1. A (Custom) Category - Just one singular customisable option

   So it'd be one singular category for anything typed in that doesn't line up with another pre-existing stream category/topic that's able to be set. And it'd be whatever is typed but appended with "(*Custom Category)" following whatever they set.

   When viewers search for categories they'd have to set it to custom and then type in what they look for. And then the named results would specifically apply to anything under the custom category and only show stuff that's been set to a custom one (with whatever they typed being the thing that's searched for first - within what streamers have set as their own custom category/status)

   Commonly used custom terms that are similar can also have suggested/auto-corrected to the most popular/biggest one that's in use. (For the Streamer that is opting to use the 'Customisable' one) with the biggest suggested one overall getting considered to be an official preset category

   währe es um Betrug und unabsichtliche Unruhe zu vermeinen nicht Gut wen man Stream Together entweder nur beitreten kann wenn die Kategorien übereinstimmen und wenn ein Teilnehmer die Kategorie wechselt Sie/er eine Wahrung bekommt das das so nicht richtig ist. und nach 2min die Verbindung trennt? oder dann der Wechsel gar nicht möglich ist?. wir hatten die tage einige die meinten die Funktion zu nutzen ohne wirklich gemeinsam etwas zu machen. wir haben den einen von denen mal darüber aufgeklärt das das so nicht rechtens ist um nur die Zuschauerzahl in die höhe zu treiben.

3. add a rotation list of games you play

   Allow twitch streamers to post a list of games they have as their top games they play in their rotation. then suggest them to viewers of other streamers in the same category to gain followers when the streamer isnt live. or suggest their vod/clips etc. I think this would encourage a person to stream more if they get offline follows, video hits with some email notification, etc.

   Please make your clipping feature more accurate. At this time, every time you make a clip, it tends to move the actual clipped scene forward by like one second after uploading. This makes it annoying to capture the intended full clip. Thank you.

   Console gamers can currently stream only to Twitch (or sometimes YouTube) directly. To reach multiple platforms at once, they need a PC and a capture card, which is expensive, complicated, and limits audience growth. This makes it difficult for console creators to expand their reach and share gameplay across multiple platforms.

   Proposed Solution / Idea:
   Allow console users to select multiple platforms when going live from their PS4, PS5, or Xbox. For example, they could stream to Twitch and simultaneously broadcast to TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram. This could be built into the Twitch console app or the broadcast menu. Optional: let creators toggle which platforms to include.

   Benefits / Why It Matters:

   Simplifies content creation for console gamers.

6. Making platform-wide discount campaigns more flexible

   It would be great if Twitch continued to offer events like the discount promotions that streamers can set themselves, and also allowed them to combine platform-wide discounts. If that's not possible, it would be nice if individual streamers could decide for themselves whether or not they want to participate in platform-wide promotions. Of course, since I assume Twitch has a contract or something similar with each campaign, it would be enabled by default, and streamers who don't want it because they have another event, placement, etc., planned for that day would have to take action themselves. They would then have the option to disable it for their channel in the announced Twitch cross-platform events.

   ... Reasons in favor include the fact that I announced over half a year ago that I would be implementing my discounts on December 1st, but Twitch has a promotion with Discord until December 2nd. This feature would also be important because if Twitch collaborates with brands, there is a risk of competition from placements, and then contracts or similar agreements could be jeopardized because of Twitch.

7. watch streaks

   Allow streamer to track and see viewer watch streaks, so we can create rewards for long streaks etc. Maybe allow for channel point distribution to them or sub/bit discounts we can setup or maybe create special emote we can award to those with long streaks. We need to be able to see how many each user has(if they opt in to share them). Otherwise the share in chat doesn't provide anything to the viewer.
   Another idea is have preset auto rewards, something else but extra channel points, maybe as mentioned above, special emote.

8. Social media badges - creator content use

   Social media badges given for sharing streamer content on other platforms. Users end up just using your content to get views on youtube etc and the "#" that shows its your content and not theirs doesn't bring new followers or fans. Yes, you can disable the feature altogether, but that disallows any share! Can twitch require a direct link to twitch channel when streamer's content is used to get the person sharing (not content creator) views on other platforms?

9. Give Creators an Official @twitch.tv Email

   So here’s an idea I’ve been thinking about for a while, and I feel like it would actually help a ton with branding, professionalism, and the overall creator experience on Twitch.

   Twitch should offer creators an official email address like: CHANNEL@twitch.tv
   Something simple and clean that matches the channel name and represents the Twitch brand directly.

   Why This Matters
   Right now, almost every streamer uses @gmail or whatever personal email they made years ago for sponsorships, business inquiries, collaboration requests, etc. Being able to use an official @twitch.tv email would make us look more professional and also get the Twitch name out there more. Any time a creator fills out a form or reaches out to a brand, Twitch is right there in the address.
   It’s free advertising for Twitch and better branding for the streamer.

