1. Update guidelines to expressly FORBID saying Subs/Bits will go to Charity. Force use of direct funding services

   This ticket can be under Charity, Legal and Moderation categories

   There has been TOO many incidents where creators have said that funds from Sus and Bits will go to charity, their moderation teams, etc.

   Twitch needs CLEAR guideline updates to discourage this behavior as its gray area scamming their communities in the fact that end users buy bits, or gift subs and Twitch takes a cut of those funds, and the charities the creators say they are supporting NEVER see those funds.

   Any mention of Charity if on stream, in chat, in shared chat, in social media posts or other platforms should be forced to go through the approved 3rd party services like Extralife, Tiltify which give funds DIRECTLY or use the Twitch Charity tool which uses Paypal Giving to send funds direct to the intended charity by turning the sub button into a donate link (using charity tool BITS and Extensions that use Bits should be disabled if creators want to raise for charity & still take tips for themselves then they should use a 3rd party tips service that has clear separate links and clear text saying what each support form is going to)

   This same policy should apply to if funds are going to Moderators on behalf of the creator & potentially a tool similar to the charity tool should be created to make this happen so there is 100% transparency to the end users who in every case have gotten defrauded for their kindness.

   There have been countless creators that have said this and countless more incidents of those funds NEVER getting to charity. This is just veiled Charity Fraud and Twitch can be held liable for the "added" funds along with the creators making those claims in some regions of the world.

   Charities deserve better!! Making clear Brightline rules around Charity on the platform will ensure all parties are playing by normalized rules with clear language and penalties on breaking those guidelines.

   Pirate Software Hype Train funds (50% subs/bits going to mods when part of bits could go to extension creators and 30% uf subs go to Twitch) and Ironmouse/Vshojo charity (all subs/bits go to charity where a managment agency was actually taking those funds and never 1) donated 2) compensated for the Twitch/Bits users charges or Bits extension creator % cut) and numerous other cases are a few examples of where more clarification and clearer guidelines are needed.

2. Bring back the old mobile stream manager

   Please bring back the old mobile stream manager (mobile live dashboard), where during your stream you can view twitch stats above the chat panel so you can monitor twitch viewer count, uptime, and chat at the same time. This is a necessary feature for those who don't have multiple monitors and can't alt tab during gameplay.

   The current stream manager only allows you to view chat on its own panel, with a stream preview playing on top that only shows viewer count if you tap on it. It would be better to have the twitch stats tracker replace this stream preview block like before and keep the stream preview on the creator dashboard instead of in the stream manager. Or have it somewhere else, instead of taking away the twitch stats tracker (the element that shows the uptime, viewer count, followers).

3. Phone Verification Blocks Chat Site-Wide – Even With Real Number

   Since early April, my account has been completely blocked from chatting in all Twitch channels due to a forced phone verification prompt, even though I’ve never been suspended or banned.

   I attempted to verify using a real mobile number (not VOIP or landline), but Twitch either doesn't accept it or fails to send the SMS code. I’ve followed all instructions.

   I sent multiple emails to Twitch Support, but from April until late May, all I received were automated responses repeating the same instructions. It wasn’t until much later that I was told my account was possibly “flagged”, with no context, reason, or recourse offered.

   I’m a moderator for some streamers, and being unable to chat, except through channel point highlights, has been embarrassing, isolating, and unfair.

   I’m asking Twitch to allow manual appeals for chat verification restrictions, actual human reviews, and a more transparent process. Users should not be left in the dark or punished by automated systems with no support.

   Twitch user reports should be kept confidential, and Twitch staff should not disclose reporter's identities to streamers to protect users from potential retaliation and maintain a safe reporting environment. If streamers know who reported them, they might harass those users directly or through their communities, deterring users from reporting legitimate violations due to fear of being identified. Create a dedicated reporting form accessible via the Twitch platform (web and app) that does not require users to log in or reveal identifiable information. Replace the current reporting system, which may tie reports to user accounts, with an option for fully anonymous submissions. Users can access the form through a “Report Anonymously” button on streams, profiles, or chat interfaces. To prevent abuse of anonymous reporting, restrict the number of reports a single user, device, or IP address can submit within a specific time frame. This prevents individuals or bots from flooding the system with false or repetitive reports, which could overwhelm moderators or target specific streamers.To prevent abuse, require users to complete a CAPTCHA (e.g., image selection or text input) before submitting an anonymous report, verifying that the reporter is not a bot. Additionally, if a streamer receives an unusually high volume of reports in a short time, implement a cooldown period during which additional reports are queued rather than processed immediately.

8. Option to Restrict Streams to Logged-In Viewers Only (Swatting Prevention)

   Hello Twitch Team,

   I’d like to suggest a feature that could greatly improve streamer safety:

   ➤ Please add an option that allows streamers to make their livestreams only visible to logged-in users.

