1. Instead of collecting everyone's phone number and deter new viewers...

   For those who actually think enforcing telephone number is actually "safe". Please read up on how the telephone number system works and is implemented. Especially how typical SMS is implemented with SS7 protocol.

   It is an absolutely terrible idea for any company to horde information, let alone information that is critical and not easily changed.
   For botters, they can literally bulk buy numbers for less than $0.5/each, especially in scam rampant countries like India, Turkey, China, Russia... And what about for those with company phones or easy teleco infrastructure access? Way too easy to bypass for actual bad actors.
   And have you tried buying a pre-paid sim or getting a new phone number just to discover it is linked to someone else's accounts? You can reset their passwords with the number as a lot of services defaults to relying telco to do their job properly and simply rely on the number. I have bought, used, reset numbers of accounts linked to recycled numbers, services including facebook, whatsapp and even some older banks...

   Instead of forcing a telephone number...
   Maybe redesign Twitch chat to not rely on ancient IIRC protocol? I know some devs already mentioned it before, if security and botting is a genuinely serious concern, this will resolve majority of the issues without sacrificing viewer privacy.
   Just imagine you are a new viewer and you are forced to register a number on the platform, even when the channel explicitly turned it off?
   If redesigning the chat system takes too long, why not implementing simple logic such as active chatter accounts with creation day older than several months, being VIP, Modded, granted Editor permissions in affiliate and partner channels. having clips that exceed a x-amount of % of the average viewer in the channel, subbed for x-amount of months / channels...

3. Acting Innocent

   This person named daypt is acting innocent but he is devil inside just for bragging rights. I have no control over those people but himself from camping first on it is favourite streamer followed by the vip treatment without noticing. Is there a way to check for anything you might needed to double check just for a serious business but daypt is keeping hacking with positivity smile.

4. Too much Dad Jokes

   This account person named yellowmuster is making daily dad jokes as a greeting and it is getting annoying from the dad joke that one time it was good but it way too much sensitive from other people from the jokes. I am getting bullied from the dad jokes. Could someone help to find this person go away and try the act normal way instead greeting with a dad jokes?

6. First Chat of The Day Notification

   As a community-focused streamer, I try my best to acknowledge everyone who speaks up in chat. Typically a simple hello. But sometimes people's messages get lost in a sea and I miss their first message of the day, thus missing their entry to the stream or I just can't remember if I've said hello to them or not yet for the day.

   I'd love an OPTION to have a border around first chats of the day, like we have for raiders coming in. The border would disappear after the chat message is sent.

   This would make it easier for streamers to see whether someone has chatted for the first time that day or not and help them standout.

   Adding this feature as an option, would allow streamers to turn it off for those that aren't interested, but enhance the experience for viewers who enjoy being acknowledged with a hello when they chat for the first time.

10. Blatant extremism and hate on Twitch, and no confidence in the reviews of reports

    There is no confidence in Twitch's Reviewing of Reports, and crimes are being committed continuously because of it, with people's lives and safety being put it jeopardy.

    I have reported zackwrarr a dozens of times for the last 8 months. I have reported others as well, and the bigger streamers never get held accountable. There has been no action by twitch despite this violating TOS, specifically Community Guidelines: Violence and Threats, Terrorism and Violent Extremism, Hateful Conduct, Harassment, Breaking the Law, and Harmful Misinformation Actors. This extremist behavior is illegal and is targeted towards protected groups, and has caused harm in the external world/public. Absolutely shameful of Twitch and many in the community to choose fame and profit and enjoyment over the safety of people.

    I will use three examples: 2 from zackwrarr, and 1 from HasanAbi. The number of examples does not have to do with their political views, "necessarily." I do not buy into the perspective that alleged political positions dictate this type of behavior. However, zack is very clearly more of a safety threat and has quite literally tried to organize terrorism, specifically accelerationism, multiple times. Hasan on the other hand, breaks community guidelines sometimes based off of "bro-culture" that he thinks helps convince manosphere viewers and chatters to consider him cool and thus change their perspectives eventually. This is not the case, and comes at the cost of increasing violence, specifically sexual assault, especially towards women. This **** culture conduct is rampant everywhere on Twitch, from all ideologies, and even from some women.

