1. Ban streamers who show more skin then clothing

   I am tired of coming onto twitch an seeing so many female streamers posing half naked an making thousands from it. This is not a **** website. There are children who watch this daily giving away there money because they think they have some kind of connection with these woman when they just lie an manipulate there viewers for donations. For example writing there name across there breasts for a tier 3 subscription. Its a despicable act that you allow this on your platform. Also the way you treat your male creators vs. female creators is awful, have some pride in your job an not let you're **** to the thinking. Male streamers have been banned for removing there shirt in excitement from winning a tournament ,etc this is not equality. Also stop banning you're biggest income if you'll just unban them in a day, it shows how weak minded you are an how poor your team collaboration is between employees, which by the way all ex-twitch employees talk about how bad of a workplace it is.

2. Add a Moderator Complaint form to report bad faith Channel Mods

   There should be an option on Twitch to report moderators that are going on power trips and abusing their power. There are some viewers on Twitch who are getting wrongfully and unfairly banned from chats, or are getting sent derogatory messages from a moderator after sending an unban request. If a mod abuses their status as a moderator, then there should be some sort of form that allows viewers who have been unfairly banned and even been picked on by certain mods to send a complaint to have the specific mod in question investigated, even if they don't actually know who banned them. I was banned a long time ago from a chat and after sending an unban request stating that I have changed, a mod said I was 'dictating what they should do', and that the decision is final. That is completely out of the line for a mod to say and I was nice to them the entire time but then they backstab me and treat me with disrespect. There should be an option to report mods that do this kind of derogatory behavior through a Twitch request form where you can report a mod guidelines violation. Seriously, there needs to be some sort of form to report moderators that deny unban requests with out of line and derogatory responses or unfairly ban innocent viewers for completely idiotic, barbaric, and dumb reasons, or even for no reason at all. Coming from a user who was sent a degrading message from a mod about my unban request being denied, this is a feature that definitely needs to be added to the site immediately. I mean, come on. Reddit has one, so why can't Twitch?

3. Stop allowing suicidal ideation in usernames

   Seeing anything related to suicidal ideation is problematic for many individuals with mental health issues. There are a number of usernames with some form of suicidal reference in the name.

   This was used by some people shortly after the hate raid incident to target veterans with mental health issues, such as myself. Now, I continue to see usernames like this, whether targeted or not, and it is not something that should be allowed.

4. Users who are not signed in can go into Mature Content channels

   Hey,

   Since I couldn't find a category for it in Support, I will put it as a bug/idea.
   When you don't login into twitch you can simply enter names of "mature content" channels and browse freely.

   I tested it on Smart TVs, phones, PCs and went to several known "mature content" (18+) channels and watched freely.
   This means any kid can watch freely that content.

   I recommend enforcing it that Mature Content requires Age + Mail verification.

5. It's the copyright holders who are wrong.

   The fact that copyright holders are sending DMCA strikes for people who are listening to music during their stream is absurd. It's commercially absurd. It's ethically absurd and its practically absurd.

   First of all the behaviour by publishers is completely against their own interests and is completely ignorant of how people consume content on the internet. This isn't surprising given that these industries are essentially dominated by boomer dinosaurs who used to sell us CDs at 30 dollars a pop (30 dollars in the 90s).

   Now we can access any song we want with a click of a button. Most publishers provide a way for us to listen to their music, be it Spotify or Youtube. It's in fact really convenient and you can get many excellent versions of the same track, and the publisher gets their view.

   This is how I and most people consume music on the Internet. We do not play discrete CDs, and so forth.

   One way I am very certain that users do not consume music specifically is by seeking through mine or anyone elses's) twitch archive to look and listen to that song, which is probabbly mixed with in game sounds. Who the **** would do that?

   So that leads me to question where is the copyright danger here?

   There isn't one. This is a case of a law firm doing busy work to get paid by large copyright holders that don't really have a grasp of their accounts or their industry.

   But this practice actually hurts artists and by extension their puiblishers. Why?

   Because people don't get to hear their music. My generation, and the previous one tell me the same, that we don't get our music from advertising very much. Music is spread by word of mouth and by ear - a rewvolutionary concept for an aural medium.

   The use of these aggressive DMCA tactics by poorly configured automated bots commissioned by lawyers who don't understand the tech or the industry is inherently self-destructive because it takes money away from sales and artists - the primary function of a music publishing business; and gives it to law firms who suppress content - and by extension sales.

   Finally, the use of music in conujunction with a game stream or clips is arguably transformative. The pairing of msuic with action or visuals completely transforms and can add entirely different meaning to the work. It also can add a completely new emotional dimension.

   The pairing of music in films and in advertisements is demonstrative of this. Unfortunately content creators aren't often in ap osition to challenge the perversions of U.S copyright law often enacted by large unethical companies such as music publishers and movie studios. I mean, these are studios who employed serial rapists and Nazis, but they can be trusted when it comes to copyright?

