1. Twitch After Dark 18+ Category

   Allow nudity or at least partial nudity like other social media apps like Twitter,Instagram, YouTube ect. The majority of Twitch users are now over 18 years old according to recent data (Links Below), and adding 18+ content could expand user base IMO

   As for users under 18, Twitch can add strict age verification rules, All Korean streaming sites already do this & 18+ content can be demonetized like YouTube does with adult content, if advertisers have a problem with their ads running on any of the content. Also it's important to note that apps like Twitter have had full nudity & even full sexual content on their platforms for years and it doesn't seem to draw any negative attention from advertisers or the public. I think it's also important to note that Twitch already has many streamers that have such Twitter content linked in their Twitch Bios & most users & advertisers appear fine with it.

   We also know that Twitch considered making a new mature tag or category before (Links Below), however we have never heard any updates.

2. Twitch Vods uploaded on youtube by somebody else

   Hello,

   I recetnly found my twitch content (my VODs) on youtube uploaded not by me and it seems i am not the only one.

   Is there anything twitch could provide to help getting that content down? I already filed a copyright strike. One of my problems is that some of the VODs are not up on my channel anymore.

   I can also not see any option to contact the support with this question. maybe a short answer (no matter if it is "we cannot help" or "do this") would be helpfull in the FAQ.

   Hello twitch,

   Please start enforcing your community guidelines rules regarding gambling as outlined in the October 18th 2022 disclosure. For some reason you choose to ban sites such as "stake" and "rollbit", but allow others that are much worse such as "punt".

   The October 18th post states that Twitch will "prohibit any streaming of listed sites that contain slots, roulette, and dice games and are unlicensed in the U.S.", yet the site "punt" is not only illegal in the United States, but they also have no KYC, meaning anyone of any age can play on the site.

   Please add this site to the prohibited sites list.

4. Warning/Reporting option for users who break Kayfabe

   Vtubers and others who wish to hide potential past lives or the like often post such rules in their channels, which are almost always ignored by others who don't care about the legitimate reasons for wanting to start anew or not have any of their information be leaked online. At least the ability to send a private warning to other users for flagrant breaches of privacy and then a ban request if they continue to ignore it would be much appreciated.

5. gambling

   Unregulated CSGO gambling. I don't think unregulated gambling should be allowed on twitch and neither should affiliated gambling. Affiliated gambling codes gives creators a small percentage of what their viewers loose on the gambling website to the creator as a reward for their viewers signing up and loosing money. A lot of streamers don't even use their own money on these websites when gambling live on stream, instead the website loads their account with money and lets them gamble with no finical risk, but at the same time these streamers are telling viewers to use these unregulated gambling website and use their creator codes when depositing their real money on to them. Problem gamblers have the highest suicide rate of any addiction disorder, 1 in 5 problem gamblers attempt suicide. Streamers that gamble live on twitch don't usually have a 18+ stream enabled which means they are broadcasting gambling to minors which can cause early gambling habits to underage viewers. Also these gambling sites don't verify age or identity of users which makes it possible for underage persons to create accounts and illegally gamble while being underage or in a state where gambling is illegal. This is a serious problem as it can lead to addiction, financial problems and eventually suicide for twitch viewers. This is becoming such a large problem on twitch and I really hope twitch will do something about this so less of their underage audience isn't exposed to illegal unregulated gambling.

6. Music/DJ Streamers should not get copyright claims on VODs. Period.

   I'm so sick of fighting off 15 copy right claims and losing half the set I played for VRChat last night. I fill out all your paper work just for the sections to stay muted. It's unfair and unethical for DJs since we naturally use other peoples music for our sets. Now I have to record my sets in obs or switch to youtube. I already swapped to VRCDN as my main streamer and restream to twitch because your ad breaks are unpleasant for DJ Sets in VR.

   I know nothing will change, I just needed to vent because every single DJ has to fight back and we're sick of the copyright claims.

7. ilegal casinos still running and twitch is closing the eyes on their own TOS's..

