1. Shadow ban

   Informative Notice Regarding Shadow Ban on My Account

   I'm writing to formally bring to your notice a serious worry about the current state of my Twitch account, which can be found at twitch.tv/kagger911. I think my account has been shadow-banned because I've noticed a noticeable drop in engagement, visibility, and interaction over the last two weeks.

   I have always complied with the terms of service and community rules as an active and responsible Twitch streamer. But the way my account has been performing lately indicates that there have been limitations placed on it that have significantly reduced its visibility to other users. Even though I've been sticking to my regular broadcast schedule and interacting positively with my viewers, the following irregularities have been noticed:

   Reduced Engagement: During my streams, there has been an abrupt and inexplicable decrease in the number of viewers, comments, and interactions.
   Visibility Issues: My streams are no longer appearing in searches or in the sections recommended to my followers, which greatly limits my audience.
   Interaction with Audience: Some of my followers have mentioned having trouble locating my streams and getting alerts when I broadcast.
   

   In light of these facts, I humbly ask for a comprehensive investigation of my account to pinpoint and fix the problems resulting in these limitations. If this shadow ban is confirmed, knowing the precise cause will enable me to correct any unintentional activities that might have resulted in this circumstance. I would also appreciate advice on what actions I may take to guarantee complete adherence to Twitch's standards and to restore my account's visibility and interaction.

   Understanding how crucial it is to keep a polite and safe community, I pledge to work with your team to find a solution. Please respond to this letter as soon as possible, highlighting any problems found and suggested solutions.

2. Stop asking for a phone to DM people

   Are you serious? I've had a twitch account for years and have dmed people no problem. Now you require my phone number? This is thinly veiled predatory practice. You could ask for a myriad of other methods if you were "concerned about bots" (which you aren't). Seriously, F off with the phone number BS

3. Make followed channels private

   I found out, that there are third-party-websites, where I can enter any Twitch-username (not just broadcasters), and it shows me all channels, that this Twitch-user follows. Everybody can use such a website. You do not have to be a developer or a broadcaster or a moderator. That means, that this information is public. I was not aware of this. I did not consent to this. I thought/assumed, that this information in private.

   This information should be private by default (not public by default) (especially if you are a viewer and not a broadcaster), and there should definately be an option for the user to make this information private.

   I only found out about this randomly. The normal Twitch-website (including my settings) does NOT say that this information is public.

   I find this very bad and very concerning. It also makes me wonder what other information about my Twitch-account is publicly available for everybody on the internet.

4. Merging Twitch accounts.

   Merging Twitch accounts.

   Twitch is quite a young platform. But in the future the number of “dead” channels will increase, the so-called “Internet graveyard” will be formed. I propose, add a function “merge accounts”. Here's how it should work:
   For example, a user has two Twitch accounts (either his, or he was passed the data from the account, so to speak by inheritance). And the user wants to use the “merge accounts” function. He enters the data of both accounts (confirms). Then the user opens a page with the data of the two accounts (like a comparison table), the page displays all the data: account creation dates, follow (date), channel points (number and their spending on channels), paid subscriptions (their duration and other paid features), the number of posts (make them more than the limit of 999 +, as it can be called part of someone's history and Twitch itself). The user, can choose the setting from one of the channels. Important: except the name of the account, as it will be added to a special “Account Tree” (about this at the end).
   In more detail:

   The first channel named “qwerty” has the following details:
   Registration date: September 3, 2018.
   Username: qwerty
   Following channels: A, B, C, D, asdfg
   Channel scores: A=480, B=15670, C=460, D=28400, asdfg=300
   Total number of messages on all channels: 4784 (can be done separately for each channel)

   The second channel named “asdfg” has the following data:
   Registration date: October 18, 2020.
   Username: asdfg
   Following channels: X, S, B, C, qwerty
   Channel scores: X=67020, S=14880, B=34060, C=7810, qwerty=300
   Total number of messages on all channels: 68943 (can be done separately for each channel)

   Note: The second account is always the primary account. Integration settings will be made on it. This means that phone number, email, 2FA will remain unchanged from the second account unless the user wants to change them.

   1. Registration date: September 3, 2018 | Registration Date: October 18, 2020.
      The user selects “Registration Date: September 3, 2018.”

   2. username: qwerty | username: asdfg
      The user is left with the name “asdfg” and the name “qwerty” is sent to a special “Tree of Accounts” (about that at the end).

   3. Following channels: A, B, C, D, asdfg (tracking date) | Following channels: X, S, B, C, qwerty (tracking date)
      1) Channels that are not following from the main account (second account): The user can choose to subscribe to channel A (start tracking again) or import the date from the first channel.
      2) Channels that are following on both accounts: As channels named B and C are repeated, the user can select them by tracking date. For example, the user selects channel information (B and C) from the first account, accordingly the tracking date will be earlier.
      3) Channels which are only following on the main account (the second account): The user cannot re-track a channel, as settings are imported to the main channel. Which is already tracking this channel. In this case, it is not possible to import settings.
      Note: If the account names used in the “merge accounts” are the same as the accounts being following on both channels, they cannot be imported. Since the first merge, account is sent to a special “Account Tree” (about that at the end).

