Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads!
These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown.

They don't help promote any product, they just annoy everyone.I have never seem stream display ads in the 3 years I have been a streamer and viewer

Agreed!
As someone disabled, I can't do all the things I need to in order to get viewers due to lack of discoverability and the fact that only partners with tons of viewers and followers get seen on the homepage and at the top of channels.Us smaller streamers, especially who are disabled, can't do all the same promotion to get seen and we are just always at the end of lists.
Give up more discoverability!

So many votes yet no Twitch reply....
We, the disabled, often can't do the things that abled people can do and we work so much harder trying to promote and get seen due to lack of discoverability.
At least let us be seen on the homepage by featuring various disabled streamers.

Being disabled means even though streaming is my only job and I put every ounce of effort in, I get nowhere. I have been streaming over 2 years and it is hard to grow when no one sees your stream as it is at the bottom.
We can't do all the things abled people can do. Why should be be at the bottom of the list with a few viewers because we can't network or do the promotion needed.
I do everything I can and need 3 days bed rest from 1 3 hour stream.
We should have some form of promotion and a homepage for disabled streamers would be nice.
We work harder than you ever could know but get no recognition at all.

Small streamers have absolutely no discoverability.
The home screen is purely promoted streamers and large streamers.There is a "Recommended smaller communities" category, but that is impossible to get on and a lot of the streamers in that category aren't even small!
They are 30-180 viewers which isn't really small. It is more average tbh!Please do something to help promote small streamers.
Either accept actually small streamers in the "Recommended smaller communities" category OR do something that that helps smaller streamers get viewers! Maybe feature actual small streamers on the homepage or change the channel sorting so that you can't sort high to low viewers! Maybe that would help.As someone who has streamed for 2 and 1/2 years every single week, putting 110% effort in whilst being severely chronically ill, disabled & housebound and still barely getting viewers as there is zero discoverability for small streamers.
Please do something positive for us.
We are completely ignored and we don't feel a part of twitch as we are treated so differently!

I am in the UK and not only is the 50/50 cut much too much, but the fees on top and currency conversions make it so we get almost nothing.

On the about page/under the stream video, the panels change how many columns depending on if there is a chat window open or closed and changes again depending what display size and browser you are using to view the about page with!
So when you are streaming and/or the chat window is there, the about panels change from 4 to 3 and the 4th columns merges into other columns so all panels are messy and all the order you have from arranging panels has gone!
They should be fixed to 3 or 4 columns permanently, no matter what display size a person has or what browser they are using, so that the panels don't get merged into other columns or moved around randomly.
You can arrange things to have some sort of order and neatness and now when the stream is live & the chat window is there, that order changes and turns to mess.
And if someone is using a different resolution to the next person, it changes again. Much too messy!Please have a fixed amount of columns no matter the user display size or browser, and make the order of panels fixed so that don't move about and look very messy!
Should be super easy to fix this.You spend this time making panels look nice and it changes for everyone depending on what display size and browser they have, and also changes if the chat window is open or closed.
Should be fixed to say 3/4 columns no matter what resolution/browser and if the chat window is open, they shouldn't move.
Have less columns if needed but have them fixed to a certain amount so they don't change position so you can keep them in order and a fixed position.SirenHellVixen

Hey guys! We really appreciate the feedback that has been brought forth in this thread and just wanted to update you a little bit on what is going on.
This change was originally made to guard against raid bot attacks. While smaller raids are currently viewable in activity feed in the dashboard, we are working on a solution that treats raids equally while guarding against abuse tactics.

All raids count and all should give a notification.
Maybe add an option to turn off notifications from smaller raids if needed but don’t make so they don’t show at all.
Stop discriminating against smaller streamers.