   I have previously submitted reports on over 20+ Portuguese streamers and Iive streams who are engaging in the use of unregulated, illegal casinos in Portugal. Some even demonstrate how to employ a VPN to circumvent country restrictions. Unfortunately, Twitch seems to be disregarding these reports and continues to permit these streamers to promote and participate in these illicit and fraudulent casino activities. It's disheartening.

   Apparenty the "trick" to not be banned is not saving the VOD or clips....

   Can you guys start applying the TOS's ?..

8. Prevent banned users from DM'ing the streamer

   Several users that have been banned in the channel I mod for ignore the unban request feature and DM the streamer directly. This has always been an incredibly toxic interaction and really defeats the purpose of banning someone in the first place. Banned chatters shouldn't be able to DM the streamer of a channel they're banned from.

9. Bloqueo de IP de usuarios indeseados en nuestros canales

   Si los streamers BLOQUEAMOS (no baneamos, BLOQUEAMOS) un usuario, se debería bloquear directamente su IP de nuestro canal.
   Soy sistemáticamente acosada sexualmente por un usuario puntual. Pude bloquearlo en plataformas como Discord y allí no puede volver a entrar porque el sistema bloquea su IP. En Twitch, por el contrario, se crea múltiples cuentas cada vez que transmito y me siento violentada e insegura, al punto que no quiero volver a transmitir porque me causa ansiedad. Crear cuentas en la plataforma es muy sencillo y eso está bien, pero deben brindarnos seguridad.

10. Ability to upload/add police reports and screenshots to appeals

    Streamers being targeted, spam reported and subsequently banned due to their gender, sexuality, race, etc. should be allowed to add supporting documentation to their ban appeal(s)

    Ex: if a streamer is reported and banned due to "inappropriate attire" but, prior to the report, the streamer was clearly harassed, threatened or hate raided on stream or in their DM's prior to the report/ban by the very person or persons that reported them, then they (the streamer) should be allowed to attach documents which show they were harassed/targeted.

    Hate groups and their members, and some horrible individuals are abusing the 'report user' feature and utilizing it as a means to unjustly harass, deplatform, demonetize and silence streamers based on their gender, race, sexual orientation, etc. If it can be shown that the person or persons reporting a streamer threatened or harassed the streamer prior to making their report, then the ban should be lifted immediately and the individual filing the report, should be banned instead.

    Because this is a growing trend, and abuse of the report user feature has run rampant, streamers, even when banned, should be allowed access to view and download their DM's, VODs, or chat logs so they can provide local law enforcement (and/or Twitch staff) with documents which substantiate any reports they would like to file concerning threats of violence/****/murder/stalking/hate crimes or sexual harassment.

    Several streamers have been targeted and harassed by those on your platform who abuse the 'report user' button to file false reports, and their actions go unpunished. There is an entire Twitter account dedicated to seeing who they can get wrongfully banned and deplatformed, a majority of those they focus on/target and celebrate being banned are women, men of color, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. They literally celebrate their "victories" in using Twitch's faulty bans and appeals systems to get "another _____ banned" it's disgusting.

    The more that women, POC and LGBTQ+ are removed and banned from Twitch, the more these hate groups and their followers will thrive, and it will kill your community, your earnings, and your site.

    Seeing hate groups and racist or misogynistic individuals celebrate online every time they get a female streamer or streamer of color wrongfully banned, watching them brag about who has successfully gotten the most POC or woman or lesbians off the platform, and knowing they used Twitch's own features and faulty system to do it...it's heartbreaking.

    Reporting and banning creators based on their gender, gender identity or race has become a sport to some of your users, and those targeted and banned by these monsters are left with absolutely no voice.

    Individuals affiliated with hate groups are exploiting your faulty report, ban and appeals systems. Meanwhile, your creators, that ones that were actually bringing money to your platform, suffer. POC, women and those in the LGBTQ+ community who were banned unjustly have no means to access their DM's, Chat Logs, etc. and no place in the appeal portal to upload proof to show they were targeted, harassed, or threatened by those reporting them. There's not even a place to attach a police report if you filed on against a person known to harass and report you... you're silencing the victims of hate crimes and targeted attacks, and believing every user that files a report not realizing it's being used as a means to hurt the streamer for no other reason than who they are.