    The HasanAbi example:
    1.) Hasan consciously and regularly makes ablist and sexist/**** culture "edgy jokes:" calling people schizos for having perspectives or messaging that he either disagrees with or that is mis/disinformation; using sexual action to dominate or "own" individuals, usually in the form of un-consensual behavior (i.e., can't just say "consensually and she loves it," their "mom" or "dad" or the people themselves did not consent to him saying or doing any of those actions, he doesn't decide their consent).
    2.) I reported this and it is unknown if anything was done, but nothing significant like a temporary ban. His behavior did change somewhat however, at least for now.

    zackwrarr example 1:
    1.) zack coordinated harassment with his community and fandom to silence a journalistic and pro-social video game that had real (or based on real) stories from immigrants that helped increase understanding and acceptance of a protected class.
    And before people disagree, immigration is a protected status within the US, for good reason despite the xenophobic laws that also exist. But thats a contradiction for another day, unfortunately.
    
    2.) The game was called "Take Us North" and because of the harassment the game was removed from online exposure, because the creator felt scared for their safety.
    3.) zack praised himself and his community for "single-handedly" accomplishing this xenophobic and criminal behavior.
    4.) I reported this and nothing was done to him, except misinformation about how "it wasn't just him," which is technically true, but was his hateful activist organizing that accomplished this according to his own perspective and the reality of the situation.

    zackwrarr example 2:
    1.) zack has called for police to be fired because of their upholding the law based on community safety concerns, just because the people/groups being targeted were people he and his community sees as unworthy to have good quality of life.
    2.) the most recent and most concerning example of this is zackwrarr's enticement and direction on how to "terrorize" and "make life awful" for the state of MN, especially Somalis in Minneapolis.
    3.) He directs how he would have cops "persecuted" for enforcing trespass and harassment laws, wanting to create "chaos" and "anarchy."
    4.) Admits to have a "goal" of "accelerationism."
    5.) Below are some transcript examples from the stream on 12/27/2025:

    From 5:29:24 to 5:30:13 zachwrarr has this messaging and extremist conversation with his chat and while watching the Nick Shirley video that is also blatant misinformation, here are some examples:

    zackwrarr:
    "Nazi soldiers are persecuted for following orders. So, I do agree with you. The cops need to be persecuted for following these orders as well. Absolutely you do that."

    A chatter says:
    "Their job is to respond to public complaints, not investigating and determining guilt and fraud."

    zackwrarr:
    "I don't care what your reasoning is."

    zackwrarr:
    "Somebody asked, 'What would you do if you were the police instead?...'"

    zackwrarr:
    "I would create a situation where the police would be afraid to defend these places because they would be worried about being persecuted. This would cause the police to leave and completely disband the police force."

    "This would allow the companies and the people in the area to be effectively completely lawless and turn it into anarchy."

    " That would make it completely chaotic and these people would then become terrorized by the people that are in this community that they are somehow trying to enable. Right? And so the goal is for that to happen and to make it as unpleasant and awful for them as possible. So that way they realize the mistake that they've made."

    "That's the goal."

    Chatter:
    "It's accelerationism."

    zackwrarr:

    "It is. Yeah. This is the goal."

    ---

    6.) This was reported and Twitch took no action and zack is continuing this extremist behavior and enticement.

    What needs to be done to mitigate these issues:
    1.) Bare minimum transparency (no issue of privacy concerns): in the confirmation emails for reporting violations, describe or provide a link to a the description and categories of the report that the user made, as well as a follow up with after the review has been started, and when it is completed, with a simple description that doesn't get specific about the other users sensitive information or even words or behavior, just what Twitch did, not even the reviewer information given (what Twitch Support tickets already do).

    2.) zackwrarr should be banned indefinitely and Hasan banned for a month (IMO).