   I don't think so.

   One would hope that Twitch has enough market leverage now to sit down with these publishers and say: "Hey, we think you are hurting yourselves here and this "problem" is an opportunity in disguise"

   Instead of removing the music, use technology to link viewers to the copyright material on youtube; link them to where they can buy it or listen to it on Google Play/Spotify etc.

   That would take much less effort than this silly game of smashing their own content and silencing the free advertising/ word of mouth about their own *** products*.

   I listen to music when I play, that's just the honest experience of watching me play. I don't do it for viewers, I just do it because twitch is a convenient source for uploading replays. I don't have the tools or the time to remove audio; and I'm not going to not listen to the music I don't like and own, in my own home, because Sony get upset when someone listens to one of their pedophiles on Youtube's quickplay by accident.

6. Sexual Content Verification and Consent Revision

   With the new Sexual Content and Content Classification rules allowing a greater amount of erotic dances and photography, will there be a way to verify user ages and their consent? I suspect this will need to be revised and implemented, else you could have people coerced into doing erotic dances for subs.

7. Suspension being used as a hate tool

   There has to be a better way before going into suspension of an account for something said either in private or public chats. I have experience 3 different people from the LGTBQ+ community be hate reported and suspended for "unsolicited sexual advances" and this being automated is a huge problem as the community can be targeted, you need to have person review this kind of reports before suspending as its not fair for people to get suspensions on the word of a report

8. Timestamp Feature for Reporting

   It would be nice to have the option when reporting someone to have some kind of timestamp feature that would take support directly to the place in the recorded stream video where the incident occurred. That way people wouldn't have to manually figure out the date and time/time zone or even provide a link to photo or video evidence hosted on a third party site.

9. When Certain Users are Permabanned from Twitch, Keep Them Permabanned

   The Account Enforcements page states, "For the most serious offenses, we will immediately and indefinitely suspend your account with no opportunity to appeal." Yet, some users get suspended from Twitch seemingly indefinitely but somehow get their suspensions lifted. Such users need to be kept off Twitch for good, especially if they've been suspended multiple times in a short time frame.

   For example, a user named DomDude64 has been suspended twice from Twitch within less than a month (9/25/2021 and 10/19/2021), but according to witness testimony, both times were supposedly permanent, and yet he successfully appeal both suspensions. His record of misconduct stretches back for almost eight years on Twitch and includes racism, ableism, sexually explicit content, bullying, doxxing, and spamming so much that he breaks stream moderation bots.

10. This a game streaming platform not a site for fan service.

    vr is blowing up and with vr streamers, lately alot of vr streamers have been slipping by some of the rules and its kind of concerning. if you watch most of the streamers youll notice that the content feels more like fan service rather than a reflection to the game and/or personality. i feel like the rules for vr in general should just be more strict since the creations of most of the creators has only been sex related if not blatantly sexual. please rework some of the gameplay guidelines so that vr has specified rules since it is somewhat still new.

11. Viewers should be given the opportunity to ban themselves from channels, to protect themselves and the channel creator/streamer

    I would like to suggest that viewers be given the ability to ban themselves from channels/streamers/streams that they know are not good for their mental wellbeing, but which they cannot stop themselves from watching if it is available to them.

    Similarly to how betting sites allow you to set limits on yourself, to help keep yourself in check, I would like to see users given the power to block themselves from a channel that they cannot resist typically, be it because they cannot control their financial actions, such as donations, or because they feel the channel or streamer in question provides negative feelings within the user.

    This wouldn't affect, harm or punish the channel or streamer, as they would be completely unaware and wouldn't need to do anything in response, but for some viewers, such as myself, it would be a deterrent that could help improve themselves from some negative aspects of Twitch many other users don't consider.

    The best thing would be a self-implemented user ban that would take 24-48 hours to undo, leaving the user with enough time to think over their action and whether or not they should undo their self-imposed ban. Alternatively, a simple permanent ban for those who feel this is the best solutions should also be made available, so users can control their exposure to streams that don't benefit them.

12. A verification method that can be used to clearly and unambiguously exclude bots

    Many streamers are currently being flooded by bots. There are no adequate filter mechanisms such as Captcha or other authentication methods that probe the creation of multiple fake accounts.

    Twitch should use a secure authentication method for account creation as soon as possible so that so-called bot accounts and fake accounts can no longer be created in the future.

    These bots make it unnecessarily difficult for honest streamers to apply for a partnership. In addition, it is almost impossible for streamers to prove that they have not bought or deliberately used any bots such as follower bots.

    Dear community, please share this suggestion as best you can so that Twitch takes active and timely action against the urgent problem of bot attacks.

