Twitch Clips Desynced since Update
So for a few years I have downloaded clips for my partner and I, to make compilation videos each month to post on YouTube. I started noticing about 3 months ago that some of the clips are broken. The audio and video are completely desynced. It seems to have started around the time Twitch started pushing the Landscape and Portrait clip editor. I am fairly certain it is a bug in the system and not a problem with my download/video player. When I look in my Clips Manager at the broken clip, the Landscape and Portrait versions start a few seconds apart from each other.
It was at first just a few clips, so I assumed it was something on my end, but it's been happening more and more lately. I've also had friends say that their clip players on the brb screen of their streams have desynced audio in newer clips.

For the past few months the last ~3 seconds of each clip I generate are missing. I use Chrome.

Recently, many users have experienced audio and video desync issues with Twitch clips, likely caused by bugs in the new Landscape and Portrait clip editor. The problem seems to occur when the two versions start at different times, causing playback issues both on Twitch and in downloaded clips. To avoid this, it's best to skip Twitch’s built-in editor and use tools like OBS or third-party downloaders. Clipping a few seconds before the desired moment can also help reduce errors. For now, https://mavishhomes.ca/ reporting the issue to Twitch and manually resyncing broken clips in editing software are the most reliable workarounds.
