Give us more control what kind of ads are shown If you are going to force us to keep seeing ads, at least give us, as viewers, more control what kinds of ads we see. Like, on Youtube you can choose to give them info like location, age, gender, interests, etc. so you won't be shown ads that are obviously directed at a group of people you're not a part of.

I think there is nothing as annoying as 90 seconds of adverts in the middle of a broadcast while watching a broadcast I think there is nothing as annoying as 90 seconds of adverts in the middle of a broadcast while watching a broadcast. 8 10 15 seconds of adverts have a certain acceptability, but 90 seconds should be a joke. turbo can be purchased to avoid this, but it should be subject to regional pricing. 7 dollars is definitely not a suitable figure for watching a broadcast. many tv platforms are cheaper than this.

Reduce number of adds. Amazing how ad-centric the site now is. I end up just closing the window or opening a new streaming service when I feel they become overwhelming. Add more picture in picture options.

Disable ads when entering a new stream. Nobody wants to see an Ad right as they enter a new stream. If they click on a stream from the main page or from a raid, nobody wants to watch it immediately. Me personally I exit as fast as I can and go watch someone else instead of ads. Viewers would be more inclined to stay around if watching ads wasn’t the first thing they got.

Allow streamers to cover ad revenue cost I've seen it listed before long ago, but I wanted to make sure it was known that it is still be wanted. Most streamers on this platform are very small, ads are a constant nuisance, and streamers are constantly trying to find ways around them with I know at least some (myself included) who refuse to accept affiliate or other because of the ads.
As such, the idea is the following: Have tiers where the streamer can pay to not have ads for the month. Simple.

Let streamers purchase the ability to prevent ads from displaying Ads disrupt the continuity of many streamers' broadcasts, e.g. a musician playing a song, a magician performing a trick, etc. So please implement a feature that allows streamers to prevent ads for all followers. You could charge a monthly fee. Many would gladly pay for this.
To other streamers up-voting this feature, please consider telling us what you stream specifically and how ads hurt the quality and continuity of your stream.

RE Scheduling Ads I do understand that Twitch needs the ads that run during the streams for revenue but I find the unpredictable timing of the ads to be very problematic.
I very much wish that I could schedule the ads to run at a regular time. My preference would be at a predetermined number of minutes before the bottom of the hour. If I knew that they were coming every hour at that time then I could plan accordingly. Replace fullscreen prerolls with new Stream Display Ads Full-screen pre-rolls are a huge obstacle with user experience and streamer discoverability. Users do not want to browse new, unknown streamers because watching a fullscreen 30s ad before getting to check out a streamer is annoying. It's a huge deterrent so users tend to rely on their go-to streamer. Replacing the forced fullscreen preroll with a Stream Display Ad instead will encourage users to once again check out new streamers.
This change would be a massive improvement for both viewers and streamers.

Gambling ads shown to Finnish viewers, but they are illegal here I, as well as some other users, have recently noticed that Twitch has started showing online casino advertisements to Finnish viewers.
Advertisement of any kind of lottery games or gambling is very strictly limited by law in mainland Finland, only being allowed for one government-owned company and only within very specific guidelines and situations. For example, any games that have a risk of causing addictions can only be advertised within the casinos themselves; never on TV, magazines, outdoors etc.

Why do i see adds on the stream from the streamer from Russia? I was looking for https://www.twitch.tv/voodoosh stream.
It was interrupted by 30 sec adds. Hint was saying that streamer taking a pause.Its is not true, stream was continuing as usual, because of the stream i missed the content.

Warning of suicide ad I just encountered an ad that features a teenager committing suicide and his father frantically trying to get into his room to save him. I understand that this ad is for awareness but I know multiple people including myself who have lost people to suicide and my cousin shot himself as his family was walking in. With no disclaimer, it completely derailed the stream and took me by surprise. I would like to advocate for a disclaimer feature for ads that viewers might find disturbing. Don't show online casino ads Since we in Sweden are not allowed to join in and participate in channel-point betting on any stream here on Twitch, how about Twitch refrain from showing us advertisements from ACTUAL online casinos?

The logo on the player should be either not present or be able to toggle off by the viewer, it blocks content (streamer camera, text from the game, avatar).
The banner above chat could be 10x smaller, I dont need 2 huge logos to know that the streamer i watch is being sponsored, just place a smaller banner.

Placement of Vertical Ad Bar Is there a way for users to specify the placement of the new vertical ad format somewhere else besides between the chat and the broadcast window? Is there a way for streamers to move it to the left of the page (like under the follower bar)? Or is it locked to the right-hand side of the frame? With the entire page in dark mode the brighter adverts are little distracting and makes it difficult to read chat when streaming on smaller laptop screens or mobile.
