Have some ads that don't play sound nor interrupt the stream audio Automatic mid-roll ads would be much better for the streamer and viewers if there's ads that doesn't interrupt the stream audio content totally, instead just taking most of the screen to display the product/service advertised, with the stream visual being shown in the picture-in-picture. Leaving it as an option (if mid-roll ads have sounds or not) to the streamer would be the best so you could know what the creators want to have on their stream. I know silent ads usually doesn't pays as much as full video ads with sounds, but having less intrusive ads would allow you to…

make the ad run above chat instead of the stream Ads are intrusive, annoying and serve no real value to a viewer or creator in a live streaming platform. But if they must exist, why not make them not so intrusive to the experience?
Currently the PIP solution does nothing good for either party. It still essentially shuts off the stream on a whim and if people don't know where to look, it's all but gone for the time the ad is running. Why not put the Ad window where the stream window goes now, and let the stream keep running as normal, so we continue our engagement with the…

Enable picture by picture for pre-rolls Please enable picture by picture for pre-roll ads. I'm a small streamer and I feel a lot of people aren't willing to sit through a 30s or longer ad break just to see if my stream quality is good or chat is active or if the preview image is accurate to what I'm actually doing on stream. Picture by picture would fix this by enabling them to check out the stream and chat whilst the ad plays in the main view.

New ads that are like stream display ads but with muted video, are now taking me out of fullscreen all the time. New type of ads that are like stream display ads but with muted video, are now taking me out of fullscreen all the time. Meaning I have to manually set it back to fullscreen, possibly dozens of times within an hour. It's really annoying and is hard to enjoy watching.
I've watched Twitch/Justin since 2007 or so, and I leave streams on a lot. If I had an OLED I'd be worried about screen burn-in. Please don't leave Twitch with this issue forever. Falling asleep with our bookmarks/taskbar/etc. showing all night isn't going to be good for our screens.

Put the ads in the corner instead of the stream Guess this is more for browser viewing but instead of making the stream tiny and muted to show the ad, flip it around so the ad is in the corner of the screen and muted instead. I'd be more inclined to let an ad run through if it didn't unnecessarily take away from the content I'm trying to watch. It'd be less intrusive and be more like a banner ad, serving its purpose but out of the way.

Suggestion: Improve Ad Delivery on Desktop/PC to Boost Viewer Retention and Reduce Platform Migration One of the biggest challenges Twitch f Suggestion: Improve Ad Delivery on Desktop/PC to Boost Viewer Retention and Reduce Platform Migration
One of the biggest challenges Twitch faces today is viewer drop-off caused by intrusive mid-roll and pre-roll ads, which interrupt the live stream and often lead to missed moments. This has been a major complaint from the community for years, contributing to declining viewership on many channels and even pushing some viewers and streamers toward competitors like YouTube or Kick.
A potential solution specifically for the desktop/PC viewer experience (while keeping mobile unchanged): Instead of overlaying or replacing the main stream video with ads, why not…2 votes -
Picture by picture video feed quality Currently if you have a stream open at let's say 360p and the streamer runs mid-roll ads or if you get hit by a pre-roll ad, the picture by picture video player quality isn't the same as the one that was set in the original player, the new player will default to auto which shouldn't be happening and it should default to the original quality option.

all ads should be only run in a corner of the screen as to not cover up the stream. All ads need to run in a window on the stream instead of blocking out the stream for up to 20 seconds. Every ad that runs makes me AVOID the products shown like the plague because they are INTRUSIVE and BELIGERENT is brute-forcing advertising about items I have absolutely NO interest in.