   Who Should Get It
   I don’t think it should unlock the moment someone hits Affiliate. Affiliate is a lot easier to reach now, and honestly, there are tons of affiliates who get it and never grow the channel again.
   Instead, this should be a milestone BETWEEN Affiliate and Partner.
   Something like:
   Hit and maintain X average viewers
   Reach X followers
   Maintain Affiliate status + 2FA + verified contact info
   Basically a “you’re on your way to Partner” type of reward. Something achievable but not instant.
   This would help give Affiliates another goal to work toward on the climb to Partner.

   Mailbox Size
   It doesn’t need to be huge:
   Affiliates who unlock it: 500MB–1GB
   Partners: 5GB–10GB
   Enough to be useful without Twitch needing to host massive inboxes for every streamer.
   (Forwarding support would also help keep storage light.)

   Email Format
   The main address would be: CHANNEL@twitch.tv
   And it would be awesome if Twitch supported + aliases, like Gmail does.
   So you could use something like:
   business+CHANNEL@twitch.tv
   collab+CHANNEL@twitch.tv
   All going to the same inbox.

   Extra Features That Would Make It Even Better
   Integration with Twitch’s stream calendar so scheduled streams and events sync right into the inbox
   Let creators choose their own signature
   Options to keep the email private, public, or business-only
   Built-in spam filtering so creators don’t get blasted with nonsense or harassment
   No monetization or paid tiers, just a legit creator tool and a perk for people who are taking their channel seriously.

   Community Impact
   This helps every level of creator:
   Small/mid creators get a professional way to talk to brands even before Partner
   Growing Affiliates get another clear milestone that motivates them
   Partners get a more robust inbox that actually supports high-volume communication
   Twitch gets its branding spread everywhere creators communicate outside the platform
   Brands instantly know the email is legitimate and tied to a real Twitch channel
   YouTube already has special contact systems for bigger creators.
   Discord gives verified servers vanity URLs.
   This is Twitch’s equivalent, and honestly, it fits perfectly with how creators already operate.

   Final Thought
   An official @twitch.tv email would be a huge quality-of-life upgrade for creators and a great branding move for Twitch. It’s simple, it’s useful, and it gives Affiliates something meaningful to aim for on the road to Partner.

   I really hope Twitch considers this, it would be a killer feature.

10. Add User Achievements (and new rewards)

    Gamify the platform more. A large portion of the userbase is gamers.

    Functionally, users engage better when they have objectives and rewards. Currently the backend has an achievement system for streamers to allow them to have benchmark goals to reach for their stream.

    So to capitalize on that, expanding the Drops & Rewards to include Achievements for both users and Streamers. Currently Streamer metrics are what the driving force behind available streamer achievements.

    This entire system would need rewards to be a driving force for users to engage with. Emotes, badges, nameplates, titles, profile pic frames, platform themes. This is a double-header here, as some of these functionalities do not exist.

    So what can a viewer achieve?
    Used Channel Redemption, Use X Channel Redemptions, Used Bits, Subscribed, Subscribed for a streak (on any single channel), Anniversaries (yearly), Sent first message, sent X messages (anti-spam delay on counting) used an emote in a message (anti-spam delay on counting), used X emotes in messages, participated in a poll, participated in X polls, accrued X channel points (final achieve at 1 million in a single channel), watched a stream together stream, watched X stream together streams, watched a recommended stream for 10 minutes, watched a recommended stream for 24 hours total time, participated in a raid, participated in x raids, follow your first channel, follow 5/10 channels, gift a sub, gift X subs, used a powerup, used x powerups, reach a watch streak of x in any channel, watched a Twitch stream, browsed the carousel on the front page, watched a stream in just chatting/DJs/Art/Music category, watched a clip, watched x clips, created a clip, created x clips, shared a clip, shared 5/10 clips, watched a story, used the mobile app, received a drop, earned an emote from a promotional event...

    And the list goes on. All of these are micro-incentives for users to engage and learn the platform. As users learn the platform more through some of these, they are incentivized to engage in it with further achievements and stretch goal achievements. A similar list could be added for streamers themselves, as the platform is a 2-part equation. Rewarding both sides for both providing and engaging both. Streamer-based achievements would be equally about feature engagement, both introductive and sustained engagement.

    As for new rewards, back to the other end of the equation. Emotes and badges are already a way for the users to have a modicum of identity. We need more. So light touches on the user-end, primarily cosmetic.

    Nameplates - A rarer cosmetic, a backer to your name in chat, your profile when viewed (when panel is displayed by clicking your name), and when featured in a stream-together title or @. The in-chat display of the nameplate would be a per-channel toggle, so streamers can turn them off for user-friendly engagement, but also may be toggled off from user-end for similar reasons.

    Profile Pic frames - Currently a highlighted feature best in example on Discord. A simple frame for your icon that would display in your profile (or popup when clicked in chat), would appear in the left shelf for recommended and the top right display of your icon on-site. A small visual frame to fit around your image.

    Platform Themes - We have dark mode, we have light mode. Some various unlockable gradients and other visuals for backgrounds or channel pages on native Twitch. Simple patterns, flat colors and patterns to not obscure features.

