2. Drop rewards not counting time correctly

The bug is in the tittle. I wanted to get drop reward from fortnite FNCS event for watching stream for 30mins with enabled drops, but I have watched many streams for 4 hours at all and it still shows me I didnt complete it. I watched many streams because I thought something is wrong with one of these streams. Now I realise its a twitch bug because thats insane to watch streams for 4 hours and still dont have complete 30min watch time. I watched streams with correct tag and by trusted creators, so I dont think I did something bad. Please fix this bug because its really annoying to wasting many time and still dont get what u wants. You can check my watch time history and make sure I said you right story. If its possible please give me my reward. I was trying to get Fortnite FNCS chapter 4 reward and thats all I want. Thanks and wish you a good day

3. guest star feedback

I followed the link I just got back from Support; is this the right place?

Hi! A group I'm in recently did an extensive mini raid train collab using Guest Star. It was about three weeks ago. The instruction pages encourage feedback and bug reports because it's still beta. So here I am. Happy to try to clarify any of these.

   1. One of us has struggling Internet. It is good enough to stream and she is wired in, but her bandwidth is inconsistent. I think that's why she kept getting disconnected from Guest Star even though the other 3 of us were not. Otherwise no idea why, but she had to refresh and rejoin several times.

   2. Once someone has left and returned to Guest Star, whether intentionally or no, once put on stage, their browser source on OBS showed their image returned fine, but for audio to work, the Browser source had to be refreshed.

   3. Sometimes the people in the Guest Star page would lose the ability to hear one of us. The others would still be audible. Sometimes refreshing the page fixed it. Sometimes it required that the person who couldn't be heard had to refresh. At one point this seemed to be triggered by one of the guests adjusting the volume of one of the other guests. She couldn't hear him after that, even when she turned the level back up.

   4. One of us experienced the page remembering how loud each guest was set to previously. This was confusing because it had been a while and she didn't know why some of the people were quiet. She was pretty sure she had turned the volume back up in the mean time, but when she returned to guest star, it "remembered" the previous, lower volume setting and she had to turn it back up again. Arguably it would be better if it didn't remember, or if it showed an indicator of who had a custom volume set.

   5. It's not totally clear whether adjusting someone else's volume affects them for everybody or just for you. Especially as the streamer, when I put someone on stage after changing their volume backstage, is that going to change how they sound in OBS? It would be great to make this clearer, like label it or provide a popup info bubble like "Change their backstage volume for you; this will not affect the Browser Souce on stream" etc

   6. I discovered that the Browser Source URLs don't seem to change; they are specific by position and even when I stream days later, the URLs are the same. If I were to give one of those URLs to someone else (like if I am at their home using their computer, or if we are at a public event and I'm using their laptop, etc) then it seems that during any future Guest Star streams I may do, they could (accidentally I presume) wind up with the audio and video of my guest on their OBS! I understand that the convenience of persistent links is super valuable. It would be awful to have the Guest Star session crash midstream and need to set up new browser control URLs while the world is watching. But what if the URLs get refreshed (a) after a month of not using each one, (b) if you ever change password or stream key, (c) if you create a new "Guest Star session", which reflects your intention to start fresh.

   7. I think the "Guest Star session" would be cool. You could give it a title and a description, so when you invite people they see more information about why. The URLs and the invitations could persist until you close the Session. Perhaps you could keep a few Sessions around, like how OBS does Scene Collections or Profiles, or how a digital mixer stores snapshots. Then you could have your DnD gang, your music talk podcast panel, etc, preset and ready to resume on a regular basis whenever you do those kinds of streams.

   8. At one point someone left Guest Star by mistake while they were "live" (though I hadn't actually started the stream yet, thank goodness) and their invitation was also gone. I had to stop what I was doing and reinvite them. Also at one point someone misunderstood the plan and left too soon and was messaged to come back, but had to be invited. Of course in both cases I had to toggle them "Live" and refresh the browser controls. This kind of thing happened enough that we started being quite frustrated with Guest Star, though when it worked it was great!

   9. I found that while streaming, it was most convenient to turn on monitoring in OBS and turn off the Guest Star page's audio in Chrome, by right clicking on the tab and muting the site. This unfortunately also means not being able to listen to any other twitch pages, including the page that was about to raid me. It would be great to have a master page volume or page mute button.

I know you might think I should listen to the page and keep the browser controls unmonitored, but (a) I was able to hear my effects and my real levels this way, and (b) if someone is accidentally unmuted in the browser, has background noise, coughs, etc, my method means that's not an issue. Also for a lot of us, we use Desktop Audio to share whatever sound is in the computer, and that means they would be doubled or out of sync. Lastly, because of the bug above requiring a refresh, monitoring the OBS source tells me when it's broken.

   1. If nobody is assigned to a slot, or if they leave their slot, the empty slot should have more information and buttons that would help you do something else with that slot quick. Assign someone, re-send invitation to someone who left prematurely, maybe even what time they left and how long they have to reconnect before they lose the slot.

