Suggested streams not only by highest viewer count
The browsing itself is great, I like that we can browse separate subcategories (for example in Gaming) like Shooter, Action & Adventure, Role Playing etc but it would be great if the shown streams weren't all the highest viewer counts. Yeah it increases the discoverability but only if you're in the top 5-10.
Maybe there is a way to display random streams from that category/subcategory? A mix of different channels would be great so streamers with lower view counts don't disappear. Especially because expanding the subcategory only gives you a few more streams, not all of them. Normally we can sort by highest to lowest, lowest to highest or recently started; would be great to see something similar. Letting us filter by tags would be great, too.

This would be so nice. I understand that the huge channels deserve love too, but it'd be cool to see far more small channels listed in my recommended.
If we want the huge streamers, chances are we'll search for them ourselves because we know their names; we don't typically have that info for a small creator that we may end up loving, so the promotional help would be cool to see.

Isn't it so unfair for viewers with low ratings not to be able to be seen in JUST CHATTING because there's no LOW to HIGH setting anymore in just chatting?
I hope the twitch developers bring this feature back and that people vote in favor of this.

I understand why the “low to high” filter was removed by Twitch, but honestly it is so very bad for small streamers. I do believe safety is most important especially with young streamers, but what about the negative impact of removing this filter? Many of my small streamer friends have suffered immensely from this filter being removed since not all of them have fancy PCs, etc. All they can do is Just Chatting, but they’ve noticed their viewer counts drop dramatically since this filter was removed from the category. It’s not just bad for small streamers, but people who enjoy watching small streamers because you can actually have a conversation with them without your message being slowed or lost in a flood of messages like it happens on bigger channels. Isn’t the point of filters to help us find what we want with ease? I really think this needs to be addressed as soon as possible. A new filter, a better way to keep children from being able to sign up in the first place, something, anything!

I am so glad someone else sees the problem with this. I completely agree with you! Twitch PLEASE fix this.

As someone who loves watching and supporting small streamers, it is very discouraging to find them through looking at all the streamers playing a certain game.
Right now there is a filter option which can be either set to "Recommended" or "Viewer count high to low". This would mean I either have to look through my recommended (which are also not very accurate as most of them are just streamers with 100+ watchers right at the top) or scroll all the way down if I filter on "high to low" viewer count.
By making "Low to high viewer count" an option in the filter everyone would be able to find small streamers easier and give them some support (:

Allow sorting by "lowest" viewers - you can sort by highest viewers already but if you wanted to scroll to lower - the site struggles on most browsers.
Or you could add ranges (e.g. with view count 10-50, 51-100 etc) - it'll help smaller streamers gain exposure to grow.

Pls revert my follower list back to streamers being listed by viewer amount or add a way to change it and stop forcing people into experiments without their knowledge thx. (one of the most dogsh*t ways to sort followed list)

Can't find neither big/mid/or small streamers efficiently anymore. Probably wasted more then an hour of my time since it was implemented, searching for Streamers I was able to find before (by just approximately knowing how many views they usually get) in mere second.
Please revert this as soon as possible.
Edit: I'd also appreciate a button where I can give a thumbs down on Ideas. This one deserves it.

I'm having a super hard time finding the streamers i use to watch due the confusion on the tab, and most of them are super small streamer (20-50) viewers which is the opposite of what you're trying to make... Like all the other on this thread i was not asked to be part of this test and we can't even turn it off/ask to be removed. Please revert those changes on our accounts.

If you are going to 'sort based on viewing behaviour' and my most viewed channels are consistently at the bottom it looks more like an experiment in promoting partnered streamers instead of making it a more enjoyable experience for viewers. Please give anyone in the experiment the option to opt-out because it's actually making me unfollow people so the list looks less ridiculous.

This is the worst idea I can imagine...so Twitch does it to my account without my consent, sends me to this forum that I completly don't care about (because it's useless), then proceeds to ignore my support ticket. Shutting down my account is the right answer to this?

They started this experiment without my consent on my account. All my follower list are totally mixed now and it confuses me a lot.
Please TWITCH, don't do this. I like my list as it is. Or at least give us a sort option. -

Please revert this. Now all the streams are jumbled up and I have a hard time finding the streams. The default sort to viewer count is easier to navigate as I have a general idea of where I should scroll.

I was unfortunately one of the viewers who were forced into this experiment. I dont like it at all and i cant even revert it

REVERT NOW!!! I NEVER ASKED TO BE APART OF THIS experiment. I hate having random views your site thinks i want to see at the top of my list. I miss live events which normally would be at the top of my viewer list and now have some little streamer showing up at the top and big streams lost randomly in the following order. To TOP it off you give us NO OPTIONS to change this condition.

Stroze__ commented
Please revert! I like it when its in order from highest to lowest. The only thing you did right was keep greekgodx on bottom, I watch him the most but hes always at a low view count now a days but hes still at the bottom. It might be a bug because i think this new system was to help small streamers.

I HATE this idea (sorry). I tend to browse a huge variety of people and topics. An OPTION to "view by" and not being forced to have one or the other. The option to choose what order we view our followed list would be preferred.
