1. Add ukrainian language

   Dear Twitch team,

   I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my strong support for adding Ukrainian language support to the Twitch platform.

   As you may know, Ukraine is home to a thriving gaming and streaming community, and Ukrainian is the second most spoken language in Eastern Europe. Despite this, Twitch has yet to add Ukrainian language support, which has been a source of frustration for many Ukrainian content creators and viewers.

   I understand that adding language support can be a complex process, but I strongly believe that the benefits of doing so far outweigh any challenges. By adding Ukrainian language support, Twitch would be able to expand its user base in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, attract new content creators, and provide a more inclusive platform for Ukrainian speakers.

2. Belarusian Language / Беларуская мова

   Good afternoon! On behalf of Belarusian gamers I ask you to add the Belarusian language to the "Broadcast language" list in the settings, so that the channels can finally separate their broadcasts from a number of others.

   This will make it easier for viewers to find content to watch in their native language. Thousands of people can't find the content they like, and therefore stop using Twitch. Support for the Belarusian language is support for a large language group in the center of Europe.

3. Kazakh language on Twitch (filter & language)

   The last 2 years, broadcasts in the Kazakh (Qazaq/Казахский/Qazaqşa) language are gaining popularity on YouTube.
   For example (March 2022):

   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVQBykqCPZg - 2000+ live peak viewers
   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHtXj6DDlKQ - 800+ live peak viewers

   Kazakh is now only available on YouTube, so mostly Influencers choose this platform. Although many of the viewers follow the broadcasts on Twitch, as the many CIS esports competitions are broadcast there. Also, there are Twitch streamers who broadcast in Kazakh in the Russian category

   In the filters there is the country of Kazakhstan, but no Kazakh language.

   Goal #1 is to add a filter with Kazakh language
   Goal #2 is to add Kazakh for viewers in Kazakhstan (default recommendation of Kazakh streams in Kazakhstan)

4. Does not offer Ukrainian channels

   Hello.
   I have a question.
   Why, when I open any category of popular games, the first thing they offer me is the channels of Russian streamers or streamers whose broadcast language is Russian.
   I'm from Ukraine and sometimes I stim in my native language. If there are no Ukrainian channels in this category, can I show all channels and not show Russian channels first? Or will add Ukranian language categoty.

5. Catalan Translation

   It's been a while since Twitch has become a mass service used here in Catalonia. For years, different users have asked if it would be possible to have the Twitch app available in Catalan, our language.

   It's not hard to have the desktop apps (Win, Mac, Linux, Web) and the mobile apps (Android, iOS, Windows Phone...) translated into Catalan. A lot of other services and apps have included Catalan years ago (services and products from Google, Apple, Microsoft, Mozilla... already include it).

   We understand that Twitch has enough resources to translate their apps and services to Catalan. Why Belgians, Canadians and Swiss can have the apps in two different languages and in Spain there is only one option? Why people in Andorra don't have the option to choose their official language, Catalan?

6. More options for "Stream Language" (EUSKARA)

7. Bug in localization Portuguese Brazil

   Guys, every time there is an event on Twitch, like SUBtemper for example, there is always a bug in the website interface when I use it in my native language which is Brazilian Portuguese.

   In short, in the bottoms and divs, or in the boxes that normally exist on any website in general, when I use the website in Brazilian Portuguese localization, I always come across bugs in the interface, in which the positioning of these elements exceeds the proposed limit on the website, and the element hides in another element, or is inside another div. As a result, the interface is buggy, ugly, and unusual.

   Observation: there are other bugs in the interface in the Brazilian Portuguese language, mainly when I use the prime subscription, it doesn't work even after it has been renewed to use it, I have to switch to the English language for the option to appear.

8. Localisation issues on the analytics screen

   I'm using Twitch in Swedish, primarily for the Swedish formats since English (Sweden) isn't an option.

   But there are some improper formats on the analytic screen, and this issue is likely happening to several other languages, and is likely due to hardcoded functions. By resolving these issues, these are not only resolved for Swedish, but also for several other languages.

   When you press on the date-banner at the top to change the date, the date-pickers are displaying with Sunday first, which is quite confusing to look at since Sweden is always Monday first. This calendar should reflect the locale chosen. When grouping days by weeks, the weeks are Sunday-Saturday. To me this is like displaying 31 March–29 April. The locale should determine which days are grouped.

   The streamed time is written as "1 h, 59 m" which is also improper. I suggest not using a comma, since it isn't necessary for combined units, and use the proper symbol "min". While it is unambiguous here, it's still good to be consistent and correct. "m" is metre, "min" is minute. It should use the CLDR narrow symbols for hour and minute here and combined using CLDR narrow unit list (displaying list), so that's "1 h 59 min" in Swedish, "1 hr 59 min" in English, "1 Std., 59 Min." in German, and so on.

