  1. Currently, only the owner of the work or the agency on behalf of the rights holder can submit a DCMA claim on a stream or a VOD.

However, as a viewer of a few channels, it's clear that some streamers are actively streaming music and video from services like YouTube and Spotify on a regular basis. Attempting to report these streamers links to pages with information with how to report, but "only if it's my work that's being infringed"

One such user was so blasé about their infringement that they openly claimed on stream that "it doesn't matter about DMCA…

  2. Hi,
I don't know what is their aim. But many bot accounts have come in chat, but any of them doesn't watch.
These bot accounts always have a common thing, they come from some channel just showing chat with autobot recommending random channels or have a discord called Social something. Just like a vigilante group.
In my channel there was always less than 2~3 bot accounts then I blocked them. And today voilà, dozen of bot welcomed me.
Tbh I really don't care about them, but they're too annoying. I see there ain't any reason to block their accounts, but…

  3. Have an option to download and/or export the original unmuted version of the VOD, if the streamer wishes to export the unmuted version to YouTube or download the unmuted version to edit out the copyrighted music, so the streamer has an unmuted version for a highlight.

Another potential option is to have the same thing, but make it a tool on the Twitch website (like where the past broadcasts are stored). As in, having the streamer edit out unmuted parts, but make it so they're not just separate VODS- have the choice to merge them together.

  4. Recently a lot of streamers have been getting DMCA notices for streams that are 2-3 years old. 50 Cent - In Da Club has been flagged on many channels along with other music from RIAA. This is a problem because streamers are now scared of getting punished or banned off the platform for listening to the music they want to listen to. This is not good for the longevity of the platform if it wants to survive the entertainment industry.

To be brutally honest, Twitch is not good for the music industry at all. If a streamer has 10,000 viewers…

  5. Having a way to recover VOD's after deletion. I cancelled prime membership and completely forgot it was connected to twitch. I now only have parts 2 to 6 of my FNAF Security Breach lives. I now can't post this as a 6 part series anywhere else

  6. i stream bed was On Minecraft for four hours with my friend, there was no background music or copywrite things in it. I know theres was audio in it because at the begining my friend made me realize i was muted on both my headphones and stream so i unmute on both to make sure this worked i went in to my stream and made random noise to make sure it was working while a little quite there's was definitely audio in it.

  7. Many streams have fun aspects such as alerts or scenes to celebrate events. Such as flashing lights or strobes like a rave to celebrate.
Or other music streams center their whole channel around these rave type imagery.

Flashing lights and colors is one of the biggest trigger for seizures for those with epilepsy.

I propose giving streamers a feature just like “flag this channel as mature content” they can “flag this channel as containing flashing imagery” or something of the effect where just as when you enter a mature stream a pop up shows stating
    “This stream has flashing lights…

  8. I can report a Streamer. But I miss the report reason "Online Grooming". In addition, it should be possible to report not only streamers, but also users in the chat.
Twitch is full of adults who cavort in streams of minors and there demand ****** things from the children.
I know you have to be 13 to stream on Twitch. It is also correct that younger streamers are banned. But mostly only the young streamers are banned, and the groomers continue to mess around .

Most groomers ask about private social media. Most often Snapchat, Tiktok, Instagram.
    Then it is…

  9. Buy the rights and create a music catalog for streamers to pick and use on their stream legally aka Amazon Music Player. If Instagram and Facebook users can allow music clips on their own content or profiles then twitch can definitely allow users to use music legally on their channels. This is beneficial for the content creator, musical artists, and Twitch. More revenue will be generated overall by allowing this and also it will help filter out who is using this legally and illegally. DMCA's should only be used for people abusing this and not using for example an amazon…

  11. I am extremely confused why "Sort & Delete Clips by date, game, or view count" is being pushed back to Q3/Q4 of 2021. That is an entire year from now and is unacceptable given the recent situation regarding clips being targeted for DMCA because of the system's failures to protect creators.

Twitch has prioritized VOD management over clips. Let me tell you something, as someone who has used the website for years and is a full time streamer that manages many other stream channels big and small: VOD management is NOT what people need more tools for at this time.…

  12. Allow Individual Chat Messages and Vods to be Reported

Twitch's reporting tool is in serious need of an overhaul. It's frustrating to only be able to report someone by going over to the offending account, and gathering information.
While reporting accounts themselves is a good option, it should not be the only one, as it's tedious and people may not report accounts on those confusing conditions.
In order to promote a better Twitch community, reports should be made easier, so individual vods and chat messages should have an option to be reported themselves, with a button to do so, with…

  13. Hi, today I was at work and I have the right to go on any platform that is SFW when im free, so I often go on TWITCH.

The problem here is that I got a strike and almost lost my job because there is stream appearing at the front page featuring softcore **** (Obvious sexualisation while wearing as less as possible cloths).

I really like looking at streamers playing video games and also learning things, but your platform host NSFW content wich is weird for a gaming platform.
I can't explain how frustrating being talk down by my employer…

  14. Some streamers have been using bots for years. Bots are sitting in the viewer list with female nicknames and avatars. Those who come to their channel end up on the restream of the owner of the bot network. These streams run around the clock and their owners use hundreds of bots, automatikly sending them to EVERY stream.Twitch does nothing. For example, such a network of bots (date is time of report):

  15. Mature Audience streams can still be viewed in small parts by going to their clipped videos and watching clips!

    This shouldn't be allowed?

  16. I'm a mod, but we worry about bots in our streams. Should be take a lot of time to research which follows are bots? Finding the bots among the many thousands of legit follows is hard and time consuming. Is it worth it for us to take the time and search for bots? Thanks in advance!

  17. Idea: Changes or the very least, more transparency on what constitutes as a ban from twitch in regards to breaking streamer guidelines. I also think it'd be fair as well if someone was banned unfairly, how they can have their repeal submission process proceed in an efficient and transparent manner as well.

Examples: Several esports players who have admitted to harassment, grooming, and assault on other community have their accounts still up and not banned (anti, cinnepie). Inversely, [removed specific streamer reference] who has new evidence from a lawsuit showing they were in fact a victim of **** has had…

  18. Will you, right now in public, make a commitment to protect streamers who are acting in good faith who get hit with DMCA notices?

Look at Github and what they committed to within a very short time after youtube-dl was taken down earlier this year. They are protecting their creators rather than treating them like criminals. Can Twitch do the same?

  19. Instead of removing or replacing the audio entirely to mute, add licensed audio but let us be able to hear the streamers still. Add a twitch produced sound over the copyrighted audio rather than muting, and let the streamer still be able to be heard entirely

  20. Here's a bunch of ideas of mine that should work if taken into consideration.

As for when I was back on YouTube Gaming , YouTube would block the stream temporarily while copyrighted music is playing that didn't allow revenue ( adrev ) to be given to the holder - no strike is given unless it is video related like a movie/tv show.

Example of money going to copyright holder on YouTube ( doesn't get blocked from a vod ) - https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/474829729128513536/776142264358535188/unknown.png

Blocked music ( this would be completely blocked from the stream ) -
    https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/474829729128513536/776142610455855146/unknown.png

    When it might get blocked…
