  1. It would be nice to be able to choose the default max length of a clip when an Elgato Stream Deck is integrated. For example, I've opted to make clips myself using the "Create Clip" action on the Stream Deck. My gripe with this is that all the clips default to 30 secs. This is unfortunate when there are moments that are within the 90 sec. max, but fall outside of the 30 sec. default. So, on Twitch's end, either in the Stream Manager or in the Clips section in Settings, I'd like to see a "Change Default Max Length"…

  2. After a recent Twitch website update it appears certain links to collections are now broken. Some time back all these worked but now only some do.

    Here are some concrete examples:

    Broken:
    https://www.twitch.tv/collection/Xu2cp82VPhaBZQ
    https://www.twitch.tv/collections/Xu2cp82VPhaBZQ?filter=collections

These are the links used on the Twitch Dashboard and the /video page meaning internal links are also broken.

    Works:
    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/818316804?collection=Xu2cp82VPhaBZQ
    https://www.twitch.tv/cragsand/collection/Xu2cp82VPhaBZQ

  3. I am Autor of clip.
How can I know, why my clip is deleted?
I Editor of channel. I can't see, who deleted my clip and why.
    Streamer can't help me too.

How can I check what happened with my clip?

Please, create an information system for this (for autors, for editors, for streamers).

    • If clip is deleted by the Editor of channel — Write this "Removed by Editor" (and not required: editor comment).
    • If clip is deleted by the Twitch (Administrator/Moderator/Editor/or another role) — Write this with a reason.
    • If clip is deleted by the autonomic system — Write…

  4. i think that also fresh users should get the chance to upload videos from their pc to twitch, videos of which they filmed before. it's a good way to (later on) start streaming, cause it's a bit embarrassing for beginners.

Admin audit: changed "uplaod" to "upload"

  5. I like the idea you can have collections on your channel, but I noticed you cannot set a custom thumbnail for a collection. I wish I could do that just like with Uploads.

  6. atm the description in the description-box is cut in the half of the length of the box. The text should dynamically fill the description box in the length.

  7. I have had VODs unpublished due to things like detecting copyrighted content in a game I was playing, which is fine on it's own. I can just republish the VOD, or allow the clip to be muted, and any subsequent VODs due to forgetting to switch VOD publishing back on can be republished. However, the chat does not re-associate with any clips made that stream even when the VOD is published again. I would appreciate having the chat available for these moments, especially when the stream JUST happened.
It's also unfortunate that a VOD's expiry deletes the chat replay from…

  8. This is the msg from the page i got after 5 minutes of refreshing and waiting for it to load with nothing open in the background not even twitch.
"Well this is awkward… Something went wrong.

Refresh the stream and try again, or tell us what happened."

  9. Occasionally, I will be watching a stream live and I need to leave before the end. I will then pull up the vod the next day but the length of the vod is somewhat of a spoiler. I am suggesting a feature that hides the total vod length behind a spoiler toggle. If the toggle is off the true time of the vod is displayed, otherwise it will obfuscate the true length and show the current play time as "latest" or 0:00 like a livestream.

  10. I usually create a marker while I'm live so I know where to look for the clippable moments and I can go back after the stream is over and create the clips.

To see markers you need to use the highlighter, but you cannot create clips on the same page. You have to go to the actual VOD, go to the specific time and then click the "create a clip" button there.

Can we get the "create a clip" button in the actual highlighter to prevent this nonsense please?

  11. For the collections that I have made so far, I think it makes sense for the most recent videos to be at the beginning of the collection. Whenever I add a video however, that video is added at the end. It is very inconvenient and time consuming to move large amounts of videos to the top of the list by dragging them.
It would be nice if the default behavior could be changed to add videos to the beginning. Or perhaps an option to sort a collection chronologically ascending/descending... Or perhaps an option to move a video to the top…

  12. On a vertical monitor browser, theatre mode with chat on should fill the horizontal portion of the screen, shifting the chat downwards to fill the bottom right of the screen, similar to how YouTube's theatre mode fill the top portion of vertical monitor, shifting suggested videos on the right downwards. This will increase video screen estate to make it easier to view the videos.

  13. Right now, when you click the username of the person who created a clip in the "clips of your channel" overview, it links to that person's own clips page on their channel. These users often aren't streamers, and either way it's not particularly relevant to go to clips of another channel when reviewing your own channel's clips. Instead, I propose that clicking the user name should bring up the user card for that person, so you can confirm if they are following you or their previous chat history, which is much more relevant information if you need to check if…

We might need to delete the start of a stream but leave the rest of the video being recorded to

  16. With larger international audiences, you're likely going to have some people relying on VODs due to time differences or work/life commitments.

I envision a VOD feature where you can see the VOD player and if you click a button you can see bubbles along the progress bar or a graphic which if you click on brings you to other users watching. I imagine you could have two columns or maybe an interspersed chat so that users can decide what they see.
The benefit is that people can enjoy watching VODs with others in sync. Sense of community.

    Not sure if…

  17. Allow for playback speed of .25x-2x or higher speed for past streams similar to YouTube videos. This will help viewers who are short on time and watch more videos in less time.

  18. Id just like to directly export clip of gameplay straight to my youtube channel. It'd help smaller streamers who possibly cant edit their VoDs just yet or don't have enough space to store it in one go.

  19. Some streamers currently feel that there isn't enough incentive for people to sub. I think that streamers should be able to have a stream that is only visible to subs, similar to the sub-only feature for VoDs. This could allow creators to reward their subs for supporting them and to give non-subs more incentive to sub. I understand that some streamers might begin to only do sub-only streams, but I think that should be their decision, and that they will almost certainly lose viewers by doing so. They need to decide whether or not the few gained subs would be…

  20. I've been thinking about this for a bit, and would love to spitball the idea with someone.

Could it be an idea to enable streamers to make a custom thumbnail for their streams, then have it preview when you hover over said stream.

That way, it would allow people to showcase special things about their streams that make it more interesting.

For instance, I see a lot of competitive players of a bunch of different games using a title like "800+ wins" or "3000 ELO" - So with the custom thumbnails, they could showcase that, and if the viewers were…
