How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. Any ad ran, either manually or through the Ad Manager should count towards the creators 3 minutes per hour of required ad time in order to earn the 55% split. After reading the following text in the Ad Manager support page, it became clear that manually running ads while I am taking a quick break to stretch or grab a drink, those ads are actually hurting my overall revenue split.

Can Affiliates earn 55% ad revenue splits by running ads manually, or via a third party tool?
No. Only ads run via Ads Manager (at 3 minutes or more per…

  2. I participated in the Ads Incentive Program since it launched, but kept it at 1min/h throughout the entire time. With the recent updates, that option has been removed - the new minimum is 3min (!!!). Twitch is not a show on TV, the content is not paused during ads, a LOT can happen and be missed in 3min.
We hardly get anything out of running ads if we don't participate in the AIP.

Please bring the 1min Ads Incentive Program option back for everyone :C

  3. Currently the only way to review ad incentive agreements per month is by taking a screen shot and comparing it to the revenue stats for ones Twitch channel.

However if there ever is a dispute between payouts and incentive agreement, relying on screenshots is going to be a weak argument (since they can easily be photo shopped).

Making it possible to view past ad incentive agreements would benefit transparency and would help if there ever was any kind of dispute.

  4. Small Channel barely growing up but I have a very solid circle of viewers who are willing to support the channel by watching ads since they are not able to subscribe and here comes twitch placing a soft ban on my ads. I understand that they're trying to engage with real viewers but nothing gets more real than the friendship I have with my viewers and the support that they have been showing the channel so please twitch stop interfering I'm trying to grow as a channel I'm trying to become successful like every other major channel that you guys…

  5. Am I watching streamers or ads? Because every time I come to a streamer page, it seems like it's an ad, not a stream. I am confused. Maybe if you re a streamer site, play streamers FIRST rather than ads in my face. Bye now.

  6. Allow enrolment in the program to be paused and then resumed as necessary, rather then the current option which is just to remove yourself from the program for the current month. The reason I would find this useful is that once a month I do a tournament stream and ads are extra intrusive in this setting and trying to fit them around the content is just another thing to do during a busy stream.

  7. I used to regularly receive an AIP offer every month, but I haven't had one for the last few months. I reached out to Twitch to see what was up but all I received back was a generic "You did not receive an offer this month, and unfortunately we can't tell you why. Maybe in the future you will blah blah blah". This generic response has to go in my opinion. Why is it all so cryptic? The AIP program is really important for staying as a full-time streamer so I think we need much more transparency.

  8. GET RID OF THE AD PROGRAM

ITS NOT USEFUL ITS LETTING STREAMERS LEAVE TWITCH FOR YOUTUBE AS YOUR PUTTING MONEY IN THE STREAMER HEAD LIKE THEY NEED TO RUN ADS LIKE 30MINS A MONTH THAT IS LIKE 8 ADS A HOUR FOR LIKE $3,500 A MONTH STOP DOING IT AND FOCUS ON THE REAL THING LIKE GAMING AS TWITCH IS A PLATFORM FOR GAMES AND NOT OF ADS AS IF PEOPLE WANT TO WATCH ADS TURN THE T.V ON THERE IS LOTS THERE