    3.) Other streamers/users that have done similar violations should also be held accountable appropriately.

    4.) Twitch needs to put in actual prevention and mitigations, mostly in the form of education and support for effected groups.

    Take this seriously Twitch and Bozos. This is not a laughing matter, even if this corporate and online-exposure mishandling is.

    I would love for other Twitch users to add comments on their experiences with similar reporting and violations. To emphasize the breadth of this issue, as some have already pointed out.

    Hey Twitch, I'm generally at a loss for what to do anymore. If anyone knows, please tell me, because all my viewers are bots and they always come back when I ban them. I don't know what to do anymore. Even if I ban them, they always come back. It makes me a little angry that I can't do anything about it. I'm just starting out and I feel like this is affecting me. I don't know how to ban them permanently; they even follow me, just to keep spamming over and over again. Please, someone help me. I don't even want to stream anymore because I keep getting bots. I'm getting fed up. Please, Twitch or anyone else, help me fix this problem. PLS

    It would be great if, as a streamer, we could add channel point purchases highlighted in a color we could choose. It would be easier to quickly identify what the person has purchased and see what they are asking for inside it.

    People never use their channel points because they want to keep a proof of their loyalty about their streameur, we should be able to see somwhere how much channel points we earned in Total so we can spend them without being worried.

17. streamer safety for small streamers

    why are people who commit actual offences, and are reported to you, like theres been abusers, scammers, and even worse people on chat, and some reason they're just allowed to exist, so what is the excuse for this, people who attack streamers or stalk them are here and no one seems to stop it. so my question is why, and what safeguards are supposedly in place for small streamers, I'm a small streamer and i hear horror stories about it. so whats the fix?

    There was an ad today (12/17/25) for the Creation Museum and when I went to file a report "The Creation Museum promotes a hateful ideology that targets LGBTQIA+ people while also denying scientific facts and teaching young earth creationism, that evolution teaches social darwinism, and that LGBTQIA+ people are demonic. They also fund institutions that promote Conversion Therapy which employ horrible and torturous methods to force LGBTQIA+ children to pretend to be straight/cis to avoid harsh punishments, some even including forced sexual encounters with the opposite sex." it would return with just "Something went wrong" and I could not submit this report and since the ad was over I could no longer report it. I would also suggest if this is not already a thing, that there be a way to submit tickets through your site.

19. Page where followed categories are combined

    It would be very useful to have a dedicated page where all the categories a user follows are combined (preferred option).
    Alternatively, there could be a specific filter in "https://www.twitch.tv/directory/all".

    Currently, if I want to see a stream from one of my 20 followed categories (but not a specific one), the only way to do this is to click on one in "https://www.twitch.tv/directory/following/games", then another, and so on... 20 times.
    It's not user-friendly, especially when categories are small and often have no streams available at the moment.

20. Big Streamers have 0 consequence...

    Hey so, I have been reporting very high profile streamers for a long time when they actively promote or engage in transphobic, homophobic or fascist ideologies. These DO fall under the twitch community guidelines.

    Violence and Threats
    Acts and threats of violence are counterproductive to promoting a safe, inclusive, and friendly community. Violence on Twitch is taken seriously and is considered a zero-tolerance violation, and all accounts associated with such activities on Twitch will be indefinitely suspended.

    Off-Service Conduct
    For streamers and their viewers to build vibrant and dynamic communities, everyone must feel secure and protected. We believe that some off-service offenses committed by Twitch users can create a substantial safety risk to the Twitch community. As a result, Twitch enforces against certain severe offenses that occur off Twitch when committed by members of the Twitch community.

    Hateful Conduct
    Twitch aims to be a place where everyone can come together in shared, community experiences. This vision is threatened when people experience harmful rhetoric and abuse on Twitch. Twitch does not permit behavior that is motivated by hatred, prejudice or intolerance, including behavior that promotes or encourages discrimination, denigration, harassment, or violence based on the following protected characteristics: race, ethnicity, color, caste, national origin, immigration status, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious medical condition, and veteran status. We also provide certain protections for age, which are expressly noted in the examples.

