password requirements The password requirements are truly insane for the average user. I shouldn't need a password so secure that it'd take years to *****, I need a password I can remember. This is a streaming site.
If a streamer wants a super secure password, they can make that themselves, but imposing insane guidelines on people who just want to follow a few people is super annoying.

Please stop disabling notifications! Please stop automatically turning off notifications for streamers I haven't watched for a while. At the very least, either give me an option in the email to revert the changes, or be smart enough to know which I have manually re-enabled so as to stop making them part of the next wave. I'm not on Twitch often, but I like knowing when certain friends are online, and it drives me absolutely crazy to have to go seek out each person from a long list of subs and manually re-enable the notifications every time the algorithm decides I don't need them…

Allow All Partners to Request 3 Letter Usernames from Twitch Support As it currently stands, Twitch Partners are not allowed to request Partner Support to change their alias to anything below 4 characters. I know that I along with multiple other Twitch Partners have ran into this issue when contacting Twitch support to try and remove extra numbers or special characters from our names. It has also been equally as frustrating for me and these other Twitch Partners when these name changes are continuing to be offered to the biggest Partners on the platform, but smaller or mid sized Partners are still rejected when they ask.

Twitch - UserNames - Add Alias Names/Nicknames to the Profile settings / Channel Settings Enhancement Request:
User can have the functionality/ability to create and change an Alias Name, separate from the User/Streamer name as long as the user has a Twitch channel.For example
User Name: JohnConnor

Make email verification mandatory With the ongoing outbreaks of follow and hate bots "raids", the creation of multiple accounts is simply too easy to abuse on the platform. Creating an account on Twitch does not require an authentic email address before using its services: watching content, following a streamer, sending messages in streamers chats, modifying the account details, etc.
Many streamers are being harrassed by bots and "IP Grabbers" by:
- Mass following streamers with inappropriate names and account details;

Past usernames should not be held for 6 months 2 months ago, I changed all of my usernames for privacy reasons. Now, I’ve changed every username back with the exception of twitch. Twitch is apparently only allowing you to change to new usernames, and if you want your old one back, you have to wait for SIX MONTHS. This is absolutely insane. This is completely awful for my branding, and I’m sure is for others. Set email or push notifications when a channel goes live in a specific category, or with specific tags. As a viewer, I would like to be able to receive a push notification when any streamer goes live in a certain category, or with certain tags, or both! I love finding new streamers to watch, and this would help me discover more of them.
Oftentimes, there are less popular games or categories which will have low numbers of viewers, who are very dedicated to that category. Confirmation before username change When you go to change your username, there is no confirmation to make sure the change was intentional. It should ask for a confirmation if you are making a 2-6 month commitment. It should just ask "You are about to change your username, is this correct?" As it is now, you can be trying out different things and if you accidentally hit enter, then you have to live without a username of your choosing for 2-6 months. Allow Streamers to Toggle Go Live Notifications I would like to see the ability to toggle notifications for our followers.
Sometimes I don't want all my followers to see I'm going live, especially on days where I may stream multiple times. Some days I would like to go live without sending out any notifications.

Option to not receive gift subscriptions in channels you follow. To have the possibility of not receiving gift subscriptions in any channel. Currently, you can deactivate the receipt of gift subscriptions in channels that you don't follow but not in the ones you do follow, would be good to have an option to deactivate this completely regardless of whether you are a follower or not.

Allow diacritics in display name Diacritics (accent marks over/under/around letters; e.g. ú, ÿ, ç, å, ē) are important in spelling rules for many languages. There are a number of situations where a diacritic can be the difference between a common word and a horribly inappropriate one.
The display name field on Twitch should be extended to allow diacritics alongside capitalization changes to a username. This would add at least some level of support for a large number of additional languages with a relatively simple change.

Clarify username change limitations before sign up When creating my account, I was stuck on what username to use. Twitch showed a message during the sign up which said something like "Don't worry, you can change this later."
So I thought, ok I'll just put anything for now, and once my account is set up, I can change it to something else.
But after I finished making my account, I went to the settings to find I had to wait 2 months before I could change my name!
I feel like I was provided some false reassurance and now I'm stuck for 2 months with a name…

disable 2fa without switching numbers or using authy there needs to be a way to disable 2fa without having a phone number or needing to sign into authy (which requires a phone number as well). i have gone through your automated support since December of last year with no resolution other than "Our policy is typically to not remove Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) under any circumstance, as doing so would defeat the purpose of your account having that extra level of protection.

Cyrillic (Russian/Ukrainian/Bulgarian/etc) Display Names The gaming communities of Slavic and other languages are quite sizeable. It would be nice for them to have the same ability to set a Display Name in Cyrillic script just like there is the ability to have them in Japanese/Chinese/Korean.

Add an option to disable Login Verification Code on "new" computers I use privacy mode in my browser, meaning it erases all temp data between sessions like cookies etc. Witch means that I need to verify that I am who I am every single time that I try to log in.
It's hella inconvenient as you can imagine. I'm not planning to add any personal data so even if my account is hacked I wouldn't care at all.
If you worried that somebody uses this option without realizing the implications just add a very clear disclaimer and/or limit some twitch functionality if an option is enabled.

Put go live notifications in "My Notifications" Currently if you have smart notifications on, you'll get a go live notification on Twitch for a few seconds and then it disappears. While on mobile, your notifications stay until viewed due to how phones work.
I would like all go live notifications to go into "My Notifications" so you can actually see who recently went live from anywhere on the website.

Display Name Adding the ability to add an apostrophe to display names.
The name I use online is [Kori'to] but when I have it on Twitch, I can't use an apostrophe in either my username or display name so it looks like [Korito]. Is it possible to allow for adding apostrophes in either the username or display name? That would be a nice addition.3 votes
