1. Sexual imagery

   Truth be told. I don't think it is appropriate for ANY Twitch user to be posting ANY sexualized photos period no matter how they cover themselves up. This is a gaming content site NOT pornhub and sex has no business being on a gaming site. There ARE minors that game n like watching n following other gamers and don't think they need to be exposed to garbage like that. ANY form of nudity, whether using hands or stickers to cover up genitals is considered sexual content and should be an automatic suspension or permanent banning due to ALL policy violations. Community policies are screwed and need to be reformed that there is NO nudity or sexual content allowed PERIOD on their profiles whether be of self, other people, video clips or gifs. We came for games and peaceful chats, NOT SEX! I'm quite sure that other twitch users will agree with me on this. We're game nerds, not hormone loaded toads. Please ban ALL forms of sexual content.

2. I hereby suggest easing account suspension measures related to bullying and harassment.

   Concerning the issue of malicious individuals using multiple accounts to target specific users in order to abuse the measures mentioned above and force their suspension, I think chat-related issues can usually managed within channel moderation grounds without any active involvement of Twitch, except for the cases in which severe violations occure.

   The current system imposes a 14-day suspension for repeated harassment towards others, which I consider excessive, for it can lead to mumerous mistaken suspensions. Additionally, avenues for appealing these suspensions are limited, raising concerns that users may leave Twitch if this issue persists.

   Many acquaintances have experienced mistaken suspensions, while those who maliciously and falsely reported them faced no penalties. While recognizing the necessity to address trolling behaviour, I hereby suggest leniency in penalties is a more practical approach than the strict enforcement of the aforementioned suspension measures and appeal process.

   I see no issue with using the word "Latino" in the title of a clip. That is LITERALLY the name of an ethnicity. Please explain how that counts as "inappropriate language."

4. A little confused about whether banning removes follower

   So I know this has been discussed a couple of times, but I think that's part of where my confusion is coming from. I want to know whether, as a mod or broadcaster, does banning a follower remove them from the broadcaster's follower list or not?

   So I'm a little confused about this. I know that if the broadcaster blocks a follower, the follower gets removed from the follower list. But does banning remove the person as a follower or not?
   Also can banned users follow the broadcaster after getting banned?

5. Mobile bugs and emote glitches

   I've noticed these bugs recently while using the platform and figured to list them all here instead of sending a ticket for each one.

   Mobile bugs

   1. When I try to redeem channel rewards, I can open the channel point menu but can't redeem anything on an affiliate's or partner's channel.
   2. Whenever I send messages, my name is displayed in black without my badges showing. I would either have to look at the streamer's chat overlay or refresh their channel page to fix it on my end along with having to use my bits.

   Desktop (not mobile desktop)

   Only one bug that I've seen. I'm subscribed to an affiliate's channel or a partner's channel and sometimes the emotes get locked even though I have an active sub for that streamer.

   I've ran multiple updates on my app since 2023 and not seen the above mobile bugs fixed.

6. My community and I dont feel safe.

   Ive reported somone for bullying and harrasment with the proof to match. Its been months and nothing was done. Now today this same person has leaked my personal cellphone number to his chat/stream. The vod is there. The time stamps are there. Nothing was done before so how am I to feel safe knowing it has gotten this far with no action taken.

   On the "Block this user" selection screen after reporting a clip, I would like it to be clear which users are specifically targeted for blocking.

   Details:
   I was reporting a clip created by a malicious user.
   (Specifically, clips created with misleading titles that make it seem as if the channel owner is misbehaving, even though they have nothing to do with the actual video content being clipped.)

   I intended to report the affected clip and the user who created the clip.

   After I finished reporting the clip, I was presented with a "Block this user" selection screen. The text in this screen did not specify the user name and was not explicit about who I was blocking.

   I thought I was blocking "the user who created the clip," so I checked the "Block this user" checkbox and proceeded.

   However, in reality, I was blocking the "streamer" who is the channel owner of the video from which the clip originated.

   Even though I have been a long-time supporter of the streamer,
   Also despite the fact that I reported the clip in order to protect the streamer,
   As a result, it was a false report against the streamer.

   And when I blocked the streamer, the follow was removed from me to the target streamer.
   Twitch has a "follow start date" and that date has motivated me to support them for a long time, but the date has been reset and I am very sad. (I also contacted Twitch support, but they told me that "at this time, Twitch support does not have the tools to restore an account's follow history (information about how long someone has been following a channel)." )

   To prevent the same mistake like mine, I would like you to make sure that when you block a user, you clearly state their username.

8. Twitch Staff Deliberately Neglects Enforcing Rules

   When Twitch staff receives reports with clear proof that a streamer is in violation of guidelines, they ignore the reports and deliberately fail to take action. I know because I have sent reports stating the violation, linking the rule being violated, and included screenshots and video clips. Everything is made perfectly clear. Yet, hours later, the streamer is still streaming doing the same thing. And this has happened many many times over a year.

   If the streamer is continuing to do it, then whatever punishment Twitch is imposing, probably none, is not enough. The streamer continues to do it because they profit from it. Their viewer count goes up and subscriptions increase. The opposite should happen. There are many things that could be done that are not that would be effective such as ending the stream when they see the violation, withholding subscription payments for that month, or banning for increasing periods of time. Increase the punishment until it stops.

   Someone or some multiple staff are fully aware that the streamer is clearly in blatant violation of the rules repeatedly, and they doing nothing. Twitch staff who read these forums might be complicit, so letters need to be written that go over their heads and visits to the offices made to get to the bottom of and isolate the problem. It could be one or a few people conspiring or it could be systemic.