   2. Is there a way to hide the channel names in the browser controls? Anyone skilled enough to get through Guest Star effectively should know how to add a name on screen, and if we do it ourselves, it'll be in our show's style. I understand that it's a boon to have the name change when the guest changes in a slot. That's great. But it should be optional. If it is, please let me know.

   3. Is there a way to have guests without showing the list of Guest Starring channel name links to your viewers? I love that it has that as an option, but (a) sometimes you want to have a surprise guest, (b) sometimes someone or multiple people might be on a camera that joins using their other channel, their spouse's channel, etc, or (c) if you stream for 8 hours and have someone guest for 10 minutes, it's confusing to the viewer who comes and goes at some other part of the day.

   4. If I closed my Guest Star hosting window, the others could keep talking for a minute or so, but sometimes with 2FA, rebooting, and/or stormy conditions, it can take anywhere from 1-90 minutes to get back. Also it's possible to be logged into Guest Star on a separate computer from the streaming one. I believe as it is now, if the host closes the Guest Star browser or loses connection, even if the stream is still on and the streaming computer is fine, the Guest Stars will disappear in a couple of minutes. I didn't test that, because of how horrible the experience would be while streaming. :) It would be great if the session didn't close for at least an hour or two when abandoned by the host. Zoom meetings and Streamyard, by comparison, stay until everyone leaves.

   5. It would be great to co-own a Guest Star Session so the same group could be reused on another channel without having to set everything back up. Like first I'll interview you two on my channel, then one of you streams while you two interview me on your channel, that kind of thing.

   6. It would be so cool to have a setting to enable unfiltered stereo audio, so we can play guest music on each other's channels. Many of us have been trying to use it that way and it just doesn't sound great in attenuated mono.

   7. At first I kept forgetting to put people "on stage" - especially if they were on stage a moment before and had accidentally left. Audio handling is also very strange because who can hear whom when they are or aren't on stage is confusing and unclear. It should be more visually obvious that someone is backstage. There is currently a 'look' but a watermark that says 'offstage' or something would be better. Or perhaps once anyone is "on stage", it would become even more obvious who is not, where it would be subtler before that point.

   8. A feature like some meeting software, where we see a bouncing level meter on each window in the Guest Star browser page, would be wonderful. I found it hard to figure out who had background noises on, unless I put people on through OBS and could look at their individual meters, and it would be too late then. Of course I could mute each person in turn but that also was hard while under pressure.

   9. Another idea if there are Guest Star Sessions would be to preassign slots for people. So when placing them it would default to place them in the same spots. You could still change that but having defaults would mean not having to remember where everyone was "sitting". It would be cool to be able to preassign more than one person to the same slot, if you know that some people take turns in the same 'seat', for that matter, when their segments come up.

Thanks for listening and I hope you understand why I didn't want to submit 18 times. :)

4. Remove channel VIP limit

I feel that a channel should have full control of the number of VIPs. A channel can have an unlimited number of Moderators but a max of 100 VIPs. Several channels choose to turn its VIPs into moderators just because they hit their limit and not because they want the VIP to do moderation actions.

5. MENA/Arab Heritage Month

National Arab Heritage month typically takes place in the US during April. This is a request to feature not just your Arab streamers but your Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) streamers and highlight the diversity that exists on the platform. We celebrate many heritage months and minorities on this platform, why not this one? Would love to see diverse creators on front page in celebration.

Last year Twitch dedicated one Twitter post for those who celebrated Eid, and were Muslim. That was a nice sentiment, but I hope we can push that further this year but displaying all MENA folk irregardless of faith.

6. Junior Partner Program

There is an affiliate/partner program. Affiliates are required to hit 3 average viewers whereas partners need to get to 75. Why not add a junior partner program for those who who are pm their way and show potential to becoming partner? There are some amazing affiliates who hold a constant viewership and have the support of their communities but could use a few more eyes on them.

Some of the requirements could be:
   - Must already be an affiliate
   - 16 unique streams
   - 40 Average viewers

Some of the perks that could be offered:
   -Access to More VOD storage
   -Access to more emote slots
   -Access to squad streaming
-A blue checkmark that upgrades to Purple when full status is achieved

I think A change like this could re-invorgorate the platform. There have been many who became discouraged from hovering around a consistant viewershiep below the requirement threshold for Partner consideration. This would also inspire affiliates to climb to the next step and grow a community while achieving a milestone. While the potential perks may seem trivial, having access to more vod storage could allow for more content to be put out in such places as youtube, tiktok, instagram to drive people Twitch itself. These of course are just a rough idea, but the potential is there for something like this to succeed.

Admin audit: Edited some typos for ease of discovery/readability.

7. Penalize drop promotors

I think drop promotors should be penalized or made to host more opportunities if they don't live up to their time extension.

