  1. Dear Twitch team,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my strong support for adding Ukrainian language support to the Twitch platform.

As you may know, Ukraine is home to a thriving gaming and streaming community, and Ukrainian is the second most spoken language in Eastern Europe. Despite this, Twitch has yet to add Ukrainian language support, which has been a source of frustration for many Ukrainian content creators and viewers.

I understand that adding language support can be a complex process, but I strongly believe that the benefits of doing so far outweigh any…

  2. Good afternoon! On behalf of Belarusian gamers I ask you to add the Belarusian language to the "Broadcast language" list in the settings, so that the channels can finally separate their broadcasts from a number of others.

This will make it easier for viewers to find content to watch in their native language. Thousands of people can't find the content they like, and therefore stop using Twitch. Support for the Belarusian language is support for a large language group in the center of Europe.

For example, several channels whose authors use the Belarusian language, but which are forced to select…

  3. I want to be able to search for streamers based out of their their specific origin country they reside / or at least created their account. This will be an auto-opt out I suggest, and can only be opted in manually if users entered / toggled this on. If possible maybe even allow the user to enter the State/Province and City too.

I am looking to make more friends in specific areas of the world, at least with the ones who want to encourage this type of networking. Hence the manual opt-in.

  5. I believe that the decision to add Ukrainian localisation would be more than right, as Ukrainian is the eighth most widely spoken language in Europe, and this summer the popular Ukrainian streamer Leb1ga reached a record 34878 views, which is a definite sign of the relevance and usefulness of adding Ukrainian localisation to Twitch. May the Ukrainian Twitch community flourish!

  6. When events occur, Twitch will tell the user when it starts and/or ends, however, these values are hardcoded and are somtimes wrong depending on what locale is used.

This is written as of 2024-08-29 when the 2024 SUBtember starts.

The message currently in US English is: "Save up to 30% on new subs until Oct 1 at 12AM PT."

"Oct 1 at 12AM PT" is hardcoded and does not change based on the users timezone. When switching to UK English, the message is the exact same, despite UK English using 24-hour time, and does not use PT. This is also…

  7. I suggest change current translation of Follow ("Отслеживать") to "В избранное" and Following ("Отслеживаемое") to "Избранное" and Followers ("Фолловеры:") to "В избранном:"
    That might sound better.

  8. In the cancellation emails "Ihr Abonnement wurde storniert", there is a space missing after the date.

    Current Translation:
"Ab dem in dieser Mail angegebenen Datum wurde dein Abo gekündigt und wird sich nicht verlängern. Bis zum 1. Jul 2024genießt du weiterhin deine Abonnementvorteile."

    Expected Translation:
"Ab dem in dieser Mail angegebenen Datum wurde dein Abo gekündigt und wird sich nicht verlängern. Bis zum 1. Jul 2024 genießt du weiterhin deine Abonnementvorteile."

  9. Currently clips has overlapping text on suggested stream.
I suggest to shorten it from "ПРЯМАЯ ТРАНСЛЯЦИЯ" to "В ЭФИРЕ" as on other places of Twitch.

  10. When set to Japanese, Twitch uses a bunch of Chinese titles for games instead like Dishonored 2 is shown as "冤罪殺機 2" (Chinese) instead of "ディスオナード2". This is especially bad because in Japanese the title is also written as plain English "Dishonored 2" as can be seen on the game's box (https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71a9um43+XL.jpg)

If you don't have a single person competent enough to tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese at least just leave the English titles instead because that's at least intelligible to Japanese users.

  11. Slovak translation of category ,,just chatting,, has been changed recently to ,,Len sa rozprávame,,. Although the translation is right, it just doesnt sound right. Its a cheap word by word translation. Change it back to ,,Chatovanie,,.

  13. I have found a translation error on the following page (https://www.twitch.tv/directory/following). In the upcoming streams section on the followed page, if there is less than 1 hour left to the stream, for example, let's say 38 minutes left to the stream, instead of writing "38 dakika sonra başlıyor", it is written "38 dakika sonra dakika sonra başlıyor". This means something ridiculous like "It starts in 38 minutes after the minute" in English.

  14. Hello.
    I have a question.
Why, when I open any category of popular games, the first thing they offer me is the channels of Russian streamers or streamers whose broadcast language is Russian.
I'm from Ukraine and sometimes I stim in my native language. If there are no Ukrainian channels in this category, can I show all channels and not show Russian channels first? Or will add Ukranian language categoty.
    Thank you.

  16. Twitch is a large organization that is active in many countries around the world. And there may be problems with the legislation of any country, which happened in mine.
Has Twitch considered opening branches in Russia? (Twitch Russia) This is a great opportunity to comply with the laws of Russia and, it would be a good idea to defend the rights of streamers in Russia. And which can also open up an additional market for advertisers, which will increase the company's profits.

  17. There are some YouTubers which would prefer twitch as a streaming platform but fear that their community will not find them when they have to switch their names. Since twitch doesn't allow "ä", "ö" and "ü" in their creator names those with these letters in their names get discriminated.

    Thank you very much

  18. Hello! There is a typo in the French Moderation panel, in the Level 2 of Ban Evasion Detection block: "Likely Evaders" and "Possible Evaders" are both translated in "Personnes contournant possiblement un bannissement".

In that way, in the first menu selector: "Personnes contournant possiblement un bannissement : Les personnes susceptibles de contourner un bannissement seront restreintes. Leurs messages ne seront envoyés qu'aux modérateurs." the word "possiblement" should be replaced by "probablement".

    Thanks!

  20. With twitch recap uk was thrown in as "rest of the world" while america had 3 distinctive definitions of types of america's. The UK is a big enough factor that it should have it's own statistics in this regard, twitch focuses on american streamers and as a result all of twitch is mostly targetted at the same american streamers, the UK deserves some recognition and the recap should have had statistics relavant to the uk seperately, also there should be a UK twitchcon, not just a europe where you have to travel to other parts of the world just to…
