I just lost a 80+ day stream streak. Sat down and went through the vod where I was in the stream in the chat for over an hour. I’ve talked to the streamer they’re also astonished that I lost it. The only reason we can possibly think of is I was on mobile and in a different state than I usually am. I was using the Twitch app on my phone But as long as I participated in chat and was in stream I don’t believe I should’ve lost my streak.

Similarly I lost a 70 stream streak even after regularly participating in both the livestream and the vod afterwards. Incredibly frustrating that Twitch support will not even restore the watch streak manually.

Updating this thread since it just happened to me too 2 days ago: I got my 90+ day watch streak reset in a night without getting notified, even though I did not miss even a single stream. Was using both Firefox and Chrome browsers.

The way "Twitch support" (which is just a bot wasting your time by regurgitating the same 3 articles every time) completely mocked this by saying "Just write in the UserVoiceForum. We'll keep your watch streak h ostage :) even though we cant manually do anything about it at all, so soooorry ;_; If you get enough pple write abt this maaaabye we'll totally do something! lol ;))" even though multiple threads with mutiple pple have already written here...

Totally cool, if there's a problem ONLY fix it if "enough" thousands of people start making a riot. If it's only a "few" viewers (lol even subscribers or streamers in some cases) having issues then let them get bent.

I noticed that the view streak is credited at the same time as the channel points are awarded. I had a streak of 181 views, but I realized that no channel points were being credited. I stayed on the stream for an hour, then tried refreshing the page and even joining the stream from the mobile app, but nothing helped.

On the next stream, I saw that my view streak had been reset. I contacted support, but they were not able to help me. They only asked me to leave feedback. “Your opinion is very important to us” feels more like mockery than real support.

I think I will cancel my Twitch and Amazon subscriptions until the way you treat customers changes.

Mine got reset TWICE, both were over 100 on two different channels. E-mailing Twitch is useless, pretty sure it's AI and not a real person.

This has started happening to me lately. I've had very long watch streaks on a couple streams and they reset all of a sudden for some unknown reason. In fact today, right after I mentioned it to a streamer, the popup came up again saying I was back down to a 3-stream watch streak AGAIN which is extremely off. I know from speaking with these streamers that I haven't missed a stream and they haven't done something like an accidental restart of their streams, so this is annoying. My watch streaks are one of the ways I can show my support for my favorite streamers since I don't have a lot of money to show them support through donations.

Yup, Twitch don't care about your streak, just give them subscription money and be a good little bot.

Was 100+, it randomly resets. I was hitting 65 today but it resets again. Pretty sure they won't give it back...

Just adding to this. I have now noticed that, on more than one occasion, my stream streaks of 100+ have been reset even though I have never missed a stream. If I missed one, I wouldn't be so upset about it but frustrated doesn't even begin to cover the feeling when streaks reset for seemingly no reason. Either do it right, or don't do it

My watch streak of 295 was reset today on a channel I moderate, beyond frustrated is an understatement.

Lucky one of the other mods didn't lose his so he carries the torch for 365.

Please fix this Twitch it is a great feature

I was watching a lot of streamer... had one streamer with streak of 97 and then i was suddenly suspended on twitch for 4 days!

Suspended i have no way to use twitch services and i am unable to watch streams. Even if I would be able - i am not allowed.

After 4 days i was able to be back on twitch and use all services and Twitch told me that i am not penalized for this suspension.

In the meantime there was streams of the streamer i was not able/allowed to watch. I lost my streaks there. Streams close to 100 streams... I write a ticket to the Twitch support, which leads me here. There was one channel i really wanted to keep the streak...

Did I get my streaks back? No? Is that frustrating? Totally frustrating! I would have no problem if i missed the stream, if i had internet problems... but in my case i was ROBBED of my streak. I was not allowed to use Twitch and watch streams and they took the streak away from me. That should not be.

Twitch, how hard is it to fix this issue? Clearly it's been happening for a while. Obviously this isn't a major issue but it can't be that hard to fix either. Do better. Just disable this feature if you don't plan on actually fixing it.

I was on a 176 streak but the the streamer had a power outage before I could reach 177. When he came back, my steak went down to 1. Fml

Adding myself to this. It's incredibly disappointing when the streaks get reset even though I'm there for and interacting in every single stream without fail. Take it away if you can't make it reliable.

Was about to reach a 49 watch stream streak. I was watching on pc and haven't missed a stream and for no reason it reset to 1. This has happened to me before, but only around 20 stream streak and is annoying when it resets eventhough you're watching the stream (especially when the watch streak is high)

It seems there’s a persistent glitch in the tracking system causing these resets, and the feature isn’t performing as intended.

just happenned to me under my eye I was waiting to share my 90th streak and it went to 1... it sucks !!

I noticed that my watch streaks count doesn't grow up if I'm watching on android app. I also lost 50+ watch streak.

We really need something to be able to salvage the lost streak
like maybe channel points or anything

it really frustrating when you accidentally miss a streak like when the connection of the said streamer were having a problem and now you lost the streak because of it.

I would also appreciate if it didn't count separate streams in one day but as a daily streak. I had my internet connection die on me multiple times which resulted in 3 very short streams in one day, people lost their streaks because of that, even though they were present in at least one of the short streams.
