1. Channel points for ALL streams

   So, I was an affiliate and decided to leave the program and really miss the interactive channel point system. It would be LOVELY if you all would give channel points to ALL streamers because it just makes sense. Channel points are a great way to have interactivity with your community and it SUCKS that I, a non-affiliate or partner streamer, can't use the feature. I may be in the minority of this though. My question is though, why is it only for affiliates and partners anyways? It's not like you make money off the channel points anyways, so it really just makes more sense for everyone to have access to them.

   We announced today on Patch Notes that we will be giving all streamers access to Channel Points. We will begin rolling out in the US on 7/28 and expand globally over the course of this year.

2. Allow streamers to give channel points to viewers/entire chat

   The channel points right now are just based on streaks and time spent in a chat. What would make it perfect is the ability to award your viewers or entire chat with an amount of points you choose as well. If it were possible to award points yourself in addition to the twitch integrated method of earning points it would be perfect.
   For example:
   -I could choose to award the whole chat 100 points each when we get raided.
   -I could choose to award a specific viewer 50 points for telling the best joke.

3. Larger Channel Point Icons

   Currently, the channel point redeem buttons require users to upload multiple sizes of image to the buttons, but it only actively uses the smallest uploaded image.

   This feels like a possible bug, but in the event it is not, I do feel as a suggestion to properly use the space, make the buttons more readable to the viewer, and possibly even provide better context to the buttons purpose, filling up more space on the button with the uploaded emote would improve the user experience greatly.

   Currently the emote used on each button is 28x28, my suggestion is to increase the size to 56x56. The buttons are currently 100x100 and have an empty space of over 30 pixels on all sizes of the emote we upload.

4. Channel Point Multipliers

   The point multipliers have recently changed so that it is fairer that if you are paying for a higher tier sub, you receive a higher multiplier. Unfortunately, as opposed to increasing the multiplier for higher-tiered, lower tiers had their multipliers drastically lowered to the point of not really being that different from a non-subscriber. Idk how it may look from the pov of Twitch Staff, but from a user, getting 12 points for passive watch time and 60 points for an active watch time bonus while a non-subscriber gets 10 and 50 points respectively just doesn't seem that fair. When the higher-tiered subs came out, it was initially designed for users who wanted to support streamers at a higher level (and as such a higher percentage of the subscription price would go to the streamer), but it has since been made fairer so that they actually are getting more for their money's worth, which was not the original intention of the higher tiers, but I understand it. Support your streamer more and get more from it at the same time.

   I understand why it's plausible to give higher-tiered subs a higher point multiplier but I can't fathom why Twitch would need to take away from regular tier-1 subs in the process. As a subscriber, we are quite literally paying infinitely more than someone who isn't subscribed at all (unless they were gifted). While it makes sense for a higher-tiered sub to have a higher multiplier, it doesn't make sense for the multiplier of a subscriber (formerly 2x, now 1.2x) to be almost identical to someone who isn't subscribed at all (1x). The difference is negligible, and because of that, I'm humbly requesting that the tier-1 multiplier be restored to 2x and if Twitch wants to, they can make a higher multiplier for higher-tiered subs.

5. watch streak resets

   i have recently experienced on a couple streamers i follow that my watch stream streaks automatically resets without knowledge of whats going on and why it reset. it is very frustrating having to have your count reset when you continue watching these streamers on a daily basis. there should be a fix to make the watch streaks not reset.

6. Allow up to 6 channels to count for points and as views

   I have had complaints from multiple chat users today that their channel points were not collecting. On further investigation myself I have concluded that Twitch have AGAIN changed their policy on how many channels views/channel points count for and have now reduced it to a maximum of TWO CHANNELS?!

   This is RIDICULOUS!? It impacts viewers negatively as many channels they watch will offer giveaways/rewards/etc. for channel points which they like to collect. In addition it impacts streamers negatively as it significantly lowers their average viewership.

   This is a LOSE LOSE situation for viewers and streamers alike. Please, with URGENCY, restore this to previous levels of 6 channels allowed simultaneously.

7. New Power-Up feature and it's shortcomings. Please update it!

   Power-Ups are a new feature that add to channel points. At the moment it's 3 bit redeems that you can spend. There's "Gigantify emote" which makes an emote huge in chat,
   "Message Effect" which makes your message extra flashy in chat, and "On-Screen Celebration" where you choose an emote to spam on the screen and make a celebratory noise.