    With twitch taking a large stake in livestreaming as a whole I feel it is best for twitch to branch out into allowing 18+ NSFW content on the platform.

    I propose that 18+ content is limited exclusively to verified 18+ users of the site, and is impossible to discover by default - but can be found using a convenient account setting.

    In this way ambiguity between certain game content and body painting can be eliminated by defining what makes content 18+ or not 18+

    A safe alternative to other NSFW live stream sites can be created through twitch in this way as well

    Create a database of commonly struck games that links with Game library on the dashboard. Then have a warning that displays when a streamer changes category to a game that is commonly struck by the game's (or music creator's) rights holder(s) so a streamer is aware and ready to deal action AFTER or make plans before.

16. Unmute Licensed Music when license is uploaded.

    I constantly get muted audio although I own a license for streaming those songs.
    When I appeal the muted audio it seems like nobody ever cares and unmutes it. And there's even no chance to upload a license to proof that I am allowed to play those songs in public.

    Please Twitch, please finally fix this!

    2. Unmute muted audio when proven that the license is valid!

    Especially with the current DMCA takedown situation in mind I truly believe more people would be willing to pay for licensed music to play if it wouldn't be muted anyway.

17. Overhaul Community Guidelines

    I know Twitch CEO went over this at Twitch-con San Diego 2019 with some good pluses towards this better chance. I have no idea when that will be implemented into today's Twitch Moderation, but hopefully sooner rather than later.

    But anyways, some things he did not mention was these ideas and should add-on or I would recommend a complete overhaul on the enforcement.

    • We should be able to see in our own dashboards of previous infractions that are on the account and not removed due to being expired or mistakened suspensions. We, as live streamers, or even users (non-live streamers) should have this access than we taking our own record keeping off the platform (which I still recommend especially when we are incorrectly suspended we'd be unable to view this data, at least with the current method of suspensions). Give examples and details on the community guidelines pages. Yes, I understand you want to make it easy to consume and appealing to read for the masses, but learn from other platforms with their community guidelines. Make videos even, pictures, and visual aids. They work.
    • On-stream violations, like actual violations, should suspend from streaming on their own channel only. Being a guest on another stream should be fine and not a death sentence to another streamer. The suspended streamer isn’t the #1 focus of the stream of course but still apart of the stream. I guess in some cases you/Twitch don’t want to associate with certain levels of suspended streamers and if that level is more extreme then yeah it’s understandable they shouldn’t be a guest on any streams on Twitch. But lower level should be fine. And your dashboard should show this level too for you, as the streamer know to not go onto any streams to be a guest as well.
    • Also you shouldn’t need to take their ability to be a viewer and contribute to the overall communities on twitch and their own. I think an on-stream infraction should be completely separate than off-stream infraction. Off-stream infractions like breaking community guidelines when interacting on Twitch’s platform then suspend their ability to chat i.e. global ban. You and I know, people will always make an alt account to evade suspensions to continue to being twitch user/viewer.
    • The intent thing with Twitch CEO mentioned should actually take place. CEO said if you didn’t have intent, you did not break community guidelines. And a lot of streamers granted did not read or just simply misinterpreted the community guidelines. As Twitch CEO said about safety / moderation is a global department and everyone has different in interpretations, same with live streamers, different interpretations. The suspensions should still exist for violations but it should not be indefinite based on no very clear intent. I’ve seen many live streamers banned because of misreading the context and misinterpretations from moderation. Let the live streamer give clearer context if needed than assuming as twitch moderation.

18. Broadcaster Able remove/rescrict followers

    I wanted suggestion that Streamers would be able remove a follower and set it the way he could not follow you again with a time limit or permanently. last year I contacted the staff about follower who refuse to unfollow even he hated me and always came back spy and lose my followers with false facts he never got anything of it. So I wanted to suggest this if anyone has similar situations, to get ability just simply remove the follower yourself and able control if you can follow you again.

19. Buying viewers

    Controversial yes - strip away the viewer count. Will prevent streamers cheating the system by buying viewers, will even the playing field. And those who don’t have a massive ego, won’t mind as will still see stats.

    With this latest TOS update, the only remaining difference between Twitch and Chaturbate is the fact that on the second you can masturbate on cam, which at this rate you will allow in a matter of months.
    A platform that fails to enforce its own rules is a failing platform, I honestly believe that within 2-3 years most serious streamers will have already moved to Kick or YouTube, because there will no longer be space on this platform for their content.
    Over time, Twitch will become a site intended for *********** and will remain only, as it already is now, among other things, a showcase for sponsoring your Onlyfans.
    In the space of 3 years you have gone from not being able to show your navel live, a rule that was actually too restrictive, to being able to show your naked breasts on cam, on a site NOT intended only for 18+ people (as some streamers say for fear of lose their money).
    The only thing keeping this platform going is the fact that it is part of Amazon.
