1. Add the ability to completely remove bots from your channel.

   For months upon months now I have been facing an issue with an increasing number of bots engaging in View Botting, Host Botting, and follow for follow economies, as well as a startling amount of Analytic Data gathering. It's absolutely disgusting that some of these bot channels are allowed to affiliate, and in one or two extreme cases (Hello, Commanderroot.) even are partners. It's frankly horrifying to me to see the analytic ones allowed to exist specifically.

   We need an ability to remove these things from our channel completely. Banning a bot doesn't do anything if it's still allowed to sit there and gather attention in your chat by existing. I've been accused of viewbotting by their very existence in my channel. But there's nothing I can do because banning a bot is worthless.

   These things gain attention by sitting in streams. Someone looks at the viewlist, takes a look a tthe random viewer doing nothing during downtime, finds the big ol' follow for follow and bot economy. Attention gained. These things damage the community by completely bypassing the point of trying to gain attention yourself as a streamer. It puts an unfair advantage on those who are willing to indulge in dubious, scrupulous activity to grow themselves.

   And most of all, some of these bots scare the **** out of me. There's been plenty of stories of accounts being hijacked, of malicious bots gathering data on streamers and viewers alike. I don't want to have to sit and see bots with an unknown purpose sitting in my channel for months on end during every stream wondering if it's doing something in the background that's going to harm myself or my viewers. I report them all the time to no avail. One of them is even partnered under Twitch and that is an enormous slap in the face to people struggling to grow under the mass of already well established streamers.

   Your lack of response to this is appalling, and we need our own solution to the growing number of bots if you are unwilling to do something about their growth yourself. Give us the ability to not just ban them from the chat, but to completely wall them off from rejoining to even view the chat and gather their data.

2. Regulate Affiliate releated Casino Game Streams

   Recently I've noticed that new only casino streamers are coming to Twitch every day and it concerns me:

   My concerns are:

   • They use Twitch.tv PRIMARY as their affiliate marketing channel.
   • They promise bonuses and campaigns for underage people and gambling addicts.
   • These streams provide FALSE impression of casino games.
   • Streamers who have deals with casinos play with unrealistic bonuses that normal people do not get.
   • Some (not all) streamers are even absolute scammers who play with fake accounts.
   • Streamers don´t give viewers realistic image of their affiliate or other casino connections.
   • Streamers don't provide enough information about dangers of gambling or age limitations in casinos. It's profitable for them if underage makes account to casino.

   This all concerns me. I don´t have anything against these people and I have nothing against casino games but recently these streams have gotten out of hand.

   There are too much ONLY affiliate based streams and Casino Staff streams. They give biased impression to viewers of Casino games.

   These streamers play thousands Euros each month with money that is only partly their own or not their own at all.
   They get big wins. It gives false image of casino games to viewers. People get idea that they can win big when their chances are slim or less.

   These streamers have so good affiliate deals that they deposit few hundred to get thousands to play with.
   Some streamers get directly paid from casinos and they use Casinos own money.

   Casino games are gambling. These streamers are NOT gambling in the same way they try to get their viewers to gamble.
   Their deal is so good that they have very slim chance to lose. Even if they lose, they lose less money than they get paid by their affiliate deal or casino.
   That is not gambling, that is marketing and their primary marketing tool is Twitch.TV. They are working to recruit new gamblers.

   Because they are not gambling, they do not provide realistic image of casino games.

   These streamers encourage people to create accounts to online casinos without telling that underage people won't be able to get their moneys or winnings withdrawn. How ever most of their viewers are underage.

   I ask Twitch.TV with all respect to consider some of these steps to issue this problem:

   • Ban all casino gaming
   • Make stream limitations for casino games ( 70% of streamers weekly stream hours should be something else than casino games)
   • Ban casino sponsored streams and affiliate marketing while streaming Casino Games
   • Make Casino streamers to make sure their viewers are 18yo or above.
   • Make Casino game streamers to publish their connection with casinos and their affiliate deals so viewers get realistic impression.
   • Make Casino streamers to provide information of gambling addiction and provide information where to get help.

3. Implement an ignored users list

   I would like Twitch to implement an ignored users list, accessible via settings page, with the ability to at least view the users that are currently on one's /ignore list. Bonus points for allowing us to also add/remove users from said list via the same page.

   I know this functionality is already available via third-party tools and it's not a high priority feature, would just like to see it on the road map if it isn't already.

4. please let us block gifs entirely

   I'd like to ask for blocking animated emotes and gifs be unlinked And that when one does choose to block gif that the gif image does not show at all in chat.

   i find gif images ruin the chatting experience.

5. Suspend people using context. And only suspend after a recent warning has been ignored..

   This is not a suspension appeal.

   I have been using this platform for over a decade now, and saw that a large streamer got banned recently for their commentary on stream. I want to point out how the current suspension flow is heavily lopsided toward playing it safe, and in doing so, hurts the platform by neglecting context and the way real users behave.