   This is particularly important for protecting creators from Swatting, doxxing, stalking, and anonymous harassment. At the moment, anyone can watch a public stream without even having a Twitch account, which makes it easy for people with bad intentions to remain completely anonymous while gathering information.

   In serious cases like Swatting – which has affected many creators – this lack of control over who can watch the stream is a real danger.

   Importantly, Twitch already has functionality to block users from watching a stream, which shows that some access control is technically possible. But right now, there’s no way to block guest (non-logged-in) viewers, which leaves a major security gap.

   A simple toggle like:
   “Stream only viewable by logged-in users”
   would be a huge improvement for streamer safety and peace of mind.

   Please consider this suggestion seriously – it could help prevent real-world harm.

10. Reports and Bans of scam accounts needs updating (hardware bans over IP bans)

    There needs to be a bigger fight against spam and scam accounts for twitch users. as a very small streamer, nothing is more annoying than finally getting a viewer or follower after hours of streaming just to get a msg with a link to buy viewers or an ask to be added on discord (to data mine or scam off of twitch, hoping to evade account bans on twitch). There's thousands of them, acounts created every hour for this exact purpose almost exclusively coming from pakistan or nigeria (based on twitch's own viewer data in the stream summary). Theres got to be a better way to track these accounts and ban them before they continue to scam anyone who doesnt know enough abotu online safety, IP tracking/bans, hardware tracking/bans, literally anything. Its genuinely one of the most frusterating things for small streamers as we can stream for hours with little to no interaction and then later find out 90% of the interaction we did get was from scammers who couldve EASILY been dealt with before they got to our channels. Ive had 4 in the last HOUR ive been live as of posting this, all accounts created within the last 3 hours. Even the auto moderation monitors them for "suspected ban evader", it knows but wont do anything until i physically report EVERY.SINGLE.ONE.

    Please twitch team, think of some way to better fix this reporting and ban system so it can create a healthier twitch user experience for your smaller streamers (which is about 99% of your userbase)

11. no incognito allowed

    I have hackers and trolls that snipe my stream. Whenever possible I ban them. Many after ban watch my stream incognito (no login) and continue to terrorize. I can not see them let alone report or ban them. Is there a way to only allow people who have signed in to twitch to see my stream. I understand this may impact my visibilty but this behavior has been going on for quite a while. Love a box to check for this option. TYSM

12. Picture-in-Picture stream quality keeps degrading

    Hi, first of all thanks for adding the native picture-in-picture mode option recently.

    However it still has some quirks it appears. When I switch a stream into picture-in-picture mode, resize it, and then switch the tab it doesn't take long and it will be in very bad video quality until I switch back to the twitch tab.
    This shouldn't happen as the stream is literally on the screen the entire time. Probably the website thinks I backgrounded the stream and I'm not able to see it, as when it isn't switched into picture-in-picture mode and "just" directly backgrounded when one only wants to listen to the audio for a while and then switch back after a while.

    Edit: Could confirm this working hypothesis using the Chrome Browser Dev Tools using the "Emulate a focused page" option. Once enabled the quality no longer degrades. So this appears to be what causes the issue here.

13. Fighting against viewbotting. Needing your help

    I've been attacking viewbotting services for a few years now. It's not like Twitch or Amazon are going to lift a finger but even without their help I've still made some massive strides:

    1- So far I've got Streamboo out of the TUCOWS servers and they've been relegated to the Chinese servers (NICENIC) after a brief temporary installment on the ADMINVPS servers.

    2- I've previously chased Dogehype out of the NAMECHEAP servers operating in Europe (Iceland) but they've returned again and NameCheap is, once again, supplying scammers with websites.

    3- I'm attempting to get the NEZHNA ones dealt with on the DYNADOT servers with some difficulty. Dynadot doesn't seem willing to sever ties with the scammers.

    4- I got BooViewers shut down on the CUTTLY mirror services.

    5- Similarly, I got BuyFollows shut down on the CUTTLY mirror services.

    I'm really sorry about the massive bot slaughter of Jun/Jul last year. I was exploring ways to get Amazon's insurance "adjusted" to reflect that Amazon was doing nothing in regards to attacks on their assets. I believe my inquiries resulted in a massive purge of many bots proving that Amazon DID actually do something. I might have inadvertently killed a lot of genuine bots by making requests for Amazon's insurance details. The timing is too coincidental to ignore.

    I'm keen to keep fighting but what I need is screenshots from the chats of the offending bots. I don't need to know where the bot was seen (protect your streamer).

    If you see one, please screenshot it and send it to me. I'm targeting the hosts of the scammers. Once the server owner realises that they're actually assisting in the attacks against Amazon (with a net worth bigger than Brazil's entire GDP) they seem to drop the scammers as customers.

    It's working. I'm getting results but I need more intel for the fight. You can tag @Gradgar on BlueSky (or just add them to my pinned post) or send them to my Reddit inbox of the same name.

