Allow Us to disable "Streamer Shouts"
Please add an option to fully disable Streamer Shouts. The existing notification setting does not stop Shouts from appearing in the Streamer Shouts announcement/inbox bar at the top of Twitch. Even with the Streamer Shouts notification disabled, the icon continues showing new/unread Shouts.
If a user disables Streamer Shouts, there should be an option to stop receiving them entirely or at minimum prevent the announcement icon/unread counter from appearing.
Right now, disabling the notification doesn't actually stop the part of the feature that's intrusive.

Right now they're set to disabled and I'm getting them from accounts I do not even follow. Its completely broken and disabling it should actually disable it

I don't care about shouts, personally, I just want the notifications to stop popping up. I have the icon itself blocked, but I keep getting the icon that hovers next to it that I cannot block. To make that go away I have to turn the filter off, reload the page, click the button, turn the filter back on and reload the page again. If notifications are not going to work make the notification popup icon block-able and not simply slide over to the next icon on that bar.

Yes, very annoying that I went and disabled streamer shouts in my notifications, as well as disabled all notifications for each individual streamer I follow, yet still I still have the streamer shouts unread counter. I don't want to see shouts from every streamer I happen to be following. Allow me to disable them by default and only see shouts from a few select streamers I might actually want to see them from.

Lots of votes on this and +1 to it. The setting does NOTHING right now. I am being spammed with intrusive shouts every time I log in.

It's insane how they force this **** on their users with literal no consideration ever. Who wants to constantly be clearing out notifications of trivial nonsense people are sending out? If 7tv can't remove this and twitch don't let you turn it off I'm honestly going to stop using the site. Right now I am just unfollowing every person that sends one out. Twitch make it so hard to be a twitch user sometimes. I'll just watch streams on youtube with no ads and no barrage of notifications.

I turned off my notifications hoping that would stop me from getting them nope they just keep coming and I'm sorry but I don't really see a reason having this when Discord Twitter Instagram and so many other sites exist just for this kind of stuff.

Seeing new red dots constantly throughout the day on my Acivity bell icon in the app is very annoying. It's just something I have to go check what it is. Oh look it's a shout, not something important like a Whisper.
I am getting shouts from people I never followed or chatted. It says "sent to recent chatters" but I didn't chat. I was probably raided and there is a option to send Shout to raiders, but the shouts I get don't say raiders, said it was sent to chatters.
Does the block button inside a shout just block shouts or block the streamer? I think this is very dangerous and misleading if it actually blocks them. It could be someone you follow and follows you, when all you meant to do was block shouts.

I never asked for the shouts feature and I don't want the shouts feature. Let me disable it or stop getting shouts entirely please!

I’ve tried disabling the notifications so many different ways and none of them work. I still get the notifications. I had at least 20+ yesterday. I don’t like push notifications for social apps so I turn them off where I can, and the fact that turning Shouts notifications off doesn’t actually work is quite frustrating. Please fix this, Twitch.
I probably wouldn’t mind the feature so much if people weren’t spamming it, and if I could actually disable the notifications. I’d maybe even be open to the idea of being able to toggle which streamers you receive Shouts from, kind of like how you can toggle which streams you receive Live notifications for.
Overall, this feature sucks until the ability to disable notifications actually works. I can see the value in a feature like this, but in its current state it’s just not usable, and quite exhausting to navigate.

New features added should always have an "off" function. Some people don't want new things. Some people can't interact with certain things for accessibility reasons. Some people just don't like intrusive alerts. Please have a better user experience, Twitch. Please.

I personally like Shouts as a feature but I cannot use them until there is a proper option for people to disable them. I risk alienating those in my community that hate them as long as they cannot actually turn the notifications off. Asking Twitch to please make this an option so streamers like me who actually want to use the feature can use it without bothering our community members who don't like it.

Just got two shouts notifications as a mobile user and I hate more notification fatigue especially when it is for the community and not me. Such messages are for Discord not Twitch. I don't need to be bombared with notifications not specifically directed at me as a user. I understand some viewers don't use Discord but I can see this feature getting annoying real quick. Surely there is a better way. We have too many notifications all across Twitch as it is. Less is more.

I find them so aggressive. Even with notifications off, I'm still getting notified that they're waiting for me. I don't want them and they serve more as an advertisement for people I no longer want to interact with.
