AI Data Training: Opt-out by default; opt-in as an option; privacy policy needed
Twitch is moving forward with AI features which will be trained on our content to provide stream summaries, and potentially other features. Even if an option is provided for us to opt out of using those AI stream summaries, it does not prevent the AI from reading and using our content, as I understand it. This needs to be a separate account security feature on its own.
All streamers should be opted out of AI data training by default. Allow us to opt in if we want to. No one should be subjected to their content being used for AI training, especially when there is currently no public policy describing who owns that data and what is being done with it. Does Twitch own the data? Do we? Where is it being stored? Do third parties have access to it? Can we request its deletion?
We need a clear privacy policy for how our data is being used by AI, and who owns that data.

AI policy should opt in by default and I want an ai feature disable on my account. C suite morons can burn all their money on slop if they want, leave me the **** alone.

It can't be overstated that legit, no one asked for this. No one. It's summaries right now, but if spotify is anything to go by, I'm sure you'll be using our likeness for **** in short order.
It's disgusting that this is opt in by default. Completely gross, couldn't opt out harder if I tried. Even more disgusting is that I deleted twitter, and so if my chat hadn't told me, I literally wouldn't have known. No email, no notification, nothing. Despicable behavior.

twitch is on a "lose all their streamers and all their money" speedrun i see
all the money you spend on AI will be flushed down the drain like the waste it is if you shoo away all your money-makers

NO AI is the best option but I agree if they want to force it down our throats it should be optional and opted out by default

HEAR HEAR. What *should* happen is that Twitch shouldn't do ANY AI training at all, they are committing a huge corporate mistake by doing this, and I expect to see a lot of users leave for YouTube or even Kick.
But if they do go ahead with this foolish plan, they should make it so that all AI features are OFF by default, and there is an option to opt-in in the settings.

Again, this should be Opt-IN by default. We should have to choose to allow AI BS and data collection, not hope that we can turn it off since they have opted everyone in by default. This is exactly what you are hoping they will do with your wrong claim.

I agree that providing training data should be exclusively opt-in. Having it otherwise is the intellectual property equivalent of ****.

This is unclear, what do you mean by opt-out by default and opt-in as an option?
“Opt-out” means that a feature is on by default but can be turned off or “opted out of”.
“Opt-in” means that a setting is off by default but can be turned on or “opted into”.
AI features should be entirely “opt-in”: off by default, and people can choose to turn it on if they really want.