   Over the past year it has happened at least hundred times.

   The rules:

   "Attire

   For all streamers, you must cover the area extending from your hips to the bottom of your pelvis and buttocks....

   ...Swimwear is permitted as long as it completely covers the genitals, and those who present as women must also cover their nipples...

   ...Content subject to this contextual exception must be placed within the Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches category. Content that violates standard attire guidelines and is not subject to this contextual exception (e.g. wearing a bikini outside of pool or beach setting) is still violative even if placed into the Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches category...."

9. Stop the nepotism

   There have been many cases where people have been suspended for blatant rule violations by committing sexual and or vulgar acts, however these ban/suspension durations (if they get banned or suspended at all) seem to be directly related to the large following and income they bring to twitch. it would seem to me and most anyone with access to your site, that it is an unfair practice to simply pick and choose who you decide to allow to break the agreements based off of the monetary value they create. Ive recently started streaming myself, and have had one viewer suspended for simply making a joke that was far less crass than my stream itself, and if the twitch moderators were to review this stream they would see that it was in good fun, my response even reflects how i received the joke in jest. there are cases like "toadphd" where suggested advice is less than safe, but everyone knows its just humor, yet no actions are taken, as they shouldnt be, because it is light hearted viewer interaction. however, "amouranth" and streamers like her all walk right up to the line of your guidelines, spit on them and and cross over them in almost every stream (partial nudity, suggestive sexual behavior, clearly selling her ip for traffic to a more sexual platform), yet every suspension and ban is almost immediately lifted. explain to me how that is equal or fair enforcement. either ban and suspend all of these large streamers with the same magnitude, or simply stop suspending or banning people all together. let the community moderate itself because clearly twitch cant do it with any sense of fairness. Stop the nepotism.

Had a friend who is a small streamer (affiliated) being a viewer for another small streamer (and was labeled mod) get suspended for 7 days for saying something. Was it again your "guideline" Yes, in a sense, it was out of guidelines but it wasn't nearly as bad as some of the stuff I've seen Twitch allow.
    (Context clues showed that it was an inside joke between the streamer and him and was accepted by the streamer.)

    It wouldn't be a big deal if treatment was across the board, but I've seen some viewers and streamers say some heinous stuff and nothing happened.
    I've seen streamers practically naked (banned for a day tops) with all sorts of things being said in chat, or a streamer threatening to shoot someone, but because they make Twitch plenty of money they don't get in trouble.

    So reccap, you'll suspend someone small for 7 days and reject appeal, but allow all the other stuff. Make it fair, stop with the nepotism

11. All users must activate their twitch account with phone verification and and passport-ID

    Enable full verification of a user with a mobile number and passport ID. So that it can stop people looking for and abusing the young people who stream.
    When the same user can only create a new account with a new e-mail, it does not make security very high for the young people that predators try to take into private rooms. To date I have reported many people trying this.

    If safety is important for those under 18, this should be a matter of high priority. Enable that "everyone" must activate their account with a mobile number.

    This is hair-raising that twitch can't stop this.

12. Better Enforcement of Policies To Anyone Under Suspension/Ban

    Better enforcement of policies regarding individuals who are under suspension/ban. Anyone who commits violations to the ToS should get suspended/banned based on the offense, and if said individual commit any other violations (ban evasion, appearing on another person's account, etc.) while suspended/banned, they should automatically be hit with a permanent ban.

13. copyright enforcements

    I just recently started streaming music in my streams. today i used twitches own download, pretzelrocks, and some of my content got cut out for copyright issues. how am i supposed to know something that is being advertised as safe to use for music has copyrighted music thrown into it? I dont think it is a very good idea to use these music companies as recommendations if copyright enforcement is going to be thrown in even though its advertised as safe to use while streaming.

15. Filter out obvious erroneous song detections

    A simple check will allow many erroneous DMCA "muted audio" events from ever happening. This simple check:

    1. Are there multiple detected songs?
    2. Are they ALL at exactly 3:00?

    If so then they CANNOT be legitimate detections - after all how can you have multiple songs at the same time, and always, without fail, occuring at precisely 3:00?

17. Time to end unaffordable censorship

    No more censorship of nudity or sexual content. It's too expensive and when hundreds of Twitch staff lose their jobs it is no longer an affordable priority. Just say no to finger wagging and beat downs over bare breasts.

18. Bots de follows ataque

    Hola que tal, lo que sucede es que he recibido un "ataque" de bots que me han dado muchos "Follows" vi que a varios colegas les pasaba por lo mismo, estaria bien que terminaran con eso, ya que, es muy molesto tener que desactivar las alertas y no poder agradecer follows reales y de mas, es muy incomodo y afecta a practicamente todos (se que twitch hace limpieza de lo mismo cada cierto tiempo) pero soy un streamer nuevo y queria comentarlo

19. Vtuber s not being able to be on homepage due to new guideline’s

    Ok so I think for vtuber you should make it so they can still be on the homepage because it’s kinda unfair how they have to label their stuff as sexual content when there really isn’t anything sexual about it, it’s just relaxing sounds to sleep to so that’s all if you can do this thank you

20. Labeling streams with Sexual Themes is not enough because thumbnails of them still appear in category listings.

    Labeling streams with Sexual Themes is not enough because thumbnails of them still appear in category listings.

    They need there own category to be required to be in. Streams with someone shaking their buttocks in the camera should not be allowed in categories such as Art. I am sick of seeing preview images of them in channel lists. It is disgusting. We should have a choice in whether we see that or not.
