2. Key requests from dead accounts

   I recently received several emails, spam typically, but identifying as Twitch streamers, requesting keys for a newly released game of mine on Steam. As a indie developer I noticed, checked and corresponded, with this apparent Sex Trafficking Network, since I presume, after they made all kinds of childish claims, where actual business is concerned. One was a COD streamer from 7 years ago, I told him my game, a visual novel isn't for him and got a one-line email response that yes, it is for him. Nothing in the world passes as such but a Ring of Pedophiles kidnapping children, and I realized its very concerning Twitch doesn't represent the legal institute more closely, so Child Sex Offenders don't feel home here, so much that they can buy a kids old dead streaming ID and use it to acquire software from indie developers.

3. Picture-in-Picture stream quality keeps degrading

   Hi, first of all thanks for adding the native picture-in-picture mode option recently.

   However it still has some quirks it appears. When I switch a stream into picture-in-picture mode, resize it, and then switch the tab it doesn't take long and it will be in very bad video quality until I switch back to the twitch tab.
   This shouldn't happen as the stream is literally on the screen the entire time. Probably the website thinks I backgrounded the stream and I'm not able to see it, as when it isn't switched into picture-in-picture mode and "just" directly backgrounded when one only wants to listen to the audio for a while and then switch back after a while.

   Edit: Could confirm this working hypothesis using the Chrome Browser Dev Tools using the "Emulate a focused page" option. Once enabled the quality no longer degrades. So this appears to be what causes the issue here.

4. Fighting against viewbotting. Needing your help

   I've been attacking viewbotting services for a few years now. It's not like Twitch or Amazon are going to lift a finger but even without their help I've still made some massive strides:

   1- So far I've got Streamboo out of the TUCOWS servers and they've been relegated to the Chinese servers (NICENIC) after a brief temporary installment on the ADMINVPS servers.

   2- I've previously chased Dogehype out of the NAMECHEAP servers operating in Europe (Iceland) but they've returned again and NameCheap is, once again, supplying scammers with websites.

   3- I'm attempting to get the NEZHNA ones dealt with on the DYNADOT servers with some difficulty. Dynadot doesn't seem willing to sever ties with the scammers.

   4- I got BooViewers shut down on the CUTTLY mirror services.

   5- Similarly, I got BuyFollows shut down on the CUTTLY mirror services.

   I'm really sorry about the massive bot slaughter of Jun/Jul last year. I was exploring ways to get Amazon's insurance "adjusted" to reflect that Amazon was doing nothing in regards to attacks on their assets. I believe my inquiries resulted in a massive purge of many bots proving that Amazon DID actually do something. I might have inadvertently killed a lot of genuine bots by making requests for Amazon's insurance details. The timing is too coincidental to ignore.

   I'm keen to keep fighting but what I need is screenshots from the chats of the offending bots. I don't need to know where the bot was seen (protect your streamer).

   If you see one, please screenshot it and send it to me. I'm targeting the hosts of the scammers. Once the server owner realises that they're actually assisting in the attacks against Amazon (with a net worth bigger than Brazil's entire GDP) they seem to drop the scammers as customers.

   It's working. I'm getting results but I need more intel for the fight. You can tag @Gradgar on BlueSky (or just add them to my pinned post) or send them to my Reddit inbox of the same name.

   There is an example image on my BlueSky pinned comments.

   It's like I said, Twitch and Amazon aren't going to lift a finger in this. They don't care if you get scammed and they want the community to clean up their mess.

   It's literally up to us because Twitch won't even implement a few simple lines of code that would prevent this from happening.

5. Banning permanently all content creators supporting terrorism and genocide glorification

   I have been watching the some of the most disgusting content that I have ever seen being broadcast on your platform and you condoning this without any interference has made me come to decision to stop supporting this platform anymore. If Asmongold ever starts streaming even simultaneously on any other platform I will delete all of my Twitch applications and never come back here and I have also decided to stop any subscriptions from hence fore to any of the channels in Twitch. And I will change all my other streaming possibilities to any other platform than yours.

6. remove automatic penalization bot altogether

   too annoying to work with either unfair or nonsensical penalizations like: shadowban, full ban or suspend people for things that either never happened or was misinterpreted by bots algorithms. bots should NEVER handle tasks designed for human brains. HIRE REAL PEOPLE!

7. Enforce Verified Accounts Only chat by default

   New streamers are plagued by bad actors looking to scam and manipulate them. I suggest that "Verified Accounts Only" mode is enabled by default for all new accounts, with the option to turn it off manually should the streamer want to to do so. This should deter most of these bad actors who constantly ban evade with new accounts.

   Je souhaite proposer la création d'une nouvelle catégorie appelée "Trophy Hunter" pour les streamers et téléspectateurs qui se passionnent pour la chasse aux trophées et la complétion à 100 % des jeux. Actuellement, pour trouver ce type de contenu, il faut parcourir une multitude de tags, ce qui rend difficile de trouver facilement les streams centraux sur les trophées et les succès.

   Pourquoi une catégorie "Trophy Hunter" ?

   1. Répondre à une demande croissante : La chasse aux trophées et aux succès est une tendance forte parmi les gamers. De nombreux joueurs présentent les défis de complétion et aiment suivre des streamers qui partagent cette passion. Une catégorie dédiée permet à cette communauté de se rassembler et de rendre ce contenu bien plus accessible.

   2. Faciliter la recherche : Avec l'absence de catégorie dédiée, les streams "Trophy Hunter" sont souvent noyés parmi les autres contenus sous les catégories de jeux individuels. La création d'une catégorie dédiée permet aux fans de trouver rapidement ce type de contenu sans devoir parcourir d'innombrables balises.

