely naked and covered herself in body paint only. This is permitted and a naked cartoon is not?
The naked in real life streamer had 4,000 plus viewers, my friend who was banned mid stream had 14 at the time. I think it is these numbers that influence who gets banned and who doesnt more than anything else.
I mentioned I am a subscriber to the channel that was banned. By needlessly banning a channel clearly doing nothing wrong Twitch is denying me a product I have already paid for. I may explore civil litigation options over this.
So what my banned friend did was set up an account on a different streaming platform where pixelated nudity in a game sold legally isnt banned from broadcasts that in no way showed "sexual content". Nudity is allowed, sexual content is not, which brings us back to the real life naked streamer; her chat was very sexually explicit language. My friend who was banned, his chat was about armor values in combat for what to dress a cartoon character in.
So twitch, ya lost a good quality streamer today, not the first time and wont be the last unless TWITCH changes its values to reflect that of society and the law, not their bottom line.