   Here's suggestions to fix the complaints people have about Power-Ups
   - Allow people to toggle them off! (If nothing else, fix this)
   - They only sit above channel points, so have the ability to move them below the channel points section.
   - Have the ability to set Gigantify emotes to be only your emotes, have approved channels, and/or have blocked emotes

   TWITCH, if you really want to make money from using bits in the channel points tab (which isn't a bad idea if done right), just let people set up bits to their channel point redeems! Hold onto the bits for potential refunds for 1 to 2 weeks, and update the TOS to hold people accountable if they don't honor the redeem when money is involved. The new features themselves are ok, but don't force people to use them when this WILL overstimulate someone with visual processing issues! When these are spammed, it really can be a lot for some people!

8. Major Watch Stream Streak Improvements

   I think these watch stream streaks need major improvements for a few problems I have encountered since the watch streaks were started between November and December 2023.

   For example: Almost a month ago back in February 2024, there was one streamer I regularly watch (who I will keep anonymous) had some internet issues on their stream and it caused a lot of people to lose their big stream streaks, including me, from a combination between the internet problems and Twitch combined. I would've had a 100-day watch stream streak on March 8th, but because of that, my streak was reset. I originally had an 88-day watch stream streak the day the incident occurred, but because of that incident, I lost it along with many other viewers who had 70-plus to 80-plus streaks too. I feel that that isn't fair to a lot of people who are regular viewers to have that happen to, not just one channel in particular, but multiple across the entirety of Twitch as a whole that I have experienced and seen. Whether that's something as minor as an internet issue with a streamer, which shouldn't be their fault in any way or the one to blame, or Twitch glitching out and having issues to making viewers lose their watch streaks.

   Here are my ideas/suggestions to improve this feature since it's still in the "Experiment Phase":

   1. We, as the viewers of different channels, whether we're streamers or not, should be given the option to skip a stream or something similar implemented that won't affect the streak. For example: if you miss one stream, then it doesn't count towards the streak, BUT if you miss a second one, then it resets.

   2. If a streamer has internet issues or another issue comes up either on their end or on Twitch's end, whether you were present or not to that stream when the incident occurred, then there should be an option or an exception that doesn't count towards any viewer's watch streak and resets it.

   3. We should be given the option to be able to "Salvage" a watch streak even if we were to lose it, whatever the case was that made us lose it. Similar to like a "Get out of Jail for Free" card in Monopoly. This could be an idea/suggestion that if a viewer wants to get their watch streak back instead of resetting and having to start over like for those of us who had humongous watch streaks in the problem I mentioned above and my experience, then there's a way to do that. Again this can depend on each viewer per channel if they want to do that option.

   These are my ideas/suggestions for how the watch streaks can be improved here on Twitch to make this feature a positive experience rather than a negative experience for both viewers and streamers alike. It also can make this feature stand out and not be a copy or similar to that of Snapchat's SnapStreaks. I would like to see if these ideas/suggestions that I have provided can be implemented into the next Twitch update if this were to be a permanent feature going forward after the "Experiment Phase" is over.

   If whoever the feedback team is and the team that is working on this feature would take the time and read my feedback and take these ideas and implement and use them, that would be greatly appreciated. This would make a lot of viewers and streamers very happy for those who care about their communities, and choose to use this feature on their channels going forward.

9. channel points API

   I talked to StreamElements to get an alert for highlight messages in the new channel points feature, but they said this is not possible because of the API, I don't know how that works, but they said they need the API to make the alert working this will be possible soon?

11. Mods that are editors can "add" channel points and emotes

    Would it be possible to make it where a mod that has Editor to be able to add in channel points and emotes for their streamers, if that streamer does not have the time to do so? For example, I want to make a suggestion to add a 'hydrate' redeem , I could "add" it to the list, however the streamer must click "approve" for it to be on their channel. The same goes to adding emotes that isn't associated with 7tv or bttv, or other third party apps.

12. Improve the current stream streak by making it "Monthly Recap Streak"

    The way the current stream streak works is kinda pointless.