   As a major platform, it makes sense to play it safe to protect public image. However, the current flow used to reach this recent decision is actually hurting Twitch's public image due to neglecting the majority of users out there: those who know their influencers, actively consume such content, and perfectly understand the context of what they are watching. There is a reason political discussion is permitted and highly popular not only on Twitch but on all of social media. They are the new spaces to touch on issues that are actively distorted, misrepresented, or often even ignored by traditional news media. It is well known that trust in traditional news media has been at its lowest point in history for several years now. What resonates on all these platforms is commentators who are genuine and speak from the heart, and they should not be expected to act fake, or to never get emotional when speaking on major, pressing issues.

   I believe a more sensible suspension flow must understand context, and first issue a clear warning on such issues (with warnings resetting every few months, not a year-old warning leading to a recent ban). Only after a recent warning is violated should a ban like this ever happen.
   Again, the current flow does not actually save face for Twitch. This is clear with the massive uproar from real people all across the web after the recent decision. Insta-banning someone to stick to a safe-sounding ruleset kills the platform's credibility with the real, silent majority of users. And it immediately spreads like wildfire to a massive audience who learn about it on all other platforms. Yes, people who consume this type of content understand, and often even live through these intense political frustrations, and a lazy, ban-on-sight ruleset only ignores this majority to appease the loud minority.

   I saw a banner here which states that suspension appeals get removed. However, suspension requests do not get the same treatment. The vast majority of your audience is simply living their lives, not going around complaining, but your system rewards that small number of people who do. I want to make a difference by speaking on behalf of the majority that you are neglecting. A majority which I believe should be your primary focus, even if a small group rages on complaining. And I believe that a context-aware, recency-based warning system is the key to that.

6. Prevent Harassment through Channel Point Redemption Abuse

   It's getting more and more common for streamers to get harassed by bad actors who create burner accounts with offensive, foul, and sometimes even threatening names, and bypass all forms of chat moderation by simply redeeming a channel point redeeming and having their name appear in native twitch chat as "[threatening name] has redeemed _____"

   At this point there is literally no way to stop it. You cant remove the twitch message, you can't prevent it from being posted. Banning does nothing because you can only ban them post-redemption. And they'll just create another account and do it anyway.

   Chat moderation does not cover channel point redeems, and the current state of Twitch Account Creation allows these harassers to constantly create new burner accounts with threatening names and hang around a streamers channel to redeem stuff and ensure both you and your entire community reads their name. It's ridiculous.

   The only realistic way of handling this at the moment is pricing them out with expensive redeems, but that affects the enjoyment of the entire community since redeems now have to be ridiculously expensive.

   Please either

   1. Give us the more control over moderating channel point redeems. Something similar to chat moderation settings where we can specify a necessary follow time or channel status (e.g. Following for over 5 minutes, Subscriber) before viewers are allowed to chat. Allow us to do the same for channel point redeems.

   2. Make it so that the streamer can toggle on/off the grey "name has redeemed ______" in the native twitch chat.

   It's a simple fix. Either give us a way to control our own redeems, or make it so that these trolls don't get the satisfaction of seeing their name show up in chat and disrupt the whole stream.

7. Twitch Support is a pain to use

   Contacted Twitch support multiple time. had to explain multiple time the issue, always received a pre-made reply not linked to the issue.

   And no way to give Twitch feedback about it.
   Suggestion:
   Take a look at the workflow of twitch support.
   Give a tool to report bad support; to improve it

8. Prevent gifted subs to specific tiers

   I think streamers should be able to restrict certain tiers of subscriptions from being gifted. Many streamers I know restrict certain information to their higher tier subscribers and have certain rewards and conversations that are meant to be for people who want to support them more than a Tier 1 or Prime sub. I've personally seen a few instances of bad actors being gifted a Tier 3 subscription and abusing the perks involved to harass the streamer or leak sensitive information they should not have had access to. Some viewers think that they are supporting a streamer more by gifting higher tiers but this can allow random people who may act maliciously with their subscription benefits to enter the streamers community, when the alternative could just be giving the same amount of money with Bits. Please allow streamers to choose whether or not higher Tier subscriptions are able to be gifted. It would at least be helpful to prevent RANDOM gifted Tier 3 subscriptions, and to require a specific recipient be named.

10. Add Optional Auto-Bleep for Curse Words in Clips (Especially Vertical Clips)

    Hey Twitch team, First off—thank you for all the recent clipping tool upgrades! The new editing options and especially the vertical clips feature have been fantastic for creators

    That said, there’s just one small but high-impact addition that would make a huge difference: an optional auto-bleep for profanity

    Vertical clips are designed to be shared directly to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, etc., but even one swear word often gets them restricted, demonetized, or blocked entirely. That basically makes the clip unusable for cross-platform growth, even though the moment itself might be gold

    Proposed solution!

