So twitch is pretty cool, but youtube has this feature where if you pause a stream, you can come back and just resume it from the same point.
So i suggest this feature for twitch: If you paused a stream while its live and then you resume the stream after some time when its offline, it should just automatically play the vod from the point you pressed pause.
Or just display the regular Stream offline screen but have a box that lets you click on it which says "Resume from last watching point" or something like that. That way you dont have to find the vod, then find the point you were watching (which can be hard if its hours long..) Think about it

While I am watching an old broadcast, usually the day or two after it happened, I want to catch up on a few things. I do not watch the entire thing, but usually skip along to key moments. I would appreciate a few different ways to know where to skip along the time track on bottom. For example, if there were markings along the bar that showed where clips were taken. This would let watchers know that something "big" happened there and worth stopping there along the skip. A "Next Clip" button with this could let the user skip along the video faster, but not missing most of the important moments. Not all clips are good or well done, but I can see promise in the idea. If there are too many clips, maybe show the highest viewed one by default and have a list of similar clips on side to watch that clip instead.

Other time bar options could similarly be done to mark the time bar, like a video curator where other re-watchers or current watchers can mark these important moments as they watch, like clipping, but just a time marker instead.

These could also be done in real time videos so that people, who watch after the broadcaster started, can go back to key moments/clips and catch up quickly to the live broadcast.

The value in this feature could be huge as most users probably do not watch the entirety of old VODs, but instead try to skip to some degree.

Live vs Reruns

i think it should be made cleared when a chanel is on a rerun, it shouldn't say "LIVE"
A way that i think they could help new streamers, or lew viewercount streamers overall is to have two subcategories, Live and Reruns.
this would let streamers that are live have a chance to grow.

on the asmr category it's getting out of hands the amount of reruns, youtubecompilations and bots. and we can't do anything about it too. i've reported multiple channels but they are still there, even getting into front page. it's sad to see how the essence of t
witch is getting lost.

Having Twitch Prime or Twitch Turbo really helps affiliates in that their videos on demand are stored for 60 days as opposed to 14 days. However if you are a Twitch Partner under the current system you don't get any video storage benefits as you are already given 60 days VOD storage. I think it would be more than fair to give Twitch Partners who have Twitch Prime or Twitch Turbo 90 days VOD Storage as opposed to 14 or 60. The additional 30 days worth of storage would give Twitch Partners a reason to pay for Twitch Prime or Twitch Turbo and not feel affiliates are getting a benefit that they unfairly are not getting.

In OBS Studio and Streamlabs OBS, the streamer is able to Stream on certain Audio Tracks, and Record on certain Audio Tracks. As more and more integration with the OBS' and Twitch comes alive, this should be something that can be done. To simply put it, as a Streamer, I could put my Microphone on Audio Track 1, my Gameplay on Audio Track 2, my Music on Audio Track 3, my Voice Comms on Audio Track 4, and my OBS Alerts on Audio Track 5. Then, in the Twitch Video Player, give the Viewer the option to select which of the Audio Tracks they would like to listen to. If they only want to hear the streamers voice, then they would turn off Audio Tracks 2 through 5, and keep Audio Track 1 open. If they wanted to listen to the game as well, they would enable Audio Tracks 1 and 2.

As a streamer who uses Voicemeeter Banana and VACs to split audio up, who also runs Song Requests from time to time, I know this is 100% possible and useful. Possible because there would be 5 different audio channels streaming to the website separately, so allowing a user to toggle which ones they want to listen to should be fairly simple. Useful because if I am running Song Requests on my stream, and someone really wants to watch my stream, but doesn't care for the background music, or wants to listen to their own while lurking, then they can have that ability.