    Harassment
    Harassment deters the growth of vibrant and diverse communities, prevents people from feeling safe on Twitch, and creates a gateway for more severe forms of harm and abuse. People experience harassment in different ways, including personal attacks, promotion of physical harm, and malicious brigading. Engaging in harassment will result in enforcement action taken against the relevant accounts.

    Breaking the Law
    For the safety of our community, we require users to respect all applicable local, national, and international laws while using our services. Any content or activity featuring, encouraging, offering, or soliciting illegal activity is prohibited and may be reported to law enforcement.

    Spam, Scams, and Other Malicious Conduct
    Spam and other deceptive practices create a negative user experience, decrease trust in our service, and mislead viewers, creators, and advertisers. Any content or activity that disrupts, interrupts, harms, or otherwise violates the integrity of Twitch services or another user’s experience or devices is prohibited.

    Harmful Misinformation Actors
    In order to reduce harm to our community and the public without undermining our streamers’ open dialogue with their communities, we prohibit harmful misinformation superspreaders who persistently share misinformation on or off of Twitch. We remove users whose online presence is dedicated to (1) persistently sharing (2) widely disproven and broadly shared (3) harmful misinformation topics.

    This policy is focused on Twitch users who persistently share harmful misinformation. It will not be applied to users based upon individual statements or discussions that occur on the channel. We will evaluate whether a user violates the policy by assessing both their on-platform behavior as well as their off-platform behavior. You can report these actors by sending an email to our internal investigations team with the account name and any available supporting evidence.

    Direct quotes copied and pasted, and yet you allow hate crimes, organised hate raids, you ban OUR content and ME when i got spam false reported from these streamers chats but they get off with a huge paycheck and no consequences. For example the recent issues with xQc and QT etc... Nothing but pure discrimination and enabling hate crimes and in xQcs case, advocating for hate against other streamers. What action was taken? nothing. Absolutely nothing. Kick is worse for it so I cant even suggest moving to that site BUT i can bring in a costly legal battle. We all know twitch is losing money, especially after twitchcon. You make your living from creators then treat us like we are nothing, thats also why you shelter your money farm streamer like the ones I have reported and mentioned. You put money over your own guidelines. I have been reported and banned for 2 weeks, because i was targeted by these huge streamers, and i never even got an option to appeal or explain the number of reports. These big streamers NEED to be held accountable for how they influence such a huge amount of people with misinformation, hateful ideology and advocate for hating minorities and literally get paid to do so by twitch.

    I guess what im asking for is more moderation around hate crimes and hate speech. Dont get it confused with free speech. Asmon is another streamer who has anything like fascist, nazi, far right etc etc all banned claiming ''its because he doesnt want to talk about politics'' but then i typed out ''looney lefty'' and that went through totally fine, another example of a streamer manipulating his chat and not allowing free speech, but will happily allow hate speech and slurs in the chat. I was in there for 10 mins, and witnessed atleast 10 slurs. No mods took action. Twitch didnt take action. The double standard of punishing small creators, for example with me, I have not had a CENT of ad revenue for the past like 2-3 months..... Just all of a sudden its stopped, but now im being recommended these fascist streamers who are making more money I will ever see? No. Thats ethically and morally totally wrong. Treat everyone equally, no special treatment for your money farms, because ANYONE can blow up. Also to help twitch make more money, just allow nudity in a selected category and age verify every user in that category, do not store personal data, to avoid awful data breaches but just do a simple cross check with a debit/credit card or something. That would take your revenue to the next level so you can stop with this blatant favouritism.

    Hey so, I have been reporting very high profile streamers for a long time when they actively promote or engage in transphobic, homophobic or fascist ideologies. These DO fall under the twitch community guidelines.

    Violence and Threats
    Acts and threats of violence are counterproductive to promoting a safe, inclusive, and friendly community. Violence on Twitch is taken seriously and is considered a zero-tolerance violation, and all accounts associated with such activities on Twitch will be indefinitely suspended.