    You didn't miss 3 streams and you can share that you didn't missed 3 streams. And you only have another of that if you do miss a stream and restart another 3-stream streak.

    Do you remember that you have the "Monthly Recap" feature that shows you have XX of YY streams watched.

    Make the user the option to share at the first watched stream of the month how many streams he did watched on the last month.

    That would make it way more meaningful for the users to share.

13. Watch streak notifications spam

    Between both the Watch Streak notifications for channels where you may lose your streaks and the streamer side notifications to post clips or share VoDs for people to watch before they lose their streaks, the constant bombardment of notifications is too much. Please give us the proper toggles for notifications for these, as to my knowledge they do not exist yet. It places an unnecessary strain on myself as both a streamer and a viewer.

14. Allow viewers to opt out of channel points functionality

    I think a setting to remove channel points functionality for yourself as a viewer (either globally or, even better, on a per channel basis as well), including predictions. This would be intended as an accessibility feature for people who struggle with psychological problems such as addiction to gambling.

15. Tier channelpoint chests

    You have a chance to get a normal treasure chest and then you also have a chance to get golden and gem treasure chests that give more than the normal treasure chest but the golden and gem treasure chests are pretty rare.

16. chat popups/notifications on mobile

    change hype train and chat poll popups to not increase chat size and decrease stream size unless interacted with or add an option to not have that happen.
    Change hype train and chat poll popups to Open the chat and then do the same when the chat is closed/stream is in fullscreen mode. Both issues are infuriatingly obnoxious that should never have been a thing to start with.

    Basically it's a page where you can filter out by ascending/descending order in which channels you have the most channel points in, but it also displays if you forgot to follow said channels and if they're currently live along with their stream titles and displayed stats such as viewers/duration of stream, just kinda like your following/browsing page, but condensed nicely with the addition of being able to sort by channel points.

    Because I have this really weird quirk about me where I usually stick around a stream for a while before even deciding to follow, so sometimes I even sit on 5-10k points w/o following because afk and stuff lol.

    Sometimes a raid circle for a week can net you those points..

18. Present in Stream, Active in Chat… Streak Still Reset

    Has anyone else lost a streak despite being present in the stream for hours?

    I had a 58-stream streak in my boyfriend’s channel. I never miss his streams and I usually watch using Google Chrome. I’m mentioning the browser because Twitch support, whom I contacted previously by email, asked me to provide technical details about my experience.

    The last stream before the issue was on February 18th, and I was present for almost the entire stream (there are messages from me in chat for over 2 hours).

    On February 20th, I checked my streak and saw that it had been reset. I hadn’t checked my notifications before that moment; I only checked them after seeing the reset, because I was confused. That’s when I found a notification from February 19th saying I needed to watch content to continue the streak.

    This made no sense to me, since I was present for the full stream on February 18th, so I should not have received that notification or lost the streak.

    I’m very disappointed with Twitch in this case, because this was not my fault. I have lost other streaks before for not attending streams, and those were obviously my responsibility and I would never complain about them. But this time it’s my boyfriend’s channel — it’s very important to me, and I have always been there. The chat logs clearly show that I was present for hours.

    I asked if my streak could be restored manually, but I was told this is not possible unless it is reported as a frequent error among users.

    As a constructive suggestion to prevent similar frustrations in the future, Twitch could consider implementing “streak protectors,” similar to Duolingo. For example:

    • Allow up to two streak protectors.
    • Earn them through watch time (like Drops) or channel points.
    • Optionally acquire them with Bits if you don’t have enough points.
    • Allow users to maintain a streak on the next stream using a large amount of channel points (for example, 20,000).
    • Also offer the option to maintain a streak using Bits for users who don’t have enough points.

    I believe this would help prevent frustration when technical issues or circumstances outside the viewer’s control occur.

19. Make the watch streak able to skip once per streak

    I missed a watch streak reward because a streamer streamed 2 hours late and I went to bed. My Idea, once per streak if you miss a stream, it wont count towards that streak. If you miss a secound stream, then it resets

    Ex. Watch, Watch, watch, miss, watch, watch, miss, streak ends

20. Channel points and rewards scrollbar

    Please bring back the scrollbar on the channel points and rewards panel. Some of us aren't using mousewheels, making it impossible to scroll the window down.