    These hate groups and the individuals that support them will report streamers for things they have not done--yet filing a false report or spam reporting comes with no consequences, why? Currently, the report, ban, and appeals systems are designed in a way where banned streamers can't see who reported them, they can't provide evidence of harassment or threats leading up to the report, their appeals often go unread, and bans/strikes on their account that are unfounded never get removed, all this is simply encouragement for members of hate groups or individuals targeting people based on race/gender, to continue doing what they are doing, their attacks are successful and as such, they won't stop. It's a loophole that these individuals and members of extremist or hate groups, are exploiting rapidly.

    Streamers who have been repeatedly targeted and victims of spam reporting do not get their wrongfully issued bans reset or removed, and their appeals often go unanswered or denied--leaving them with several strikes against their account for violations they did not commit. After 2 or 3 attacks, hate raids or false reports, these streamers are permabanned, simply for being a POC, female, or member of the LGBTQ+ community on Twitch at a time where it's far too easy for hate groups to target streamers, harass them, threaten them and then get them banned unfairly.

    Adding an option that would allow streamers to show proof in their appeal that they were targeted, that the person(s) responsible for reporting them have been repeatedly threatening/harassing/targeting them and/or abusing the report user feature to file false reports against them and others, would be a huge step forward in showcasing that you truly support and value your streamers, ALL of them, not just the big ones or those who are buddy buddy with staff. . .

    It's also imperative that streamers who are banned not be immediately locked out of their account/DM's (as this is essentially preventing them from collecting, downloading or screenshotting evidence of harassment, sexual harassment, or threats of violence) there must be a way to prevent reported streamers from streaming if banned, while also allowing them access to important documents which can substantiate their claims and reports, such as DM's, Chat Logs, Clips or Stills that support not only their appeal but any reports they wish to file with local law enforcement if they feel unsafe--which often times, they do.

    Taking that right away, preventing a targeted, harassed, or threatened streamer from immediately obtaining Dm's, Chat Logs, VOD's or other documents on your site, which may help with properly reporting or identifying those harassing or threatening acts of violence against them and/or others, is unconscionable.

    Nothing should impede a streamers ability to obtain evidence of threats or harassment and file a report with local law enforcement, especially not a false report made by a hate group or member of, that was made merely to target, deplatform or demonetize a streamer due to their gender, race, or sexual orientation.

    It's important when filing a report with law enforcement to have as much information as possible, but the ability to do that is taken away from the victim/targeted streamer when they are immediately locked out of their account, without any proof. You are essentially punishing streamers and rewarding users that filing false reports with the system you have in place now, they know this, and as such, continue to utilize this practice. They are aware of the fact that once the streamer is banned, they can do nothing to report them, stop them, obtain information needed to file a report with LEO's, nothing, so they make threatening/hateful comments until the moment they get the streamer banned, and face zero repercussions.

    Fostering an environment where hate groups and their supporters are allowed to thrive, file false reports repeatedly without consequence, and succeed in getting streamers banned due to their race, gender, religion, etc. is against the very values Twitch claims to hold dear. As it stands, your actions and policies, or lack-thereof, do not support your values.

    There must be a better review process in place for bans and appeals, because at this time, hate groups are taking advantage of this loophole/issue to ensure that women, POC, and those in the LGBTQ+ community are silenced and no longer able to stream--if we don't take action now, this will only continue to fester and grow, getting worse as time goes on.

    It's not just about fostering a community of inclusiveness, but revenue is impacted as well, while these small-ish streamers being targeted may not seem like a big deal because they don't garner the impressive numbers big streamers do, they do add up, just one streamer that is wrongfully permabanned due to targeted attacks that has say 50k followers, generating an average 4k in revenue a month (not including ads), is a consistent 2k that you are wiping out, when you account for how many are banned due to targeted attacks, and an inability to state their case and challenge their appeals properly, you're talking tens if not hundreds of thousands a month in revenue slipping through your hands--you are hemorrhaging money by allowing a system which permabans streamers that garner steady views and generate consistent revenue on your site. Doing nothing to stop hate groups and their members who work to get those bringing income to your site removed--is and will continue to be, a hinderance in your earnings. Why continue to cater to those that aren't bringing money to the site by implementing a system which rewards them for targeting streamers and filing false reports? An improved ban/appeals system to combat this issue would improve revenue and the community as a whole.

