1. Select variable fps like resolution

There are options to pick lower resolutions for the stream. But there is no option for selecting lower framerates.

For example, if I want to watch at 1080p or 720p but want to decrease the framerate to 30 from 60.

3. Enable Unpublishing VODs and Highlights directly from the Twitch app for streamers and editors

I'm both a streamer and an editor for multiple other streamers.

Many of them are IRL streamers, as well as myself.

The feature request is for both Streamers and their authorized Editors is to be able to manage the publishing and unpublishing of current live streams and past ones as well.

The only content that we can manage in the Twitch App are clips. But not VODs and neither Highlights.

For an IRL streamer, we are almost always not within the grasp of a computer to do the unpublishing. So what has to happen is that we have to frantically try to contact an Editor or a Mod with an Editor role to be able to get it unpublished for us. That or try to fumble our way through the web-based Stream Dashboard on a device where it's not designed to be used. We often have our second mobile phone reading the chat with the Twitch app.

Give us the ability to unpublish and republish VODs directly from the app. Give our editors this ability too by visiting our stream with the Twitch App so that if they also happen to not be in front of a computer, they don't have to struggle to do this for the streamer too.

4. Please move the channel stream title back under the video stream

Recently twitch has moved the stream title, viewer count, etc to the top of the video streams. I find this very distracting. Please put it back on the bottom or at least create an option to hide or move it somewhere else.

5. no incognito allowed

I have hackers and trolls that snipe my stream. Whenever possible I ban them. Many after ban watch my stream incognito (no login) and continue to terrorize. I can not see them let alone report or ban them. Is there a way to only allow people who have signed in to twitch to see my stream. I understand this may impact my visibilty but this behavior has been going on for quite a while. Love a box to check for this option. TYSM

6. Cross Channel Moderation Tool Feedback/Update/Issue

Separation of concerns. This might be a weird request, but long ago in the past I've had some run-ins with channel creators where I spoke out against something that I thought they were doing that was unethical. I can't remember if it was phrased poorly but I generally try to watch out for that, but you can check the logs. What ended up happening was I rubbed one Mod the wrong way, and they happened to mod multiple channels. So before I knew it, my opinion (and sure I can understand it might not be welcome, stuff happens) in one channel ended up getting me banned across 8 different channels. Channels I barely watched or rarely watched and had never committed, nor would say anything bad about that person or what they do/did.

To clarify, I watch GTA RP, and there was a streamer who wasn't always the nicest guy to people and sometimes I spoke up about it. That's probably putting it too altruistically, as we all have bad days but that's generally how I try to hold myself. Me speaking up in the one channel and criticizing something that the person has done got me banned across these numerous channels, because of a Twitch feature which allowed my information to be shared across those multiple channels and so I was branded as a problem I suppose. So even on channels that I loved, supported, and wouldn't think twice to say anything negative to - because they didn't do things that I perceived to be cruel or unjust to others - I was banned without cause.

I respect that this can be a choice, but it starts to deviate a little bit into what feels like (though the medium seems trivial and pedantic, so it sounds silly) corruption.

I had put in a ban appeal on one channel and the streamer read out loud the note that the mod had made on that channel, and it was 100% a manufactured lie. The comment stated that I had sent the channel author sexist and chauvinistic articles and harassed them or something when I'd done nothing of the sort. The mod had fabricated a reason for me to be banned. I was mortified at the stated reason as I wouldn't have done that. (I can point to the account name of the Mod that did this, but I won't post it publicly).

Further, what I found to happen due to this behind the scenes tool, was that these infractions started negatively framing me (possibly unjustly, possibly not) as a bad actor. So much so that I actually gave a compliment to a streamer where I said their roleplay between themselves and another character that they played was very realistic the way they portrayed a couple in roleplay when they were not in fact a couple, as the manner in which they bickered, and how it carried on, really hit the heart to anybody who's ever been in a toxic relationship. (Again I can't point to the channel, not to blame them for any wrongdoing, but so that it can be clarified if anybody wants to look into this issue)..

   • I ended up banned very quickly after saying that... being relatively floored and not understanding why.. I came to suspect that these M-M-Muuultibans across numerous channels just because a Mod carried them over and/or (what I'm now presenting here as the issue as I reach my crescendo in sentiment) these systems end up creating a confirmation bias that's ultra easy to slip into where an infraction in one channel with entirely different context and possibly justified reasoning for their statement, since it shows the chat log without surrounding chat to see what was being said to them, (context truly is key to understand meaning, anything in a vacuum gets filled in with someone's own biases or knee jerk assumptions) affects their presence in other channels in a very snowball-esque manner. Someone looks at (I've never seen the interface) certain infractions out of context, gets a "He's a troublemaker" bias set up in their head which now begins to skew everything that person says in the other channel.

I can see why the tool was invented, and how it can be beneficial, but I am hoping to outline a case study where it can lead to a snowballish ostracization of a person, and depending on the person and age a 'radicalization' of their character when they are met with scrutiny and banned over and over for innocuous things.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, much obliged. I don't have a specific suggestions, but I'm sure with this thorough confession of sordid woes something may be gleaned to help improve the system overall.