Example Hogwarts Legacy's drop for Merlin's cloak lasts about 2 weeks, up to the 25th of February, but they only had 1 stream day for 3 hours near the beginning of the term. It was so obscure that a lot of people missed out, and the remainder of the 2 weeks is just people hoping to see it pop up again.

I think these kinds of content creators should be penalized or forced to do a stream for these drops if they're going to make a long deadline but short stream like that. It makes no sense to have a long 2 week deadline for a drop that only had 1 stream near the start. It just wastes everyone's time and gets everyone's hopes up for nothing.

9. Drop Campaign page with progress and completion indicators + sorting

Merge progressing campaigns with the rest of the campagins in a fold/unfold style.

   Problems:
   - Some campaigns running every week are already planned months ahead, and therefore fills the inventory page.
   - When i have aquired all drops in a campaign, it dissapears from the inventory page. This is fine, but i can't remember which campaigns i have already completed and there is no indicator on the "All Campaigns" site.
   - There's no need to show the same campaign at different pages, with one of them just showing the progress. You might aswell merge these and let the "Inventory" page only be used to show the drops aquired.

   Suggestion:
I've made a picture as an example of how a merge could look:
   https://imgur.com/a/zIDaDkR
In this picture i have aquired all drops from the Project Genesis campaign, World of Warships has no progress yet and i'm done with 4 out of 10 drops from the unfolded Hellcard campaign.

This would make it much easier to navigate which campaigns have already been completed, are progressing or not started yet.
It would also eliminate the problem with ongoing campaigns filling up the whole page, since all campaigns can be folded/unfolded.

   Bonus:
   - Progression indicators would probably be enough, but a sorting function with "start date", "end date", "incomplete" and "complete", would be very usefull aswell!
   - This would limit the use of "Inventory" to only showing already aquired drops. Sorting these drops by game title would also be really helpful!
   - Option to hide campaigns from unwanted game titles.

10. Automatic Drop claim with linked service

If a user has linked an account with a drop enabled service then when the user has met the requirements for the drop it should automatically be claimed so the user can continue with drop progress. An example is Overwatch spray+skin. When you watch 2 hours to get first spray, none of the 4 hour progress is made towards the skin after the 2 hours until the last drop is claimed. A user could be mislead and watch for 6 hours (the total amount) and not be rewarded for their time due to the inefficient system in place. There is also no easy way to go from a drop enabled stream to the drop inventory.

11. make a way to partner with other streamers

Make it so that multiple streamers can stream on the same account at the same time, the two streams can be viewed at the same time or separately, I would also like to propose a easier way to partner with other accounts, so like form a group.

That big grey area with a tiny icon does not look nice.
The user name is already small so on mobile all you see is a grey rectangle with 2 black spots. 1 in the center and 1 in the bottom left.

15. Guest Star

It would be interesting to create a video call room, a format similar to melonapp that has scenes and the ability to dynamically change the site chatters. Also the compatibility of browsers, that it is compatible with chrome or with firefox is not valid because when sharing the call through those browsers it can cause the sound to be duplicated, it would be convenient if there was compatibility with Opera or vivaldi. Right now with the existing format there is no difference with Discord and guest star should give that extra difference apart from including someone just for having a twitch account. There are many chat shows on twitch and creating such a dynamic tool would be very useful to avoid having to go to external programs like melonapp or streamyard.

16. follower goal

https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/creator-goals?language=en_US - Can you please make note somewhere in this article that the follower goal won't appear on your channel's about section unless you're randomly selected for it to appear? I just spent the past hour trying to figure out why my follower goal wasn't showing up, and just found a Reddit post where somebody said it was a random selection for it to appear in your about section. I just think it would make some people's lives a little bit easier.

18. muted section of vods even with paid subs to music delivery.

So i struggle with getting sections of my stream muted. i quote "Audio for portions of this video has been muted as it appears to contain copyrighted content owned or controlled by a third party."

What i really want to highlight here is "appears" i suspect if someone report this it is fixed by some sort of automated program without cheking. This has happend on several occations at this point for me even tho i do everything by the book, i have a paid subscription to epidemic sound that is linked to twitch and to spotify, with that sub i pay for the right to play all the music from epidemic sound on all platforms i link with the account.

It's frustrating to still get vods muted even tho you have done everything by the book to make sure you are not breaking the rules, yet its a slap over the fingers every time the mute come in.

If you want to "appeal" the mute the information and forms are lengthy and way to time consuming just to get the portions unmuted, there has to be a better fix for this thank filling out big forms and spend time on that and might not be resolved because the vod eventually gets removed after a set time.

Would it not be better if you made some sort of agreement with providers of music like epidemic sound, Harris Heller, Streambeats and the others? for example: twitch get info that the steamer has an active payed sub and get's whitelisted by the system. Or that theese become a plugin somehow so where to songs itself is whitelisted and twitch can keep track on what song is currently playing?

I really wish Twitch would look into this problem!