   I am loving the new ad system where it appears in the chat as a non-invasive thing! Is there any way you can make this an option for everyone. for example, We can opt into using those kinds of ads instead of the incasive ones. or at least have it where using them can reduce how long you play the screen ads on your stream? just a suggestion

12. Twitch Clips Desynced since Update

    So for a few years I have downloaded clips for my partner and I, to make compilation videos each month to post on YouTube. I started noticing about 3 months ago that some of the clips are broken. The audio and video are completely desynced. It seems to have started around the time Twitch started pushing the Landscape and Portrait clip editor. I am fairly certain it is a bug in the system and not a problem with my download/video player. When I look in my Clips Manager at the broken clip, the Landscape and Portrait versions start a few seconds apart from each other.

    It was at first just a few clips, so I assumed it was something on my end, but it's been happening more and more lately. I've also had friends say that their clip players on the brb screen of their streams have desynced audio in newer clips.

13. Keep the Maturity Tag *AND* have Content Classification

    I think the new content classification feature is an incredibly useful tool to have. Allowing creators to specify their content and giving an audience the ability to know that a stream may have something that is not for them is great!

    As a streamer who is SFW and doesn't have any content that would fall under these classifications, though, the loss of the maturity tag means that I am losing a valuable feature to keep my community safe.

    Why I don't want children in my space despite being completely SFW:
    It is a LOT of work to keep children safe when you are allowing them in your community. They are inherently vulnerable. Not every content creator is equipped or prepared to take on that burden. Allowing children into your space means that your moderation has to be VERY strict to protect them. Their brains are still developing and you have no idea what passing comment could stick with them forever. Not to mention that regardless of how well you try to curate your community, anyone can watch whisper children privately. It is not something every content creator is prepared to take on. Children are considerably more likely to form unhealthy parasocial attachments to you and not recognize your and this can make enforcing healthy, distant relationships considerably harder. Many streamers are not equipped to take on this burden and used the blanket moderation tool as a way to enforce this boundary.

    Why having the blanket "mature" tag in addition to the content classification labels is the safest option for many spaces:
    I sat in on the Patch Notes today and brought this up. The staff that was there offered a somewhat helpful alternative after clarifying that they are not considering both of these options together. This suggestion was:
    Use the freeform tags as a way to let people know your content isn't for kids.
    While this is helpful in a small way, many people completely miss these tags. Sure, kids may ignore all the messages anyway, but a parent monitoring their kid's watching habits and helping to determine which streams are safe for them may very well not notice a tag-- they WILL, however, notice a message on the screen letting them know that I have set the boundary with my community that it is intended for non-minors (Mature content warning). Removing this ability makes it considerably easier to violate this boundary on accident.

    I know MANY streamers who do not have the bandwidth to dedicate extra resources into moderating with children in mind, communicating with them in a way that doesn't impact them harmfully long term, and doing the extra steps to do what they can to help protect them from predators. In these cases, the blanket maturity tag allows us to easily and clearly set the boundary without risking it go unnoticed by parent OR child.

    How I would suggest implementing this:
    Just have both. The blanket maturity tag wouldn't absolve people of having to specify the kinds of mature content under the new standards for classification. It would just also allow those of us doing our best to keep communities safe by gently keeping children out a much easier time to enforce these boundaries.

    I'm also happy to speak to anybody further about why this is so important to me, or to connect you with other partnered/affiliated streamers who feel the same.

    Twitch, please create a separate category for GTA Online or alternatively one for GTA RP. It is very inconvenient to find GTA Online players among all the RP players. There are many RP players who do not specify their RP server in the title.

15. Better Report Feature for Harassment

    There should be a different reporting feature for harassment/abuse that is separate from the normal chat "report" feature.

    When someone has been making alt accounts daily for months to harass a streamer, the current report tool function simply gets the alt account banned, but that doesn't stop the harassment from continuing on the next new account.

    There should be a dedicated streamer safety staff and reporting mechanism for streamers/mods to be able to communicate what they are experiencing and list out the facts and all associated accounts, so that Twitch can actually do something (like an IP ban) to prevent someone from simply making a new account to harass streamers.

    The current platform makes it incredibly easy to get an alt account taken down for ban evasion, but it does nothing to change the pattern of harassment from repeating with how easy it is for the abuser to simply make another account.

18. Raise the minimum streaming age to 18

    Twitch recently changed their content policy to allow more leniency around sexual content. Given the rampant child exploitation issues that have plagued Twitch for years, combined with the fact that Twitch allows children as young as 13 years old to stream on the platform, there is a serious concern that these changes could give child predators additional opportunities for harm.

    Particularly concerning is that Twitch has not clarified in its content policy that the new sexual guidelines (or the old ones, for that matter), apply only to adult users of the platform. For example, Twitch indicates that sexual themes such as "twerking, grinding, and pole dancing", content that deliberately highlights sexual body parts, body art, erotic dances, etc. are allowed. However, the policy DOES NOT state that this conduct is allowed for 18+ users only. How does Twitch plan to prevent underage users from participating in this conduct? Are there any measures in place to restrict streamers under the age of 18 from labeling their streams as 18+ and applying content labels?

    Twitch is a platform that not only boasts a substantial under 18 viewerbase but also allows children to livestream on the platform, the latter of which enabled child predators to target nearly 300,000 underage Twitch streamers in a 2 year span, as revealed in a Bloomberg expose on September 21, 2022.

    Given the substantial harm posed to children on live streaming platforms, I would like to petition Twitch to increase the minimum streaming age to 18 years old. This would essentially eradicate child predator activity on the platform and free up resources for Twitch Safety to focus on other dangers.

20. Include "illegal Activity" and "Breaking the law" as options when reporting content.

    So the terms of service explicitely prohibits breaking the law, but when trying to report a clip in which the streamer is breaking the law, no such category exists. How come?