    Emote Shelf Expansion - Currently posted another idea involving having a shelf for users to select from their available emotes, this idea would go hand-in-hand with that idea, giving them extra shelves or space on those shelves in the emote selection window.

    Now how distribution would work? Well, certain achievements would unlock very specific things. For example Twitch's Bleed Purple, a staple of it's branding is the purple. So for a sort of site-pride engaging achieve, you might unlock a light Glitch logo (Twitch's site symbol) as a repeating pattern for a background.

    For the rest of everything however, achievements would award points of varying amounts for redemption in a basic shop. These offerings would be basic background colors/gradients, old offered emotes from promotions, simple frames, etc.

    To extend the shop however, Twitch can and should create a monetized front for that. If this occurs, I would recommend the focus on creators and artists, allowing users to submit, get approved and gain a profit when their item is sold. (It wouldn't be a free-for-all, just a strict entry/approval process and rotating offerings.) For a similar market example, see Warframe's Tennogen. (Regional offerings and exclusions obviously may apply, free achievement point shop would be global though.)

    This dual-front draws attention to all Twitch's current features and allows another monetization method for Twitch. The entire system being just a way for Twitch users to drive engagement and thereby improve quality of the site/service. By gamifying the experience, users may hopefully feel encouraged to engage more and through those engagements, more positively.

    Hello dear Twitch team,

    I have an idea that could help larger streamers in particular to better bridge downtime and keep viewer numbers stable: How about a kind of integrated “buffer” function for short connection interruptions or PC crashes?

    Problem: When a stream suddenly drops for a major streamer, viewer numbers drop dramatically because many viewers leave. This is not only bad for the streamer, but also for Twitch, because viewers may migrate to competitors or leave altogether.

    Solution: An optional feature that automatically plays a predefined video or short loop (e.g., “Be right back”) when the stream is interrupted, so viewers don't immediately leave the channel. This would help streamers retain their viewers, and Twitch would have more stable numbers.

    Added value: This feature could be offered as a small premium feature for partner streamers, for example. This way, both streamers and Twitch would benefit from more stable viewer numbers and better viewer retention.

    Please add the ability to filter / block tags in search results when looking through live channels of any given game.

13. A "People who follow you" filter for raiding out

    I wish the filter options weren't limited to "following, "people of similar or smaller size," etc..I have to have already organically found people on Twitch to follow. I want to be able to share the community with people who have taken the time to give my channel a follow, but unless I gave everyone who follows me a follow back, then I will never know that one of my followers is live when I'm ready for another streamer to entertain the crowd. I just think that a "people who follow you" filter would be a nice addition that could allow Twitch streamers to give back and engage with their supporters.

14. Raids affecting recommended

    Let there be an option for raids to not affect our recommended streams in browse. For, example because of a single raid now my recommended feed is full of streamers I have no interest in as far as what I usually watch. Now I'm sitting here clicking on 'Not Interested' on all of them until it fixes my 'Recommended For You'.

15. Allow Creators to Filter Out "At Risk" Streak Notifications

    While many of us appreciate the Stream Streaks feature being rolled out en masse to the creator userbase, there is a growing consensus that the notifications saying "X viewers are at risk of losing their streaks with your channel. Post Stories & Clips from your livestream to help save their streak." are annoying and hold no bearing on whether or not we as creators will actually jump on these "opportunities". There's been discussion among my peers considering simply turning the Stream Streaks feature off altogether just to avoid getting these messages, as they feel manipulative into pushing the creator to add even more tasks to our workload. If we have the option to filter out these notifications in "Settings > Notifications > All notifications on Twitch", that would be an acceptable resolution.

    It is very questionable to take away the support the lurkers give. I know a lot of people lurk in many streams and watch them in intervals, jumping from stream to stream. This is especially bad for small streamers, that are now losing their view numbers because of this. Max two streams at the same time to be counted as a viewer, is diabolical.
    This will hurt the small streamers in many ways;
    -Decreased numbers will destroy motivation and so small streamers will start quitting and their affiliate subscriptions will cease. (statistically there are more small affiliate streamers than big partnered streamers and it is unwise to destroy their numbers)
    -Small viewer count numbers sadly push new viewers away. It shouldn't be like that, but it unfortunately is. The false small count does harm.
    -Getting affiliate is harder, and so is getting partnered.
    -People want to often watch multiple streams or support their friends. Watching multiple POVs is a thing, switching back and forth. Now they need to make a decision to choose only two of their team mates or friends.
    -This discourages engangement alltogether.

19. Trove Drops Streamer Eligibility

    I use to stream trove pretty frequently, and the majority of viewers are there for the drops, and for some reason the drops haven’t been active for most streamers.
    Past few days the Trove section has been dead because of this, and I’d like to continue streaming the drops for my viewers. As most of them weren’t able to get their rewards for last week.

20. Banned chatters in stream together

    Accounts banned from one streamer who is streaming together with others should not be banned from posting in the chat boxes of the streams they are NOT banned in. Maybe some kind of option where their messages dont show in the chat of the streams they are banned in.