Oh yeah, and because of this, there are certain channels that I've never committed any crime in who I am banned in because they ask to verify your account (And I can make a new account, making sure to stay the course and be extra courteous) but because my phone number is linked to the kerfuffle of the other account, that account too gets banned across the board. It's deflating, so now I just don't bother to interact anywhere anymore. Came across this page so I figured I'd regale my story and hope it helps someone somewhere (possibly me! lol)

   Thank you and God Bless

8. VODs that have been made private can be accessed directly via a URL.

While the broadcast was in public mode, the URL was shared via notifications, but there was a problem with the broadcast so I changed it to private. However, just to be sure, if you access the URL in the notification, you can play the video.

9. Whisper Filtering / Moderation

A lot of streamers with whispers enabled have been harassed by someone via them. I know you can block whispers from strangers, but there are various beneficial reasons we may want to keep them enabled. Even just checking the whisper tab shows you the last message someone sent, and a lot of the times we really don't want to see that (for so many reasons I don't have to go into - discrimination, harassment, sexual content, hostility, etc).

I would like to propose easy moderation options for whispers, specifically message filtering.
I would love something similar to Chat AutoMod settings for whispers, where we can BLOCK or have messages hidden if they contain specific phrases (such as sexual, bullying / aggression, racism, misogyny, etc). You could also block links or have spam filtering too.

I truly believe these moderation / filtering options (or defaults) for whispers would benefit everyone on Twitch.
   Thank you for considering this.

11. Stacking Subscriptions

I’d like to request a feature that allows users to stack gifted subs onto other users who already have an active subscription.

    For example:

Dan is a viewer in a live stream; he is being a great community member. As another viewer I want the ability to reward him by paying for a month of his sub (or several months)

Here is how it could work:
    • Done through the user card in chat
    • The streamer receives their normal value on the day that the "resub" occurs
    • The recipient (Dan) is emailed / notified that “You’ve received a future month of subscription courtesy of Harper/ anonymous.”
    • Random gift subs would still function as they currently do by going to unsubscribed viewers.
    • The recipient saves money possibly encouraging him to stay subscribed longer. X dollars (possibly allowing him to subscribe longer)

    This creates a win-win-win situation:
    • Recipient feels appreciated.
    • Streamer gets continued support.
    • Twitch retains an engaged viewer and subscriber.

12. flashing emote filter

A setting that would allow a user or streamer with epilepsy or light sensitivity to block or disable the animations for emotes that strobe or flash rapidly in their chat. Emotes like steaks19Crazypotato may be merely annoying when one or two are posted but become painful (and dangerous) when spammed.

13. Blocked Users shouldn't see my messages

Currently, if I block a person on Twitch, they can still see my messages in Twitch chat. I think it would be a lot better if a person cannot see the messages of someone who has them blocked, in the same way I can't see their messages if I have them blocked. It should go both ways.

14. Account deletion with a connected phone number

Hello Twitch. I am a new, small streamer with a big problem. I decided a few weeks ago to start streaming with a friend, but I realized I couldn’t because my phone number is connected to another account. That’s when I realized I had made an account a long time ago, which I accidentally deleted, and I was wondering if there’s any way to get my phone number on my main account.

Hallo...

16. TWITCH MODS THAT FOLLOW THEIR OWN GUIDELINES

Please hear me out, I know that idea sounds crazy.
There are many streams that outright break Twitch's so called "Community Guidelines", yet upon reporting and giving exact violations, absolutely nothing is ever done.

    Example:
    https://www.twitch.tv/forhim__tv

    ^Channel was already permabanned - https://www.twitch.tv/forhim_tv
    Reporting does nothing

He shows lingerie with visible nipples.
I give exact timestamps (like for current stream 6:41:32 &
    6:50:40)
    Reporting does nothing.

That gooner streams are on Twitch at all is crazy, but that mods refuse to follow their own rules and are covering for these streams is outright disgusting given the fact that if you or I just say something slightly offensive we could get PERMANENTLY BANNED. But this guy is making money showing girls nipples without their consent. OK TWITCH.

20. Introduction of a NSFW Category in Art

I'm an active member of the artistic community on Twitch. Firstly, I want to express my appreciation for Twitch's ongoing commitment to providing a safe and respectful environment for all users.

I would like to bring to the team's attention the possibility of a review of rules regarding NSFW content in the artistic context. I understand and respect the importance of keeping the platform suitable for all ages, but I would like to discuss the possibility of allowing NSFW drawings, as long as they are clearly labeled and limited to the artistic context.

Art is a crucial means of expression, and many artists on the platform wish to explore more mature and artistic themes without violating the current rules. Introducing a separate category for NSFW art would ensure that this type of content is only accessible to consenting users, without affecting streamers in other categories.
I would suggest the implementation of a filter or an option to automatically hide NSFW content in categories unrelated to art. This way, it would ensure the separation between NSFW artistic content and content from other categories.

I have noticed that several members of the artistic community on Twitch share my perspective. Additionally, it's worth noting that there is another streaming platform, Picarto, dedicated solely to art, including NSFW art. Twitch, being the more prominent platform, could draw inspiration from Picarto, both in terms of rules and catering to a broader audience, potentially reducing competition.

I appreciate the work done by the Twitch team in maintaining a safe and welcoming platform. I hope your consideration of this request contributes to a more flexible environment for artists without compromising the platform's integrity.

Thank you for your time and attention.
    Best regards,
    Pix_a