    It's like I said, Twitch and Amazon aren't going to lift a finger in this. They don't care if you get scammed and they want the community to clean up their mess.

14. remove automatic penalization bot altogether

    too annoying to work with either unfair or nonsensical penalizations like: shadowban, full ban or suspend people for things that either never happened or was misinterpreted by bots algorithms. bots should NEVER handle tasks designed for human brains. HIRE REAL PEOPLE!

15. Delete Whisper Messages

    I would like Twtich to add a simple "remove/delete whipser message" function that removes a message you sent in whispers to someone so the other person can't see it anymore. Almost all other forms of direct messages have this and it makes no sense why Twitch whispers wouldn't have it too. For privacy resons if nothing else.

16. Stacking Subscriptions

    I’d like to request a feature that allows users to stack gifted subs onto other users who already have an active subscription.

    For example:
    
    Dan is a viewer in a live stream; he is being a great community member. As another viewer I want the ability to reward him by paying for a month of his sub (or several months)

    Here is how it could work:
    • Done through the user card in chat
    • The streamer receives their normal value on the day that the "resub" occurs
    • The recipient (Dan) is emailed / notified that “You’ve received a future month of subscription courtesy of Harper/ anonymous.”
    • Random gift subs would still function as they currently do by going to unsubscribed viewers.
    • The recipient saves money possibly encouraging him to stay subscribed longer. X dollars (possibly allowing him to subscribe longer)

    This creates a win-win-win situation:
    • Recipient feels appreciated.
    • Streamer gets continued support.
    • Twitch retains an engaged viewer and subscriber.

    A setting that would allow a user or streamer with epilepsy or light sensitivity to block or disable the animations for emotes that strobe or flash rapidly in their chat. Emotes like steaks19Crazypotato may be merely annoying when one or two are posted but become painful (and dangerous) when spammed.

18. Enforce Verified Accounts Only chat by default

    New streamers are plagued by bad actors looking to scam and manipulate them. I suggest that "Verified Accounts Only" mode is enabled by default for all new accounts, with the option to turn it off manually should the streamer want to to do so. This should deter most of these bad actors who constantly ban evade with new accounts.

19. Clear and fair rules for bodyartists!

    Just wanted to talk about being a bodyartist and how it has affected me immensely on this platform. Hoping that twitch support can provide fair and non-misogynistic rules for all. As many of you may know many years ago (7+) Twitch has invited the first bodyartist Kaypike to the platform to express art/creativity in a new non-sexual way. But within the past couple years being a body artist and displaying this creativity as a woman has not only come with a lot of hate and poor moderation of the viewers harasssing the streamers but even the guidelines for bodyart has become very unfair. Bodyart is supposed to be a fun creative expression of ourselves and is very EDUCATIONAL! it definitely is not meant to be sexual and I do understand many streamers have ruined that opportunity as of current. But that means that instead of supressing the women doing bodyart without ill-intent, there should be more moderation of the content creators looking to abuse the art of it. Currently the guidelines say that you need the "sexual themes" tag if you are painting your chest and present as a female, which is definitely very sexist if you ask me. Us women cannot change our anatomy at birth and we need more fairness here. I had got a warning from twitch a few montha back becayse I did not want to be deemed as sexual so I thought it was okay to wear a shirt and still do some body art, nope! Apparently wearing a shirt they still saw it as sexual which is not okay? I am painting for the ART and not for sexual enjoyment of the brushes! Would love for more clarification. Not only does this affect us amazing female artists but it also impacts the revenue of Twitch because of the blurred thumbnails and lack of ad revenue. In the pas I can gladly say I have had multiple game sponsorships that loved my bodyart cosplays! The "Sexual Themes" classification of body art to me seems totally wrong and I would love to see what the TOS staff have to say about it. Because as of right now filming twerking/pole dancing or nude statues does not need the sexual tag, but body ART does? It has art in the name and is very educational as people love to watch the process and learn art/cosplay! I would love to feel more welcome on the platform doing what I enjoy! So my idea is to hopefully have more moderation for bodyart but less restriction and no sexual labels as that undermines us as amazing artists! If at the very least please don't consider wearing a top and painting upper chest as sexual. Would love for you guys to rid the rule about needing the sexual tag for presenting women as that seems very unfair/inappropriate. We wear pasties, bottoms and paint! Being a woman should not be a problem. Thank you! Another idea is lessening the blur on bodypaint tagged/titled streams so that viewers can somewhat see the content without full details, and removing the sexual tag. We need to empower the creative community more.

20. ads

    I am loving the new ad system where it appears in the chat as a non-invasive thing! Is there any way you can make this an option for everyone. for example, We can opt into using those kinds of ads instead of the incasive ones. or at least have it where using them can reduce how long you play the screen ads on your stream? just a suggestion
