1. Loop Clips, Add Seeking, and Show Live Chat in Empty Space

   Twitch Clips should behave more like modern short-form video while making better use of Twitch's unique live context.

   The current clip should loop instead of automatically moving to the next one, viewers should be able to seek backward and forward, and the empty space around landscape clips should be used to show the clip title and the live chat from that moment.

   Problem

   The current Clips viewer still feels less natural than platforms such as YouTube Shorts and TikTok.

   Viewers cannot easily move backward or forward within a clip, and when a clip finishes, Twitch automatically moves to the next one. On most short-form video platforms, the current video loops until the viewer manually swipes to the next one.

   Twitch Clips also do not fully take advantage of something unique to Twitch: the original live context and the reactions happening in chat at that moment.

   Example

   When watching a funny or surprising moment from a livestream, I often want to replay a specific part immediately.

   Many livestream clips posted on YouTube Shorts also use the vertical format effectively by placing the original landscape stream in the center and using the space above and below it for titles, comments, subtitles, or reactions.

   Twitch already has access to the original stream and the live chat from that moment, so it could provide this kind of experience natively.

   Proposed Solution

   Add a seek bar so viewers can easily move backward or forward within a clip.

   When a clip finishes, loop the current clip instead of automatically moving to the next one. The viewer should manually swipe when they want to watch another clip.

   When a landscape stream leaves unused space above and below the video in the vertical Clips viewer, use that space to display the clip title and the live chat from that moment.

   This would bring Twitch Clips closer to the interaction patterns viewers already expect from modern short-form video while still making the experience feel uniquely Twitch.

   Expected Benefit

   The goal is not simply to copy other short-form video platforms.

   Twitch can adopt familiar short-form viewing patterns while adding something those platforms cannot easily reproduce: the original live context and community reaction.

   This could make Clips easier to watch and replay while turning them into a better way to experience memorable live moments together with the reactions and atmosphere of the community.

2. Ajouter un format « Vertical » dans la présentation des clips Twitch

   Avec l’arrivée du streaming vertical sur l’application Twitch mobile, il paraît logique d’étendre cette évolution à la création et à la modification des clips. Ces derniers pourraient en effet bénéficier du même format pour mieux correspondre aux usages actuels.

   Aujourd’hui, dans la section « Modifier la présentation » d’un clip, deux options sont proposées : « Complet » et « Empilée ». Je suggère d’ajouter une troisième option, appelée « Vertical », qui viendrait se placer entre les deux.

   Fonctionnement envisagé

   Les trois options seraient donc les suivantes :

   Complet | Vertical | Empilée

   • Complet : conserve la présentation actuelle du clip.
   • Vertical : adapte automatiquement le clip au format vertical utilisé par Twitch sur mobile.
   • Empilée : conserve le format empilé tel qu’il existe aujourd’hui.

   Le mode « Vertical »

   Ce mode reprendrait les mêmes dimensions et proportions que le stream vertical du streamer. L’idée serait que Twitch récupère automatiquement les réglages du stream vertical configurés par le créateur, notamment lorsqu’il utilise OBS ou un autre outil compatible avec ce format.

   Ainsi, on obtiendrait un clip réellement conçu pour les écrans de smartphones, sans passer par un logiciel externe pour recadrer ou convertir la vidéo.

   Disponibilité avant et après la publication

   Le bouton « Vertical » pourrait être accessible dans plusieurs cas :

   • lors de la création d’un clip ;
   • lors de la modification d’un clip déjà créé ;
   • depuis le Tableau de bord des créateurs pour les clips publiés.

   Twitch pourrait également mettre en place un aperçu en temps réel, afin de permettre au créateur de vérifier le rendu avant d’enregistrer ses choix.

   Pourquoi cette évolution ?

   Le streaming vertical prend de l’ampleur sur Twitch mobile, et il serait cohérent que les clips suivent cette orientation. Concrètement, cette fonctionnalité offrirait plusieurs avantages :

   • des clips mieux adaptés aux smartphones ;
   • la fin des recadrages manuels avec des outils externes ;
   • une présentation cohérente avec le stream vertical du streamer ;
   • un partage facilité sur les plateformes qui privilégient le format vertical ;
   • davantage de liberté pour les créateurs lors de la préparation de leurs clips.

   En résumé, il s’agirait d’ajouter une option « Vertical » entre « Complet » et « Empilée », avec un rendu automatique basé sur les paramètres du stream vertical. Une amélioration simple à appréhender, qui permettrait aux clips Twitch d’évoluer en même temps que la plateforme.

   May be the wrong category. Just throwing out an idea 💡
   I like watching clips..
   I think it would be beneficial for everyone.
   If we could repost other streamers clips into the clips feed if they allowed it to be “public”.
   A repost button 🔁
   So people that follow us, even if we dont stream. would see that clip an that streamers info, they would be able to follow or repost as well. It would help the clips get more views, attention, discovered, growth to streamers ect. Its connecting more people together. Exactly what its all about.
   They get a little preview of preferred categories of interest. They can like, follow , repost to their followers & the circle continues.
   Should really consider it.
   I know it would benefit everyone in a positive way. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

   Please add a multi-channel audio feature that allows streamers to send independent audio tracks to Twitch, giving viewers the ability to toggle or mute them individually directly within the video player.

   Currently, Text-to-Speech (TTS), alerts, and background music are baked into one single audio track. This can be annoying or overwhelming for some viewers, while others rely on TTS for accessibility.

   Giving viewers the option to mute specific audio lanes (like a dedicated TTS lane) in the player settings would drastically improve the viewing experience and customization for everyone without forcing streamers to use complex third-party extension workarounds.