   4. Channel scores: A=480, B=15670, C=460, D=28400, asdfg=300 | Channel scores: X=67020, S=14880, B=34060, C=7810, qwerty=300
      Depends on the channel actions. Channel scores are combined into one.
      Channel A – The user can transfer points from the first account or start watching again.
      Channel B – Since the user is following the first account and the second account, they can combine them into one. That is 15670+34060=49730. Or choose the number of points on the main account, 34060.
      Channel C – The same case as in “Channel B”. 460+7810=8270 or 7810.
      Channel D – If in (3. Following channels) the user decided to import from the first account, the points are also transferred. On the other hand, if the user started following the channel again, the points are not transferable.

   Note: If the nicknames of the accounts are the same as the merge accounts, the points are not transferred in any way.

   1. The total number of messages is displayed in the User Card. The number of messages from the main account is displayed first, followed by the number of messages from the first account in parentheses. It looks like this: 68943 (4784)

   Possible limitations of the “merge accounts” feature:
   To avoid spamming this feature can be introduced a restriction, if the account is registered on Twitch less than 5 years, then the merge is not possible.

   Special designations: For example, you can change the color of the data that have been transferred from another account or make a special mark next to them. Like “*”, “this data was imported”.

   Rewards: You can create special badges. For example, “More than one”, given for the first merger of accounts. Also, in each user's User Card, add “Account Tree”. It is transferred from account to account with each use of the “merge account” feature, starting with the first merge account. The “Account Tree” displays basic information about the account.

6. Being able to completely disappear for some users.

   This idea would basically mean that you have the option to not appear for certain users. Some of us streamers sometimes don't want to be associated with streaming IRL, the problem is that it is really difficult, I myself want to stream again but most of my friends does know my channel, they don't know I did streams but they would see me in stream as they follow me, I've been blocking them, ignoring them, banning them, but they still can have access to my channel page, to my rediff, clips and worse part, to my description with all my external links such as my discord server.

   It would be great to add a new features in privacy settings that allow users to choose to completly disappear for blocked users, that mean a user I would block would not be able to see my channel with the URL tab and the search bar, neither see my clips, diff, and external links!

   I do think It will improve some streamers safety, and will help reduce the stress of being recognized by a friend of ours that could randomly find our channel!

10. Allow the use of "&" in usernames for duo streamer channels

    I would like to be able to use "&" for my username. This would benefit a lot of duo streamers, like myself, who don't use a singular name to represent both members.

    This would reduce the length of some usernames as well. This would also reduce the length of the emote prefixes, and make usernames easier to read in chat, as well as links.

    Please consider adding this option!

13. Following Groups

    Having a way of creating folders for groups. for example currently on the left sidebar when it shows channels live the list can span off the menu. Therefore, I am suggesting a way you can create folders such as 'Roleplay Channels' and then you can drag all those streamers into that folder. The side panel would then show a folder which we can colour or when hover displays the name to which can be expanded, to show the streamers within the folder.

15. stop sending annoying codes to "confirm login"

    Stop sending those useless "confirm login" nonsense codes. They do nothing to make it "more secure" or anything like that!
    Ist's just annoying annoying annoying and helps noone!!
    If someone wants tow-factor stupidity, one can choose that in the settings. I do NOT want this!!!

    Doing that just shows, that developers don't have a clue of real security!

    Greetings, Twitch support team.

    I am writing this email in reference to a streamer (Elsukr) who received a ban while I was live. I was on that live stream, and it was funny and nice. I think because her language is from Jeddah, a minority ethnic group in Saudi Arabia, Twitch transliterated her language wrong.

    I hope to restudy the situation. 

    We miss her. She was the one who got me out of depression.

20. Add a Queue List for username change

    Basically:
    If an username isn't available, allow the user to apply to a queue list of it, and the user will be notified when that username becomes available and allowed to confirm or decline the change. But here's a little few extra things:

    1. New users cannot join the queue for six months.
    2. Email needs to be confirmed.
    3. Having a confirmed phone number bumps the user up in the queue over those who haven't confirmed the phone number. 2FA bumps them further.
    4. If the username applied to belongs to an account that has gone inactive for a year (that is to say: no chat, no stream. Login activity and watch activity do not count), then that username immediately goes to the person wanting it and the inactive account receives a generic name (example: Guest123456) until the inactive user manually goes to change it.
    5. Spambot accounts should IMMEDIATELY lose their right to the username and the username should be readily available.

    Basically:
