1. Feature Suggestion: Viewer-Controlled Audio Channels for Streams

   Hello Twitch Team,

   I wanted to share an idea that I believe could greatly improve the viewing experience on Twitch.

   Currently, stream audio is combined into a single audio mix, meaning viewers cannot individually adjust things like the streamer’s voice, game audio, music, Discord calls, or alerts. Because of this, some viewers may struggle to hear the streamer clearly, while others may prefer lower music volume or louder gameplay audio.

   My suggestion would be to allow streamers to separate audio sources into individual channels/tracks that viewers could control independently during playback.

   For example:

   Streamer microphone
   Game audio
   Music
   Discord/voice chat
   Alerts and sound effects

   This could provide several benefits:

   Improved accessibility for viewers with hearing sensitivities
   Better viewer retention and comfort
   Cleaner esports and competitive viewing experiences
   Greater customization for mobile users and headphones
   Reduced complaints about unbalanced stream audio

   I believe this could become a major quality-of-life feature that sets Twitch apart and modernizes livestream audio in a very user-friendly way.

3. Proposal: Interactive Multi-Stream Dashboard

   Feature Concept:
   A dynamic viewing mode that allows users to watch up to three streams simultaneously within a single, customizable player window.

   Key Functionalities:

   Custom Layout: Users can select up to three different streams to be displayed in a tiled grid format on a single page.

   Seamless Switching (Single-Tap/Click): A single click on any of the active streams shifts the audio and focus to that specific broadcaster.

   Toggle/Minimize Mode (Double-Tap/Click):

   Double-click a stream to expand it to full-window mode for an immersive experience.

   Double-click again to minimize it back into the "Multi-View" grid, revealing the other two selected streams instantly.

   Why this matters:
   Currently, users have to use third-party websites to watch multiple streams. Integrating this natively into Twitch would significantly increase User Retention and Watch Time, providing a much smoother multitasking experience for the community.

4. VOD progress bar highlights "memorable moments"

   It would be nice to see the most memorable/eventful parts of a stream by clicking on highlighted parts of a vod's progress bar.

   It could correlate to when clips are made and authorized mods could also tag an eventful moment quickly.

   Similar(?) to how the "most replayed" feature works on youtube. As far as how users interact with it.

   Looking thru clips the way they exist now can be annoying/slow and there are often many similar clips of the same thing with often poor titles that provide no context. Im sure some people like watching 8hr long vods to see what happened but i just want to see the highlights without unnecessary frustration/wasted time.

5. Shared Viewership for Official Co-Streams

   I would like to suggest a feature aimed at improving the ecosystem of official tournament broadcasts and authorized co-streams.

   Currently, when an official esports broadcast (such as League of Legends, CS, or other tournaments) allows co-streaming by approved creators, the viewership is split across multiple channels. For example, if an official broadcast grants permission to a co-streamer, a large portion of viewers may watch through that co-stream instead of the official channel. As a result, the official broadcast does not fully reflect the total audience it is actually reaching.

   My suggestion is to introduce a "Shared Viewership" system for authorized co-streams. In this system:

   The official broadcast would act as the “primary” or “parent” stream.
   Authorized co-streamers would be linked as “child” streams.
   Viewership from co-streams would count both toward the co-streamer’s channel and be aggregated into the official broadcast’s total view count.

   This would allow:

   Tournament organizers to accurately measure total audience reach.
   Co-streamers to continue growing their own communities.
   A stronger partnership between official broadcasts and creators.

   Optionally, Twitch could visually indicate that a stream is an “official co-stream” and display combined viewership metrics across all linked streams.

   I believe this feature would strengthen the esports ecosystem on Twitch and provide more accurate data for organizers, sponsors, and viewers alike.

6. Accessibility for deaf people on Twitch

   I’ve been a long‑time Twitch user and recently became deaf, and I’ve realized there’s no built‑in way for viewers to enable captions on live streams or VODs. Right now, the only way to get captions is if the creator manually sets up an OBS plugin or a third‑party captioning tool, which means console streams like PS5 have no options at all, and viewers are left with zero ways to follow the audio.