12. Soviet and Stalinist symbology

    I am trying to understand how it is possible that promotion, glorification and usage of Stalinist and Soviet imagery and symbology on stream is not banned under the user guidelines I quote at the end of this post. In many countries in Europe, especially Baltic states, Poland etc. Stalinist and Soviet symbology is treated the same way as Nazi symbology and for a good reason - it is a hateful ideology of an authoritarian regime that was historically committing crimes against humanity against its neighbours and its own population - I am not for censorship overall but if we are banning some hateful content, why an exception like this is being made?

    Posting, uploading, or otherwise sharing hateful images or symbols, including symbols of established hate groups and Nazi-related imagery.

    Speech, imagery, or emote combinations that dehumanize or perpetuate negative stereotypes and/or memes.

    Content that expresses inferiority based on a protected characteristic, including, but not limited to, statements related to physical, mental, and moral deficiencies.

13. Very unsatisfied with Twitch customer communication and actioning of reports

    Hello,

    I recently had an awful experience on Twitch that makes me uninterested in further using the service. This does involve a suspension, but please give me a chance to explain, it is not my goal to evade said suspension.

    On March 17th I reported a user for sending me a NSFW **** link in my private messages. It was actioned on the same day, then exactly 7 days later on March 24th I was suspended very suddenly for allegedly sharing "sexually explicit content in public or private messages".

    At this time I have served the suspension and would like to voice some problems that I'm having here:

    1.) the message that I reported and that was actioned on March 17th is still absolutely visible in my private messages, Twitch took absolutely no initiative to delete this link

    2.) Communication is really hard, I'm a big user of Amazon and they have incredible customer support. It is hard to believe that the level of communication available on Twitch is associated with Amazon. All I've wanted to do was ask some questions to a representative to understand this situation better.

    3.) When you issue a suspension, please include the exact content that was reported and actioned and display it to the suspended user. It is extremely vague to say "in public or private messages" but oh wait the message was possibly deleted and we don't have any examples for you. I personally would like to learn from my actions, if something to that extent gets me suspended.

    4.) I understand that on a platform like this you get people who will be absolutely ruthless and have no decency, but please give people a chance to converse with your support team. When I disputed my suspension, it was instantly rejected and I was labeled as "evading". All I wanted to do was ask some questions.

    With this in mind and the fact that the message I reported/that got actioned is still available to be clicked in broad daylight, I'm lead to believe that I was falsely suspended. It would be unbelievable if, after all of this pain and frustration, someone at Twitch clicked wrong and suspended me instead of the person I reported.

    If Twitch had customer support that was anything like Amazon's, this would have been a better experience. But in the end I'm left with unanswered questions and a lot of frustration that leads me to be uninterested in further using the service.

14. Would like to see "ear licking" removed from the ASMR tag.

    Ear licking is part of the sexual act, and the reason most listeners are listening is, among other things, to masturbate.
    Some people say it's "very good for sleep induction," but if you look at the texts of those who are chatting enthusiastically from the beginning to the end of the stream, you know it's not true (even if it's an "unattended live stream" with just looping audio, lol).
    And if someone's stream is off-camera, there is no way to distinguish between ear-licking and blow-job sounds, and if they show an illustration of ***** enlarged to fill the screen, you can tell that the purpose is to blatantly masturbate the viewer.

    As stated in the guidelines, even if there is no visual image, if the audio is recognizable, it should be considered a prohibited act.
    If there are operators who are not sure how to respond when they receive a report, the prohibited acts should be clearly stated so that they do not make the wrong decision.

17. Music in streams isn't recognized correctly

    Not an Idea but pain in the a** for me. I didn't find any other way to report this issue. The problem is that twitch algorithm doesn't recognize music playing in my streams correctly so I am getting muted all the time in my videos. Recognized song isn't even close to what I am actually playing.
    For now I have to fill out appeal every time I finish my stream but this is no really a way for me. So Twitch please fix your stuff.

    channels blocked still have me under as a recommended streamer on their account. i want to be removed as a recommendation and to have no affiliation with their channel whatsoever.

