Please remove hypecreep
Please remove the hypecreep emote.
I have arachnophobia and I think I speak for all of us who have it that it creates unnecessary anxiety.
I watch twitch to relieve anxiety and relax.

I'd be fine with it staying if we could intuitively just hide/ban specific emotes from our chats through moderation settings.

The fact that it’s even called “Creep” shows that they KNEW it would be triggering for some users, but just didn’t care. Absolutely disgusting.
At least let users remove it from their own library.

FFZ what's that, is it on the app store?

Zzzoook commented
Omg you guys know you can just stick the emote on your FFZ ignored-words list and stop harrassing people who like spiders, right?

I seriously just cried because people were spamming the symbol. Please remove.

NEW Hype Train Emotes?

New Hype Train emote with the spider freaked the **** out of me. I'm terrified of spiders. Whoever allowed this to be an emote, I hope a spider crawls on your face and you have the worst nap ever.

I too have many friends that suffer from arachnophobia. I just got the HypeCreep emote, and seeing how a mere glance at an unmoving spider severely affects my friends, I cannot ever use this emote in good conscience.
If you want to keep HypeCreep, please think about adding content filters to your service that can prevent users from having to engage with triggering content. -

Don't take away my HypeCreep emote, it's the best one in the new set outside of HypeSquawk, and I paid good money for it.

I cannot fathom why anyone at Twitch thought this was a good idea. Literally the most common phobia out there. This emote is extremely triggering for so many people. If you happen to "earn" it you also can't get rid of it.

I don't have arachnophobia myself, but this emote is a bad idea on several levels. there's the obvious issue of community members who *do* have arachnophobia, but as others have pointed out in these comments, it also just doesn't match the theme of the other hype emotes. if the hype emotes were a larger variety of animals, I could see the argument being made, but they're exclusively dogs and cats with this one random spider.
at worst, it's triggering for people with this phobia. at best, it's nonsensical design.

Upvote. Too many people with arachnophobia in the world for this emote to be casually thrown around in chat.

I have arachnophobia and was unfortunate enough to have "earned" this emote through a hype train.... now not only do I have to worry about others putting it in chat, but I see it every time I go through my emotes. It's constantly triggering and I have no way to get rid of it. Please remove it?

I don't have any issues with spiders but this emote was a bad idea for community comfort - also it has nothing in common with any of the other Hype emotes in this release? What made you decide this was a good idea along with puppies and kitties?

Should never have been added!!

As someone who loves spiders: I care more about the comfort of my community / the Twitch community as a whole than I do about seeing cute spoods.
I know there's always going to be someone out there with a phobia of something, but arachnophobia is a big one for a huge number of people.
Please remove it and replace it with something that's at least in a far lower position in the percentage of common phobias.

I think this is self explanatory and am genuinely shocked that Twitch even thought a global emote like this was a sensible idea.
