My last comment was on May 31, 2026. I am commenting again urging Twitch to heavily reconsider proceeding with these genAI features. It harms the environment and steals from hardworking creatives. I truly cannot wait for the AI bubble to burst, because I'm tired of having to worry about AI training everywhere

I am so tired of having to worry about generative AI being forced upon me. Generative AI is horrid for the environment, steals from creatives, and harms real people. I don’t want it on the platform at all. It would be nice if Twitch actually listened to their userbase.

We don’t want generative AI. How many times do we have to say this, Twitch?

Reconsider using generative AI on your platform, Twitch. My biggest concerns with the use of generative AI in any capacity is the lack of ethics and the harmful environmental impact it has, as Spri has mentioned. You have an Artists & Makers club, why not collaborate with the members of this club - or any of the wonderful artists and creatives on Twitch - to create new category images? I’m sure there are many of us who would be interested in working on a project like this.
It is very disheartening to see AI generated images at all, but especially so when it’s used for the “Art” category. AI “art” is not art, they are just AI generated images. I’ve also noticed several other category thumbnails that look AI generated, which is very frustrating.
Please listen to the creatives that make up your platform, and let’s create some new thumbnails with the assistance of our human artists.
we do not want generative AI on the platform.

This is not the first case of doxxing live on stream that I’ve heard of recently, which is very concerning as a streamer who values privacy and anonymity. I think anyone who values their safety and the safety of others would agree that doxxing is not only unacceptable but ILLEGAL. Please improve how these situations are handled. An IP ban for users who doxx others is more than fair.

The clarification doesn’t even address the concerns people have. How can you determine what is a lived experience vs. sharing too much and needing a label? It’s far too vague, and I believe this label will only open marginalized creators up to more harassment and mistreatment, instead of protecting us from it. Please listen.

I’ve tried disabling the notifications so many different ways and none of them work. I still get the notifications. I had at least 20+ yesterday. I don’t like push notifications for social apps so I turn them off where I can, and the fact that turning Shouts notifications off doesn’t actually work is quite frustrating. Please fix this, Twitch.
I probably wouldn’t mind the feature so much if people weren’t spamming it, and if I could actually disable the notifications. I’d maybe even be open to the idea of being able to toggle which streamers you receive Shouts from, kind of like how you can toggle which streams you receive Live notifications for.
Overall, this feature sucks until the ability to disable notifications actually works. I can see the value in a feature like this, but in its current state it’s just not usable, and quite exhausting to navigate.
