  1. In your own TOS you allow:
Building construction sets (Lego, Erector sets, Mega Bloks, K'nex, Duplo, etc) or model kits (Warhammer, Gundam, and etc)

    You do not, however, allow:
    Toy assembly

How do you know that the Gundams etc. Will not be used as toys once they are done? How can you be sure they will not be gifted to a family member and that they will use them as toys.

    Toy assembly should be allowed.

    You do not allow: Unboxing
But yet many people do unboxing streams (primarly "big streamers")

You do not allow: Playing puzzles
    But you allow…

  2. In light of recent events in which two individuals have been harassing and cyberstalking a number of Twitch streamers, myself included, it would be helpful to filter out alternative forms of profanity along with formats of phone numbers.

Specifically, I suggest the following be filtered/prohibited in username creation:

    • bltch (with an "L" instead of an "i")
    • wh0re (with a "0" instead of an "o")
    • ########## (the typical format of including phone numbers in a username)

All three of these techniques have been used by internet trolls when creating multiple accounts to harass streamers and post their personal information.…

  3. Assign a unique ID to users connecting to streamers (based on hardware ID if possible, IP is too easy to change) to make creeps and toxic people easier to get rid of. If that's even possible, I have no idea but it doesn't sound too hard. I don't know for sure what this means server-wise, I'd imagine you'd need some place to store these IDs and this place would get pretty cluttered if every user is assigned an ID per stream but... food for thought. Maybe have it be assigned after a message is sent? this way you wouldn't have…

  4. It's too easy to create an account so once a user reports a bot account the staff bans them, they get a new IP and are ready to go again.

If you implement a shadowbanning system where their messages appear in chat but not to other users then that means that staff only have to ban the user once as they will not make a new account. It would be like a global ignore feature except the person being banned will not know that they have been ignored by every user. This would make the staffs job so much easier…

  5. Moto Vloggers from YouTube are making a transition into Twitch but in the TOS you arn't allowed to drive and stream. I think you should be able to have the Helmet Cam while on a motorcycle.

  6. Many streamers have the same problem where someone is abusive in the chat. In this case, they are banned. It is more than common that the same user would come back on an alt to continue being abusive in chat.

My suggestion is to notify broadcasters/chat moderators of accounts that are on the same IP as someone who has been banned or timed out, so that they could deal with them accordingly. This could even be extended to allowing broadcasters to IP ban people from their chat.

Yes, there may be a problem with people using VPN's, however this is…

  7. If you ban a partnered streamer temporarily please tell them exactly what in the vod got them banned and how to avoid doing that in the future. Ive seen how vague and ineffective the system of telling a streamer "you broke this rule" in a email is and hope Twitch improves on this flawed system

  8. I wanted suggestion that Streamers would be able remove a follower and set it the way he could not follow you again with a time limit or permanently. last year I contacted the staff about follower who refuse to unfollow even he hated me and always came back spy and lose my followers with false facts he never got anything of it. So I wanted to suggest this if anyone has similar situations, to get ability just simply remove the follower yourself and able control if you can follow you again.

  9. The Twitch community is composed of people from around the world, coming from unique political backgrounds and cultures.

Prohibiting games enforces a specific view of the world to the Twitch community as to what is acceptable or not, censoring content with valuable gameplay and cultural content in the process.

As of this writing, the list of prohibited games are either due to violence, sex, or any game with the "Adults Only (AO)" ESRB rating. While this could be argued to be a good thing for kids, Twitch has already a "Mature Content" flag in its channel settings for this specific…

  10. This is simply a copy paste of a reply from a recent reddit post on the subject. It's un edited for this purpose but it gets the point across. (Seeing as there are already 2 people asking for nudity, I figured the counter needed a spot)

I'm a Creative streamer. Long before Creative was a thing. I don't want nudity as part of broadcasts. Why? Several reasons. I run a business. Customers come to my channel to see my work, and one of the problems with nudity is that I don't want my business to be associated with it -…

  11. Since the creation of twitch creative last year, there's been a great community growing. Twitch has made a new and exciting platform for artists to connect with their audience that hasn't really existed before. It allows for such a personal connection between the art, artist, and viewer. When I see artwork from an artist that I watch regularly, not only do I see their beautiful creation, I remember special moments when they completed a section of their work.

On October 28th, 2015, when Twitch creative was announced on the Twitch blog they wrote, ”We expect to learn much about what…

  12. I would love if the whole process of reporting someone came with a bit more transparency in regards to what then happens.

When reporting a user today, you're left with the message "Thank you for your report", and that's it. From that point, you have no way of knowing what happens, and you never hear back from Twitch in regards to the outcome of your report.

I would like to suggest that a bit of transparency is introduced to this process.
If reports were treated like bug reports/feature suggestions, sending us an automated e-mail with a ticket-number attached, it would…

  13. Recently I've noticed that new only casino streamers are coming to Twitch every day and it concerns me:

    My concerns are:

    • They use Twitch.tv PRIMARY as their affiliate marketing channel.
    • They promise bonuses and campaigns for underage people and gambling addicts.
    • These streams provide FALSE impression of casino games.
    • Streamers who have deals with casinos play with unrealistic bonuses that normal people do not get.
    • Some (not all) streamers are even absolute scammers who play with fake accounts.
    • Streamers don´t give viewers realistic image of their affiliate or other casino connections.
    • Streamers don't provide enough information about dangers of gambling…

  14. I have a server for playing. Too many users watch stream and use information from it in the game. I know IP address of each players on my server and want to have ability to ban them on twitch. The idea is that when player connect to my server then my server call twitch API to ban user for viewing stream, when user exit from server then server will unban him.

I think that it very good feature to help in fighting with stream snipers.

  16. Add a feature that bans an email, instead of just the account, it would then be harder to create new accounts to troll.

  17. I guess it would make sense to put this somewhere in the User's settings, but it would be convenient for a user to see a list of all channels that they're banned from chatting in. Channels can currently see all the users who are banned from chatting in their channel, but what about a list of channels that have banned the user from chatting in their chats. This would also make it easier to figure out which channels to speak to and try to get unbanned from.

  18. A mod can't always be watching or all knowing, why not let the chat be allowed to decide who is spamming or being rude to the streamer. I propose a system in which a person in chat can select the person who is being disruptive and issue a stream wide vote. If majority or a certain number of people vote yes they will be banned (or muted) for a certain amount of time. Maybe if they are banned through this system mutiple times they will get increasing longer bans. This system will allow a chat keep itself tidy without the…

  20. I run a stream and sometimes people who are banned from chat can still harass people in chat by whispering to them. Most are not aware that they can turn whispers from people they don't follow off. This is a problem I'm seeing all over twitch after the addition of whisper. It would be more user friendly if it was on by default. Thankyou :)