8. Video Producer VOD player waveforms for clipping.

   When viewing a VOD as a streamer on the back-end through the Video Producer page, that video player should have a visual waveform like what YouTube Studio's editor tab has. It allows for talking portions of a stream to clearly be visible. You can click to those areas to see if it's worth clipping. The current video player is pretty useless when trying to find clip-able parts of old streams.

9. Twitch As A Streaming Service

   The problem is, every time I want to watch a movie or a TV show, I search online to find which streaming service does stream that movie, so many options and the cost pile up, usually I either pirate it or just forget about it.

   So many streaming services, both in US and elsewhere, cost pile up and confusion happens.

   Twitch and Prime Video -- both being held by the same mother Co., Amazon -- are positioned to create the best movies and streaming service there is.

   The idea is, you would create a "Movies Library" on Twitch just like the "Category" section on the platform that has the different video games to stream, this library would be a mirror of the library of content on the platform "Prime Video".

   I, as a user, would be able to create a Twitch channel to stream movies ONLY TO SUBSCRIBERS, I would make a business out of this channel, I subscribe to Prime Video AND to a new "Twitch Prime Streamer" subscription plan so that I am allowed to stream the lib from Prime Video to my subs.
   I would create a schedule of streams and my channel's username could be something like "@HorrorStreams" or "@RomanceMovs" or the like.
   I would run my computer during the times of streaming to stream the movie full screen no commentary directly from Prime Video.

   If there is a user who wants to watch a movie but not pay for an entire monthly subscription to a streaming platform, the user can just go to Twitch and pick the movie from the library and go to a streamer who is streaming it, subscribe to that streamer, playback the VOD from the beginning and start watching.

   Someone who loves a weekly weekend horror movies would subscribe paying 1 or 2 dollars a month to "@HorrorMovies" that has a public schedule of weekly or daily horror movies on Twitch.

   Maybe allowing viewers to playback the stream from the beginning is too much control, but for a dollar I get to watch the movie I want with occasional ad breaks -- for snacks refill mid-movie -- I would totally do that and I do not mind the strict schedule where I have to attend to watch the movie on time because I can't roll it back to play from the beginning.

   Then you would implement a feature where I can connect the schedule of "@HorrorStreams" to my calendar so that I can keep up with them.

   The ideas are limitless, Twitch would be "THE STREAMING SERVICE".

10. having separate video quality when viewing multiple streams.

    For the last week or so, I have had an issue while viewing multiple streams. I have streams at different video qualities because there are some I just listen to and usually only have one that I am viewing. For context, the reason I do this is because my internet provider has a data cap, so I only have a good video quality on the stream I am actively viewing.

    This issue is that for the last week, when I change the quality on one stream, within a few minutes other streams start changing to that quality automatically.

    For someone that is trying to efficiently use bandwidth this is problematic.

    I've been using Twitch for years, and have had no issue with this for years. it has only been an issue for the last week. I have not made any changes myself, same browser and so on that I have been using.

11. Add 10/30 second skip buttons to VOD player

    Can we get quick skip forward/backward controls when watching past broadcasts, similar to what other video platforms offer, to make navigating VODs easier 10 to 30 seconds should be fine it’s hard scrolling through time line on an iPad especially long ones the smallest finger scroll could be 5 min or something and trying to re watch something 10 seconds ago you could have to go back multiple minutes just to see it again. I only watch on iPad not sure if this is just an issue for iPads only or just the platform in general

    When exporting clips to social media, automatically create an image with the Twitch logo and channel name so viewers know where the clip was created and where they can find similar content. Allow users to move, resize, or move this image in the "edit layout" section.

13. location restricted video resolution

    Some streamers stream in 1440p resolution which isn't available for viewing globally so we are stuck watching in lower resolutions (which is mostly fine). However, a lot of the time the next highest resolution that is available is 720p, which is subpar in 2026. Please let us select 1080p in those cases.

14. Watch Streak Not Being Counted

    My Watch Streak is not being counted correctly. I watch every stream ENTIRELY and it does not count it sometimes. I tried to recover it, and it would not work. I should not have to try and recover it when I was ACTIVELY chatting during the entire stream. I lost my 25-day streak with my friend channel name: berxe. I would like to hear back about my streak being restored.

15. Being unable to fix a problem, just because you don't want me to.

    If we choose a video quality, WHY do you think we don't leave on "automatic"???? you did put automatic change on the other options too.
    OFTEN my video is reduced to 32p.

    Please... Automatic is automatic, manual is MANUAL. ("but the video gonna be laggy." I don't care if I choosed so)

    For me, its a bug, because it's not doing what I asked it to, but I do think it's intended by you, but I really hope it's not, cuz stream is dying global wide, and it's sad to seeing you making me leave.

    Donner la possibilité de filmer en 16:9 au lieu d'avoir imposé des barres noires de chaque côté de l'écran en format paysage lors de la mise à jour du 27 avril 2026.

17. Localized Display Names break Clip Author links (404 Error)

    Hello,
    I found a technical bug regarding localized Display Names (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) in the “Clip Creator” section.
    The issue: When a user with a localized Chinese display name creates a clip, the “Author” link on the clip page points to a non-existent URL using Chinese characters (e.g., twitch.tv/我喜欢...) instead of their actual alphanumeric username. This leads to a 404 error page.

    How to replicate:

    2. Change sorting to "24H"
    3. Broken behavior can be observed.

    Every other date range works properly (eg. 7D, 30D, ALL).
