How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. The traditional Chinese translation for the term 'DropsEnabled' is '啟用掉寶', but the current display shows '启用掉宝' which is simplified Chinese instead of traditional Chinese.

And also, there are many texts in simplified Chinese characters in your customer service feedback menu. Please check your text errors.

  2. In very recent news, Twitch has not been complying with the overly strict requirements of censorship required by the site to run in Russia.

Twitch has been fined now multiple times. Twitch within a month.
It is easy for us all to see that you will not bend the knee and start censoring the streamers on your platform. However, it's also easy to see this situation won't end anytime soon.

I think it's wrong to blanket ban Russian streamer and delete their content. Obviously. We have to preserve that history for once the war ends.

    However, the site being allowed…

  3. In the danish translation of twitch the chat slow-mode notification is "Du kan chatte i X sekunder", and it has to be "Du kan chatte om X sekunder". It seems kinda weird to me...

  4. The german localization titles the sub gifter badge as "Person, die das Abonnement verschenkt" which equates to "person who gifts the sub" in english. This sounds very unnatural. Closer to the english "sub gifter" would be something along the lines of "Abo-Verschenker". Another more natural alternative would also be "Person, die ein Abo verschenkt hat" which translates to "person who has gifted a sub".

  7. Hey everyone!

I'm located in Ukraine and got registered in Twitch some time ago.
Since Twitch does not have Ukrainian localization yet I had to choose English one instead.

Luckily there is a petition to add Ukrainian locale here:
    https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/924619-localization/suggestions/43430019-add-ukrainian-localization-please

Nevertheless, when I logged in to my Twitch account today, I got an email notification in Russian, so I had to translate it to understand it well.

I don't know why it happened but I would like to receive notifications either based on my location (Ukraine - in Ukrainian) or based on my profile language (English and when Ukrainian will…

    Hi all!

Could you please answer a few questions:

    1. What was the language you chose when you created your account?
    2. Have you changed your preferred language at all since then or recently?
    3. Is this the first time you’ve received an email in your non-preferred language, or has it always been sending emails in Russian?
    4. To be clear, if you click on your profile picture, and under “Language”, you have “English” chosen, but are receiving Russian emails?

    Edit:
    5. What is the language you have selected on https://help.twitch.tv?

  8. The Czech Republic and Slovakia have more and more new creators, but not only the small ones but also the big ones who have thousands of people on their live broadcasts and would need faster support in their native language.

Excuse me, but twitch support is often extremely slow and it is unacceptable for streamers of this size to wait for comments for a few days. Therefore, it would be good to introduce Support for CZ / SK as Poland has, for example, but with the difference that a live support chat could only be implemented for twitch partners.

    I…

  9. The currently "experimental" reactions feature ( https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/reactions?language=en_US ) translates the "Love" reaction as "Romántica" (Romance) in Castilian Spanish. This has really bad implications towards the streamer-viewer relationship. It should be translated as "Me encanta", meaning you are enjoying the stream a lot.

  10. Greetings!

I would like to ask you about adding Belarusian localization and language tag to Twitch.

    Why?
Because Belarus-speaking community grows every year, and more and more companies are ready to acknowledge that. Among those companies you can find Google, Apple and more.
Therefore, it would be great if Amazon would join'em in this and add Belarusian language on Twitch. It also will be a great chance to support freedom in our country in nowadays hard situation.
That would be a big win for our society. Żywie Biełaruś!

  12. As an Asturian user I love to watch asturian streamers. But Twitch plataform don't allow me to set that my videos are in Asturian because I can't specify that I'm streaming in Asturian I must choose: "Others".

This situation creates a problem for at least 600,000 people that speak Asturian because we have no easy method to find videos/streams in our language.

For that reason, We will really appreciate that twitch adds Asturian (Asturianu) language as an option on Language settings of Live Streams.

NOTE: that we are not asking to translate the whole platform. We only want an easy…

  13. First of all, I’d like to remove the eye symbol emote, as you know, some people on twitch are Muslims, and in Islam, eye symbol is haram (not allowed in Islam basically) so I’d like you to remove it immediately, second of all, lower down the ads, people are getting like 5-10 ads these days, yeah it helps out the streamer but still

  14. Please just add more language categories. It is not hard to type out a few more words to make a world of difference to Twitch users around the world.

So many promising streamers are locked under "Language: Other", which doesn't let them get the recognition that they deserve and would receive in their own language community.

  15. The Spanish translation for "While X is offline", at the main page, says "Mientras X está desconectado". This last word is masculine, making the phrase inaccurate for non-masculine streamers.
I think, in order to be more inclusive, the correct phrase should be something like "Mientras X no tiene conexión" or "Mientras X no está en directo", avoiding words that depend on the streamer's gender identity.
I didn't see this kind of mistake anywhere else, but I think this should be revised in general.

  16. Every single time when I'm on a new pc and I want to log into Twitch I need to receive a verification code to be able to log in. I'm from Belgium and I live in the Flemish-speaking (Dutch) part. This SMS however is always in French. The majority of the people speak Dutch in Belgium and everything else on Twitch is in either Dutch or English.

  17. The green pill that says "SAVE" in the "Save by subscribing for logger" dialog.
In Finnish version this is mistranslated as "TALLENNA" (as in "save file"). It should be "SÄÄSTÄ" (as in "save money")

  18. The Romanian translation for the most used word on this website is very odd and difficult to understand: "Redare in flux". You could keep it as "stream" or "live" or use something like "transmisiune".

  19. A tradução da área que mostra a última transmissão realizada, na página do canal, está incorreta.

    Exemplo: https://imgur.com/a/qkqtkE0

O "de" impede a presença do "há" no texto.

    Sugestões de correção:

    • "Confira essa transmissão de [categoria] de 4 dias atrás"; ou
    • "Confira essa transmissão de [categoria], realizada há 4 dias"

  20. English: "# Channel Points awarded to # viewer(s)"
Korean: "시청자 #명님에게 보생으로 # 채널 포인트를 드렸습니다"

There is a translation error in Korean at the streamer's dashboard > Predictions.
It hasn't been fixed since long time ago.

"보생" must be fixed to "보상" as "awarded"`s translation.
And "~님" is also awkward for Korean.

I suggest "시청자 #명에게 보상으로 # 채널 포인트를 드렸습니다"