    Add a simple toggle in the clip creation/editing screen: “Auto-Bleep Swears.”
    When enabled, Twitch would automatically detect common curse words and replace them with a clean bleep sound effect while leaving the rest of the audio and visuals untouched

    Why this benefits creators AND Twitch? It dramatically increases the shareability and reach of clips created natively on Twitch from Streamers, AND their viewers for creators who enabled the share feature

    This would save creators from having to re-edit every clip in external software just to remove a single slip, which would dramatically increase off-site content sharing, and ultimately lead people back to Twitch to probably a much more significant degree

    It lets us keep the authentic, funny, “oops” moments that make streaming special—the bleep can even add comedic timing!

    This aligns perfectly with Twitch’s push to make clipping more powerful and creator-friendly

    We all try to watch our language, but live moments happen and sometimes the curse is exactly what makes the clip hilarious. An optional auto-bleep would solve the problem without forcing anyone to change their style

12. Stop promoting or collaborating with games that predators use.

    Twitch is currently promoting Roblox, a game which is used by predators to talk to children and has actively protected those predators. This promotion should never have been given the green light to happen and Twitch should investigate how it was allowed to happen and put in place more checks so it cannot happen again.

13. Those that are perma banned, should stay that way unless they have a legit reason to appeal.

    Streamer Nina Lin has streamed herself stealing from target. she then showed her "receipt" from that target store run. the alleged video showed her stealing a "Good & Gather Chuck Tender Steak along with another steak." her receipt showed she paid for Ground beef (aka GG Beef). she never paid for those two steaks totaling OVER $70 dollars. Some folks get banned for Less than this, and she's still able to come back and stream? You allowed her back to stream. You're basically low key saying "We condone shoplifting. it's not a big deal."

15. Further security measurement for safety (We really need this option)

    Dear Twitch Team,

    a group of Streamer/Youtuber streamsniping multiple streams on twitch and I quote "To make their life harder". This hateful conduct doesn't only take the fun of streaming, but also creating discomfort for whole chat by ruining the content.

    Banning those user is for sure an option and you can say "Stop Banned Users from Viewing Your Stream", but this feature is losing it's purpose as soon as they log out and watch "anonymously" or just with another browser. Therefore further action is needed for security measurements.

    Just give us the option "only logged in user can watch the stream". It doesn't has to be default thing, but as option everyone can choose for themselves if they want it activated or not.

    Otherwise, I really have no idea how you could stop anonymous streamsnipers.

17. Small Streamer Safety and Why I’m Quitting

    Hello,

    I want to share my experience as a small casual streamer and why I’ve decided to stop streaming on Twitch.

    I don’t stream for growth or money — I just like chatting with a few people who stumble across my channel. In the past, it was fine, but recently almost every interaction I’ve had has been negative or scam-related:

    Art scammer pretending to be a genuine viewer, moving to Discord, and trying to push AI-generated “portfolio” work.

    Harassment from another streamer who entered my chat, spammed questions, ignored my boundaries, and then harassed me with alt accounts, threatening to report me as a “bully.”

    Impersonation scam where someone created a Discord account with my name to try to trick my friend during a co-stream.

    As a small streamer with almost no viewers, these experiences make Twitch feel unsafe and unfriendly. I can handle low viewership — what I can’t handle is that the only people engaging with me are scammers or harassers.

    I’m writing this because I think Twitch should be aware that this is driving people like me away from the platform. At minimum, small streamers need better protections and tools to filter out bad actors without cutting themselves off from potential genuine viewers.

    For me, the fun is gone, and I’ve decided to quit streaming here.

    I want to share my experience as a small casual streamer and why I’ve decided to stop streaming on Twitch.

    I don’t stream for growth or money — I just like chatting with a few people who stumble across my channel. In the past, it was fine, but recently almost every interaction I’ve had has been negative or scam-related:

18. Phone Verification Blocks Chat Site-Wide – Even With Real Number

    Since early April, my account has been completely blocked from chatting in all Twitch channels due to a forced phone verification prompt, even though I’ve never been suspended or banned.

    I attempted to verify using a real mobile number (not VOIP or landline), but Twitch either doesn't accept it or fails to send the SMS code. I’ve followed all instructions.

    I sent multiple emails to Twitch Support, but from April until late May, all I received were automated responses repeating the same instructions. It wasn’t until much later that I was told my account was possibly “flagged”, with no context, reason, or recourse offered.

    I’m a moderator for some streamers, and being unable to chat, except through channel point highlights, has been embarrassing, isolating, and unfair.

    I’m asking Twitch to allow manual appeals for chat verification restrictions, actual human reviews, and a more transparent process. Users should not be left in the dark or punished by automated systems with no support.

19. Delete Whisper Messages

    I would like Twtich to add a simple "remove/delete whipser message" function that removes a message you sent in whispers to someone so the other person can't see it anymore. Almost all other forms of direct messages have this and it makes no sense why Twitch whispers wouldn't have it too. For privacy resons if nothing else.