19. Better saftey features that don't reduce growth or drive people from your channel

    out FROM TIME TO TIME) here, on twitch.... so 3 things

    1: I hate having follower-only and verified accounts ON ( it turns people away right quickly.)

    (which btw the way you have it set up is highly illegal, you have to by law accept google voice/ prepaid because both require a real identity BE attached, BUT HAVE STRICTER PRIVACY LAWS ATTACHED to who can see it)

    ( and since i want my autism to emote communication form)

    the safety features you have are not effective at all. i still get fake chatbot scanners( they transmit data to spam bots if you get low replys to their three basic questions, then I get a lot of buy followers spam still. so there is no way to keep the spam and trolls out and still grow my channel

    2nd while looking for a chatbot that installs answer a captcha
    ( or other forms of proving realism that spam bots can't actually do yet),
    ( select a free sound alert to play to prove you are real or select the better ttv to emote etc from a user's better tv channel)

    you should really look into a chat safety feature like that>>>

    the 3rd thing is I found many of spam bots people
    ARE USING because their code is listed on GIT HUB.
    YOU SHOULD PROBABLY CONTACT THEIR ADMINISTRATORS AND HAVE THEM HAVE THOSE TAKEN DOWN.

20. I cannot know whether or not I should appeal something without evidence of what actually happened.

    I was recently suspended with the option to appeal. Problem is, I can’t appeal something if I can’t see what I was suspended for.

    I was not sent any proof of what I was suspended for. How am I supposed to appeal something if I am not given proof of what happened?

    For example “You are suspended. Appeal here.”

    “Appeal what? What did I do that needs to be appealed?”

    Was there a legit nip slip that obviously does not warrant an appeal? Cheap clothing can sometimes be too thin. Is there a particular outfit I was wearing that was more transparent than I realized? Was it about transparency or nip slips at all or was it about something else entirely? Is it offensive to have hard nipples when it is cold?? Rock hard nipples can be seen THROUGH my bra and shirt and even my sweater… Is that a suspendible offense??

    Maybe I don’t actually NEED to appeal something after reviewing the evidence. But without evidence, THERE IS NOTHING TO APPEAL.

    I can’t tell what I was suspended for because I was not sent a screenshot or clip of the offensive outfit or action…

    Which outfit should I not wear again? Which position should I not make the mistake of moving into? How can I correct my outfits/actions when I don’t know which particular outfit/action caused the suspension?

    The suspension notification I received on Twitch when I tried to log in was too vague for me to be able to decide whether or not I need to appeal.

    Why was I not sent an email notification about this suspension, and when I sent an appeal saying “what even happened” why did I not receive an email notification that I had made an appeal??

    If I am able to see a clip or screenshot of what I was suspended for and I see that there had been something like a shadow in an inopportune place, or an actual stain on my shirt, I can appeal and say “hey that actually was not a nip slip but a shadow/stain.” But if I can see that there WAS ACTUALLY a nip slip or something other, I do not have a need to appeal because the evidence is there.

    I have streamed many videos with many outfits, but was suspended for “inappropriate outfit”.

    How do I know which outfit I should not wear again or which position I should not move into to prevent an accidental and unnoticed nip slip from happening again if I am not sent a clip or screenshot of the offense? Or maybe I’m completely on the wrong track and it was not a nip slip OR the outfit, but something I was not aware was offensive at all unless I am shown and told specifically what it was?

    Since the videos were deleted by Twitch, I cannot review them to see what happened. I may stream for fifteen hours in a day, and I don’t remember exactly what happened at what day or time without a screenshot or clip of the offensive video.

    You cannot make an appeal without evidence. You cannot offer to allow me to make an appeal without sending me evidence of what may or may not need to be appealed.

    This is simple law. The prosecutor needs to show proof that the offender offended or there is no case. The offender cannot plead guilty or not guilty to an offense without evidence of what the offense was. Without evidence there can be no plea.
