Replace fullscreen prerolls with new Stream Display Ads
Full-screen pre-rolls are a huge obstacle with user experience and streamer discoverability. Users do not want to browse new, unknown streamers because watching a fullscreen 30s ad before getting to check out a streamer is annoying. It's a huge deterrent so users tend to rely on their go-to streamer. Replacing the forced fullscreen preroll with a Stream Display Ad instead will encourage users to once again check out new streamers.
This change would be a massive improvement for both viewers and streamers.

PLEASE stop the full screen ads.
They don't help promote any product, they just annoy everyone.I have never seem stream display ads in the 3 years I have been a streamer and viewer
PLEASE push Stream Display Ads to all and stop full screen ads

Those new Stream Display Ads are great and I'd be way more keen to have more ads more often if they were those Stream Display Ads rather than the full ones that take away stream being viewable.

This would Be massive. Since right now I have to run ads to remove pre-roll. It would be nice to have a option between stream display ads vs full on ads. For pre-roll & Mid-roll.

Making SDA the permanent way ads are rolled out will make stream hopping much smoother.

intrusive advertising is absolutely a deterrent to users viewing new streamers or even spending time in streams they don't subscribe to. this suggested feature would be a great way to keep viewers' eyes on new, unknown streamers that are trying to build or grow an audience.

It's so bad like whenever I get a raid I don't know when to welcome the new people because I'm not sure if they can hear me. I even think the ads needs to be silent. I don't have a camera and rely on my voice. So silent ads but big window and small window with the streamer and audio.

Having to remind myself to run ads just to avoid these pre-rolls that I find insane that are mandatory is ridiculous

These fullscreen ads have driven me insane for ages and made me give up searching new streamers entirely sometimes.

Changing Twitch’s pre roll ads to the SDA would allow viewers to freely check out streams without fear of a 30 second ad playing before they even check out the stream.

This would be a platform-wide upgrade, starting with Twitch themselves.
Much of daily life is wrapped up in advertisements, but cutting into live content is such an interruption that casual viewers could be turned off the site entirely. Fit the ads to the medium.
Let us have our space, we're willing to share a portion, just not the whole screen please. 💜

If we had SDAs replace full-screen ads that block the entire stream, I (and my subscribers) would happily have them on if it meant revenue without interrupting the broadcast.

I’ve had days where the first stream I open has a pre-roll ad, and I simply closed the app and didn’t open it again the rest of the day. It’s not only hurting the streamer, but twitches viewership as a whole. This is a common sense solution for everyone.

I would literally use stream display ads for my entire stream if it meant I didn't have to use fullscreen ads at all. as others have mentioned here and in countless other places, fullscreen pre-roll ads kill discoverability for small streamers.

You have less than 30 seconds to sell yourself and your content when any viewer loads your stream, whether that’s from the directory or a raid and pre-roll ads interrupt this experience for everyone and discourage new folks from discovering new streamers and actually sticking around through the ads.

Ads in corners of screens has been needed for so long. Dont interrupt the whole show.

I would rather share my screen/player with ads then rather replace my the whole player/screen.

Full screen ads have ruined raids. The viewer can't see the streamer's response and the streamer has to sit there waiting for the ad to be over for any sort of interaction with the raiders.
You have those first few seconds to sell yourself to new viewers before they click away and that's completely removed from you by an ad. -

Pre-roll ads actively discourage me from seeking out new streams. This would go a long way to help discoverability of new people