   This forces me to be stuck reading the chat and watching the streamer’s facial expressions to try to piece together what’s happening, which is exhausting and still leaves me missing most of the actual conversation. This makes accessibility depend entirely on the creator, even though Twitch is a multi‑billion‑dollar platform that should be providing basic closed captions as a standard feature.

   Deaf viewers shouldn’t have to rely on third‑party accessibility tools or beg creators to turn something on; Twitch should move away from making accessibility the creator’s responsibility and add a native button that lets any viewer turn captions on themselves, so we’re not locked out of content just because the broadcaster didn’t enable it.

7. Twitch Horror Creator Club Proposal

   Twitch Creator Clubs were introduced as a means of creating a space for like minded creators, and I would love to propose the idea of a Horror Creator Club! I’ve had this idea for quite some time, honestly, long before the creator clubs were a thing, and I think utilizing this UserVoice and finally putting my ideas out there to gauge interest would be the best idea. I believe the Horror space has a WIDE variety of creators (and developers) and having a safe space for these individuals to come together and share ideas would have such a positive influence on the creator community within Twitch.

   After the Halloween event showing users utilizing the “Fright Fest” category when streaming horror games, it honestly made me think, why can’t we have something of this nature year round? Horror is such a broad genre that encapsulates a ton of different types of games. There’s your AAA horror titles, countless indie horror titles that no one has ever heard of, multiplayer horror/horror adjacent games, horror events that happen within games that may not be classified as horror, and there’s also a ton of developers on the platform in the horror genre always looking to branch out to new creators who might enjoy similar content.

   A Horror Creator Club could work together to bring all of these creators together in one safe and cohesive space on the platform. This club could be an incredible tool for creators to utilize, to be able to find like-minded streamers and creators without having to wait till the one month of the year when this genre actually comes to the forefront. Outside of October on Twitch or the drop of a brand new viral indie game(or AAA game), finding other horror creators is tough and for those who do heavy variety when it comes to horror games, it’s almost impossible.

   The draw for a Horror Club is certainly there and it is incredibly present between the creators who try to link up in outside Creator Programs, as well as at in person meetups at cons like Twitchcon and Pax. I have attended several horror gaming creator meetups at twitchcon, pax east, and other conventions, and they have helped me to find and discover so many new individuals who share the same passion for this genre as I do. Horror as a genre also brings up the topic of Mental Health many times and honestly I find it so important that in playing these games as a community, we continue to bring up these discussions around the importance of mental health and keeping open communication with these topics. The Horror community as I’ve seen thus far, has hosted countless charity streams, in person events, and panels at various cons to discuss our love of horror gaming, the importance of talking about the serious topics that can be within these games, and has further brought creators together with a common goal of constantly spreading awareness and creating safe spaces in the process. This club would be a great space to help creators in planning further charity events, in person panels, and potential meetups even outside of just the few big conventions a year, that many creators cannot always afford to attend.

   I think a Horror Creator Club not only will aid in bringing the VAST amount of horror creators together, but will also serve as a safe space in the Twitch community as a whole, to push for more togetherness while playing games that many others may judge us for enjoying. There are so many outside teams, creator programs, discords for specific games, and more, but why not have a space where ALL of those creators can meet under one horror genre umbrella? Overall, I think this general space to connect would be an asset to Twitch and would allow for horror creators of all types to come together to further uplift these creators and this genre we all love so much!

   I highly implore individuals who think Twitch would benefit from a Horror Creator Club to comment, share your ideas, and insights into why you think this would be a great addition for Twitch to include! Horror is a genre enjoyed by a vast amount of individuals of all walks of life, so this club will open up a space for so many creators who may not yet feel as if Twitch has created a space for them yet. I would love to help foster a community and club for creators like myself who love all things horror, ALL year round!

8. If you have a channel banned or blocked they should not appear as a "Suggested Collab"

   If I have someone banned in my chat, for whatever the reason may be, I feel like they should not pop up on the "Suggested Collab" Tab on the left hand side of the "For You" side bar.

9. Alert me when certain categories had a viewer/follower spike

   As a new streamer trying to find an audience*, one way that occurs to me to do so is by piggybacking off of popular variety streamers who happen to play a game I like. Viewers think the game is cool and want to watch more of it, but now the variety streamer in question has moved on to something else. I'd like to identify events like this for certain games or categories and be notified of them.

   For example, I really like a game called "Drova: Forsaken Kin." It's not very well-known and as a consequence doesn't have much viewership. However, let's imagine that some popular variety streamer decides to play it for a day (Without Loss of Generality, we'll imagine this streamer is Asmongold) As a result of this, many viewers think the game looks cool and follow the Drova category hoping to see more of it in future. However, Asmongold quickly gets bored of it and the next day he's back to reacting to stuff on Twitter or whatever he does all day (IDK, I've only watched him like twice). In theory, if I were to subsequently stream Drova, some of the viewers responsible for the spike in category follows would check out my stream.

   Manually following a large amount of categories for unpopular games I play could be difficult, especially since it's not possible to separate my followed categories into subsets of "games I play and would stream" vs "games I just watch" or whatever.

   I could try to implement a scraper and scrape a specified set of categories periodically, but Twitch might disapprove of this and also it would be a large amount of work.

   I looked at the API, but there doesn't appear to be a way to retrieve this information via the public, documented API which is intended for consumption by developers. If we look at

   the relevant information is the line near the top which (currently) says "75.3K Viewers, 315K Followers" (which I would be looking for changes to). However, this information does not come from the Developer API but from the GraphQL api. To wit, a query to Directory_DirectoryBanner returns

   However, since the GraphQL API isn't documented for developers, I don't think I'm supposed to be using it. And I don't know how much work it would be to fetch the information (e.g. the query has some kind of HMAC and I don't know how it works or if a standard library supplies it).

   So it doesn't seem straightforward to implement this via an extension. So it would have to be implemented by Twitch, unless I'm missing something.

   *I'm not really actively trying to grow a stream. However, when I considered doing so earlier, one of the things which discouraged me was not knowing how to go about finding an audience, so it's kind of accurate. Also, I'm just trying to write this in user-story format, and I'm probably not the only person with this concern, so whatever.

10. Streamer Drop Rewards

    Regarding the current Twitch Drops system, as I feel it is unfair to streamers in its current form.
    I understand that Drops are designed to reward viewers for watching streams, streamers themselves do not receive progress toward Drops while they are actively live.

    This creates a situation, especially for time-sensitive Drops. When a streamer is broadcasting, they are dedicating their time and effort to creating entertaining, engaging content that helps attract viewers and encourages participation in Drops campaigns. However, because they are streaming, they are often unable to watch other streams and therefore cannot earn the same rewards their viewers can during that time.

    I believe streamers should also receive Drops progress while they are live and participating in eligible campaigns. Since streamers are the ones providing the content that makes Drops successful, it would be fair to recognize their contribution alongside the viewers.

    A possible solution could be:

    Granting Drops progress to streamers while they are actively live in a participating category.
    Allowing stream time to count similarly to watch time for eligible Drops.

    I appreciate Twitch’s efforts to support both viewers and creators, and I hope this feedback can help improve the Drops system so it feels more balanced and rewarding for everyone involved.

12. Stream Together should maintain watch streaks

    If you have watch streaks with multiple members of a stream together event, you shouldn't have to load each of the streamers individually to maintain your streaks.

13. Stop Writing Creators off when you can't find a solution to a problem you created

    I'm not sure where exactly this should go but twitch disabled my embeds. And how do i know they did this? Cuz if i put anybody's channel in my embed they work. But the second I use my own channel name i get an error code saying twitch refuses to connect. I create a ticket and send screenshots and everything. And when twitch help couldn't find a solution or admit they disabled my embeds they just wrote me off and said thank you for contacting support let us know ho we did or some stupid **** like that. These embeds are on sites that are approved by twitch. Why does twitch do this? why is twitch constantly making it harder and harder for small streamers to get views? Why does twitch hide small streams so they don't have to pay out? Ever since I've been bringing this stuff up my channel keeps having weird issues. Like when I upload an emote for the channel, it doesnt get approved like others, IT just sits there waiting for approval and nothing ever happens. Not until i created a ticket about it and then all of a sudden the emotes got approved until the next time I uploaded some. For about 3 months twitch wouldnt run ads on my channel stating that I was view botting. Totally viewbotting with 2 viewers rofl. They didn't stop that until i made a big stink about it on youtube and twitter. All because I keep letting the people aware of twitch's underhand and dirty tactics theyve started to employ since amazon took over.