   Then the Swedish translation is "Tittare i snitt:Kanal", which does reflect the formatting of other languages. But I would suggest writing this as "Tittare i snitt/kanal" to follow the standard usage of / to mean "per". Then the translation "Uppskattad bläddringsplats" is too long, and I would suggest shorten it to "Uppsk. bläddringsplats", where "uppsk." is a common abbreviation.

   This page also uses the short year-format for the achievements that I don't like, and is also not official. It shouldn't say 23-04-10 but rather 2023-04-10. There's one way to write it with an abbreviated year in Swedish by writing 10/4-23 (d/M-yy) but I still think you should use the proper date-format here regardless.

   I'm using Twitch in Swedish, primarily for the Swedish formats since English (Sweden) isn't an option.

9. Streams which only reward one timezone.

   Today there was a stream on https://www.twitch.tv/worldoftanks/ which rewarded twitch watchers with drops. Unfortunately the stream went live between 3am and 6am Eastern Australian Time.

   Why not make this steam VOD so everyone in the world including families and kids can watch it at a sensible hour?

10. Localisation on game titles sometimes appear wrong (bugs)

    Twitch uses data from IGDB, but there are some errors where this data isn't applied properly. IGDB uses the North American (NA) title by default, and has the European title as the alternative, even in situations where the European title is the original or matching the original better.

    • The schedule on twitch.tv uses the NA title regardless of locale selected. Both the small item of the schedule, as well as when you click on it to expand it. But the cover used is localised.

    • The video producer on dashboard.twitch.tv use the NA title regardless of locale, when you edit a video to change the category. But searching for category does use the localised title.

    • The languages Norwegian, Russian, Turkish does not use the title listed as European on IGDB and defaults to the NA title.

    • When you open a category-page on twitch.tv, the page-title is using the localised title ending with " - Twitch". But if you click on the tab Videos or Clips, it's now using the NA title instead.

11. Dutch translation error in (affiliate) anniversary message

    In Dutch language, in the translation for the affiliate anniversary (ENG:
    
    PartyHat Happy Affiliate Anniversary!) the emote PartyHat is translated into Feestmuts (DUTCH: Feestmuts Gefeliciteerd met je Affiliate-jubileum).

    Feestmuts would be the correct translation for PartyHat, but the emote only works with the English term (and translation in other languages has the PartyHat emote).

    The same error might also be in other celebration messages (like partner anniversary).

    Please add a German language option which does not use Gender language (you can leave current German option as default).

    Or use the generic masculinum and add (m/w/d) at the end.

    Gender language disrupts reading flow and is not including everyone, e.g.

14. Improving the Finnish localization of the Content Classification Label

    Currently, the title of the classification label in Finnish reads as "Tarkoitettu tietynlaiselle yleisölle" which translates as "Intended for a certain kind of audience". I'd propose using the translation "Tarkoitettu rajoitetuille yleisöille" which translates back into English as "Intended for limited audiences." There is a difference of tone and meaning, but most importantly the plural form of the original "Intended for certain audiences" is conserved.

15. Add Galician option on Live Stream information settings

    As a Galician streamer I love to watch other galician streamers. But twitch plataform don't allow me to set that my videos are in Galego because I can't specify that I'm streaming in Galego. I must choose: "Others".

    This situation creates a problem for at least 3.000.000- 4 million people that speak galician because we have no easy method to find videos/streams in our language.

    For that reason, We will really appreciate that twitch adds Galician (Galego) language as an option on Language settings of Live Streams.

    NOTE: that we are not asking to translate the whole platform. We only want an easy way for galicians and any other existant language to filter the content and classifty it.

    When hovering over a linked streamer in the title of a stream the word Streaming is translated as Atrømmer instead of Strømmer. Strømmer is the correct translation.

18. Block Russia from accessing Twitch due to Fines

    In very recent news, Twitch has not been complying with the overly strict requirements of censorship required by the site to run in Russia.

    Twitch has been fined now multiple times. Twitch within a month.
    It is easy for us all to see that you will not bend the knee and start censoring the streamers on your platform. However, it's also easy to see this situation won't end anytime soon.

    I think it's wrong to blanket ban Russian streamer and delete their content. Obviously. We have to preserve that history for once the war ends.

    However, the site being allowed in that country is another matter at the moment. Please do not wait for the Kremlin to ban Twitch. Please, start preparing immediately for a full disconnect from Russia for the health and wellbeing of the site as a whole.

    This is a win/win. Take a stance against the war.
    Protect your core company values and interests before you're fined again or worse.

    In the danish translation of twitch the chat slow-mode notification is "Du kan chatte i X sekunder", and it has to be "Du kan chatte om X sekunder". It seems kinda weird to me...

    The traditional Chinese translation for the term 'DropsEnabled' is '啟用掉寶', but the current display shows '启用掉宝' which is simplified Chinese instead of traditional Chinese.

    And also, there are many texts in simplified Chinese characters in your customer service feedback menu. Please check your text errors.
