Add Ukrainian language Ukraine has a ~40M population, of which, according to the last census, 67,5% consider Ukrainian their mother tongue.
Ukraine has a vibrant gaming community. Ukrainian eSports teams (go NaVi!) are some of the most successful and competitive in the world.
Valve added Ukrainian language option to Steam in 2013 and since then the number of Ukrainian Steam players (and Steam games that have a Ukrainian localization) has been steadily increasing. According to SteamSpy, as of June 2016 there were 3.7M Ukrainian players in Steam. (source: http://steamspy.com/country/UA )
Given the above mentioned arguments, we, the Ukrainian gaming community, ask of you…
28,183 votesThank you for raising this issue and sharing your feedback. We are in the process of rolling out a Beta version of Ukrainian localization across Twitch. Users who have their mobile devices set to Ukrainian should automatically see Twitch in Ukrainian once our roll out is 100% complete, and web users with their system language set to Ukrainian will also be able to experience our Beta version. We want to make the Twitch service accessible to as many people as possible, and localization is a part of that.
Once the rollout is finished, we will mark this issue as "Completed." Thank you.

Add Farsi/Persian as a language option. Around 110 million people speak Farsi worldwide and in Iran alone, there are more than 28 million gamers according to a national survey.
There are many Farsi speaking streamers on the site and I'm sure Twitch knows about the number of people using the website within Iran (even though many use VPNs almost all the time to be able to access many websites next to watching twitch). As many have said before, not having the option for the language of the stream is hurtful for all the viewers of the website. No one uses the "Other" language option to find…

Catalan Translation It's been a while since Twitch has become a mass service used here in Catalonia. For years, different users have asked if it would be possible to have the Twitch app available in Catalan, our language.
It's not hard to have the desktop apps (Win, Mac, Linux, Web) and the mobile apps (Android, iOS, Windows Phone...) translated into Catalan. A lot of other services and apps have included Catalan years ago (services and products from Google, Apple, Microsoft, Mozilla... already include it).
We understand that Twitch has enough resources to translate their apps and services to Catalan. Why Belgians, Canadians…

Add Ukrainian localization I believe that the decision to add Ukrainian localisation would be more than right, as Ukrainian is the eighth most widely spoken language in Europe, and this summer the popular Ukrainian streamer Leb1ga reached a record 34878 views, which is a definite sign of the relevance and usefulness of adding Ukrainian localisation to Twitch. May the Ukrainian Twitch community flourish!

Add Add Georgian Language on Twitch. I know there's only around 100,000 Users on Twitch from Georgia but it would be so cool if Twitch will have Georgian language on the platform.
If there's no one that can help to do this, Hit me up ;)
I can translate Twitch to Georgian Language.58 votes -

Add "ä", "ö", "ü" so Youtubers can keep their name when they want to join twitch There are some YouTubers which would prefer twitch as a streaming platform but fear that their community will not find them when they have to switch their names. Since twitch doesn't allow "ä", "ö" and "ü" in their creator names those with these letters in their names get discriminated.
Thank you very much

German non-Gender Please add a German language option which does not use Gender language (you can leave current German option as default).
Or use the generic masculinum and add (m/w/d) at the end.
Gender language disrupts reading flow and is not including everyone, e.g.
Kolleg*innen
This does not include males since the word Kolleg does not exist in that context.

An accessibility issue lacked: Customizing time/clock and date formats (time stamps, schedules) independent of chosen language Customized date & time formatting proposal
My idea is to allow us to customize which clock/time formats and date formats we have displayed when logged into our accounts, and have this be separate from our chosen language or even chosen sub-language. Say an American person or American streamer is dating another streamer from a different country, for instance a an American streamer living in the US is dating an Australian streamer living in Australia. They sometimes collaborate, not always in person but sometimes from afar, and it could get confusing when they need to plan and check their schedules on…2 votes -
I would like to be able to set language settings in settings not as a cookie The language keeps resetting, even though I set it to English it changes back. Since I can't set my account to a language it changes ever so often. I expect my setting to be honored.

Arabic Users who rely on right-to-left scripts face serious limitations when trying to present their identity naturally on Twitch. I’d like to propose a few important improvements to support those users more effectively:
Allow Tatweel (ـ) in Display Names
This character is part of the writing system used to visually stretch words for style or identity. It’s commonly used in names like "ريـوف" or "زيـاد". This should not be rejected as it’s not abuse or decoration — it’s part of natural word formatting.Support vowel markers (Tashkeel) in Display Names
Some names include vowel signs (like َ ِ ُ ّ )…2 votes -
persian Why has Twitch Dev Removed "Persian" or "Farsi" from the language choices. How can we have that back? Feels slightly discriminatory.