    1. The Core Problem

    Currently, Twitch discovery is a "Winner-Take-All" system. New and mid-tier streamers are buried under a "Directory Floor" where they are statistically invisible unless they already have thousands of viewers. This encourages "Viewbotting" and creates a "glass ceiling" for talent.

    1. The Solution: Hype Points & The Discovery Wheels

    We replace the static "High-to-Low" viewer sort with two dynamic, interactive Discovery Wheels located at the top of every category.

    • Category Health: It revives "dead" categories by giving them their own internal leaderboards that aren't dominated by the same 3 people every day.

    • Gamified Fun: Watching Twitch becomes a "team sport." You aren't just a number in a chat; you are a "Booster" who helps your favorite creator succeed.
    • Better UI: The wheels provide a clean, visual way to find "what’s hot right now" without scrolling through endless thumbnails.

    Now Twitch did have a "boost this stream" hype train but it was executed as a "cash grab" or a "pay to win" which viewers and streamer saw clearly.

    there was a category carousel but it functioned like the front page, there was no way for a small or new streamer or even an affiliate to be able to go on it.

    And having a shorts feed shows off more clips and verity making people either clinking on those or scrolling past it making viewers look at the category with more care.

    This system would reward viewers and streamers for doing things that twitch wants us to do already, with clear direction from all parties.

    NOW IMPORTANT!!!!!! If you limit this to only partners it will fail. this needs to be a thing that everyone has access to! The point is that it turns existing features like the achievements, hypetrains, and carousels into things that everyone can contribute to. Twitch grew because of interaction. Twitch is failing to recapture it. Twitch is a gamer website, we should gamify things as much as possible. If you don't want lurkers then reward active chatters. If streamers want discovery then give them a way to do so that benefits you and is easy to understand to even a casual viewer. This system is aimed to reward active viewers, reward hype trains and give streamers a reason to ask for subs. It also makes it harder to fake engagement!

    Now I am not good at math or deciding how we should distribute the cost of hype points per minute on the trending wheel, but it should equalize the opportunities making people want to grow. Adding quality over quantity. Especially if you can only be on the wheel for an hour and have to wait 3 hours before reattempting to go on it again. Have this be a button on the dashboard so streamers can promote themselves!

    So far I have talked with my stream circle and they have worries yes but if it was a thing they think it could work. Big streamers would not like it and come up with excuses to shut it down but that's because it brings competition and makes view bots harder to fake growth.

15. stream team

    Following all members of a stream team is so tedious right now. Either you click through each name, follow, and then go back, for each member, or you have a million tabs.

    My suggestion to improve this experience:
    - Add a "follow all" button on stream team pages

17. Browser Games Category

    Some variety streamers like to play games on Newgrounds or other browser-based game hosting sites. Seeing as these types of sites aren't traditionally allowed on IGDB-- it only makes sense for this to become its own Twitch category instead.

    Ich finde Drops sollten kein Ablaufdatum haben und für immer gültig sein, de man nicht immer, wenn man ein Stream schaut und einen Drop bekommt, dieses Spiel auch zockt und der Drop dann für umsonst ist.

19. Co-streaming main channel title stomps partner channels

    Trying to watch ESL Birmingham, esl_dota2 is the main channel, with ‘Co-Streamers’ for the other match broadcasts. My followed channels list has the main channel title for all the other channels, even the hover panel, making it impossible to see who is playing without clicking into the stream for each channel. This seems like an obvious bug to resolve.

20. Allow viewers to tip moderators with bits or money

    It would be nice to have a feature where viewers can use bits to tip moderators. Or a portal that viewers can access to donate money. The streamer should be allowed to decide how to split up the bits or money across their mod team. This allows the streamer to "support" their mod team from bits or money specific to the mod team. Each moderator would get a portion of the earnings that is determined by the streamer.
